Chapter 118

The world went insane from the news. A famous celebrity is involved in narcotics and rape. Not to mention that she's a woman is loved by many of her fans.
All of them are so disappointed.
"Are you sure that it doesn't hurt?" I asked him that question for who knows how many times already. Damon looked at me and smiled. He shook his head.
I heaved a deep sigh.
You can't blame me. The stab was real and so as his blood. It may have less pain than normal, but it's still an enough reason for me to get worried sick of him.
I don't even like the small bruises he gets when we're training. What more on an actual open wound like this?
"A—Are you sure? I can ask for more painkillers to Elaine. You don't have to bear the pain if it hurts."
Damon raised his hand to caress my cheek. "You're embarrassing me. I'm a pure dragon. Don't expect me to cry on a small wound," he said in an amused voice. I frowned at him.
"You call that small?! So, what's big to you, huh? The ones that will open your body and show your guts. Geez! I don't know what to do with you."
He pulled my head closer to him. "Shhh. You're being too loud. Elaine and Gab are sleeping on the next room," he hushed. I pouted my lips.
He's right y'all. The four of us finished the plan successfully. Gladys is now behind bars. Our friend's telepathic gift helped a lot and people started bashing and pointing their fingers at her. I don't know her much, but I think she deserves that.
Gladys will have to stay there for ten years. I think it's not enough to pay all her sins, but I do hope that it will make her realize things.
"Can we really go home now?" I whispered in his chest. He's hugging me tightly on the hed. I buried my face in his hard chest and inhaled his scent. His dragon scent that I'm so addicted to.
"The whole world is distracted now and I just found our a recent bombing incident. It officially got rid of the footage trending on Quacker," he replied in a low voice. I curved my lips into a small smile. I'm glad that things are going as planned.
"We'll leave as soon as the sun rises."

Elaine and Gab were already outside the living room when I woke up. She likes cooking food that's why and she ended up following a recipe book to cook us pancakes.
"How does it taste?" she asked enthusiastically.
Damon and I glanced at each other. I think she mistaken the salt as sugar. This thing is so salty it's making my bladder hurt.
"I didn't know that humans like salty food." Gab drinks a glass of milk to wash away the saltiness. Elaine gave him a threatening glare. "But it's absolutely delicious. Some dishes are better when they're salty," he contrasted.
I chuckled softly. I'd just eat the peanuts.

"Are your things packed? Make sure that nothing is left behind. We will never go back in this place again once we enter the portal," Damon said in a serious tone.
Elaine started checking her small sling bag. Most of the stuffs she has are plant related. Nothing much. She went out in the garden and started talking to the plants when we got here. I also think he turned the apartment into a mossy forest.
I'm sure that Tanya will shit herself once she sees what happened in here. I missed that bitch.
"I think I got everything already. Should we go now?" she chirped with a big smile plastered on her face. Gab glanced at the books he read while we were in here.
I hope I can give it to him as a gift, but human inventions are not allowed in Vortaxia.
Wait...
"Didn't you say you used magic to get me the candies?" I asked Damon. He arched his brows confusedly.
"What candies?"
"The one you gave to me while we're waiting on God Hlaford's approval."
He smiled. "Oh, that? I got it from the market and yes. They used magic to bring the candies in Vortaxia. Why do you ask?" he questioned. I glanced at Gab who's still staring at my bookshelves and at Elaine who's eyeing my recipe book.
"I think we'll have to bring some stuffs in here to Vortaxia."

"Oh my gosh! Thank you. I will enjoy the recipes in here so much. I love you guys!" Elaine said those words from the heart. I glanced at Gab who's already reading the book.
I smile when I felt Damon's hand on my waist. "Didn't know you like spoiling your friends," he whispered sexily in my ears. I chuckled.
"They deserve that. Elaine and Gab worked a lot for this mission. We wouldn't have done it quicker without them."
He squeezed my arm gently. "How about you reward me later too?" he said in a low voice. My cheeks turned pink.
"Shut up."
I landed my eyes on the two love birds. "Let us go now?" I told them. They nodded their heads cheerfully. I looked at Damon. "Chant the spell before I smack your head," I threatened. He smiled playfully and let go of me.
He walked to the old closet and closed his eyes.
I can still recall how I got this old furniture. It was left intentionally by Aluncina. My heart clenched when I mentioned her name in my mind. The last thing I remember is her disappearing with Miss Puff on the Tree Clinic then God Hlaford was found.
"Hezbeu portal juzmek. Guento nib Vortaxia."
Conyans weren't able to find out the truth. It's still a mystery how they ended up disappearing without a trace and how they managed to bring back the powerful God or Spheria.
"Golden?"
I hope I have the ability to see places like Mapheus. I want to find Aluncina. She's the only family I have and now she's been taken away from me too.
"Baby?"
Our mission is still not done. We still have to go back there and end that the menace started.
We'll get that bludgeon back no matter what.
"Baby." I flinched when I felt a sudden touch on my hand. My head turned automatically to the guy standing beside me. "You're spacing out. The portal has been open. Elaine and Gab went inside already," he said. There's a hint of worry in his voice and I can't help, but feel sheepish.
I did space out?
"Is there something bothering you?" he asked.
"No, nothing. I'm good. I just couldn't forget Elaine's salty pancakes. I feel like I just consumed the amount of salt I would eat in a year," I joked. He gave me a small smile and pulled my forehead closer to his lips.
My eyes closed when I felt his warm kiss on my skin.
"I'm glad that we're going back safe. God Hlaford's advice bothered me the whole time we were doing the mission. I thought there would really come a time that we'll have to leave them behind to save ourselves."
He pat my back. "Don't worry about it. We're done here and we're suppose to go back now," he replied in a sweet voice.
Damon escorted me to the portal. The bright light flashes before my eyes and the next thing I knew is I'm already back to the world where I truly belong.
"She's here!" Elaine blurted when she saw me coming out of the portal.
She immediately ran towards me to give me a tight hug. Damon came out soon after.
"I can't believe we did the mission successfully. Isn't that just a hell of a rollercoaster ride?" Gab commented with both of his hand in his pockets. A line formed in between my brows. Did he just say a phrase that most humans say?
He chuckled when he saw me staring at him peculiarly. "I read it from this book. This is really interesting. I didn't know you can pay a machine to make you turned upside down and throw up. I guess humans are really weird," he said amusingly.
My lips curved into a genuine smile. I am glad they're safe.
I am glad we're safe.
