Chapter 117

Golden's POV

The loud music didn't hide the hideous scream of the women in one of the VVIP rooms. People started staring at each other with peculiar expressions on their faces.

They're sharing one question in their minds. One question that everyone is so curious about right now.

What in the world is happening inside that luxurious room.

"She's coming out," Damon said in my mind. I nodded in spite the fact that he can't see my face. "You can loosen the guards now." That's the last thing I heard before I take Elaine's hand to bring her to the actual scene.

Gab used his gift to control the mind of the guards. He's a real package.

And Elaine and I distracted the customers while they're setting the trap.

"Are they done?" she asked as she followed me quickly from behind. I remained my blank expression and nodded to her question shortly.

The silence of the crowd turned chaotic when a bloody woman came out of the room with blood in her hands. Damon— being the best actor he is—came out of the scene like he's been stabbed for real.

"H—Help me," he said in a weak voice.

It's weird to see him acting all weak and vulnerable. Well, that's part of the plan. I turned my blank face to a scared one when people started looking at us.

"Oh my gosh! You stabbed him!" I screamed like a crazy bitch while pointing Gladys. She glared at me. I can see confusedment in her eyes. "Someone call the cops! The popular celebrity, Gladys Muñoz, stabbed an innocent man. The world must know about this!" I added while taking a video of her.

I can already see the views adding rapidly just by linking her name to the live video.

"What the hell are you talking about?! I didn't stabbed him. He stabbed himself!" she defended herself desperately while asking for the crowd's sympathy.

But who would believe her when she's holding a knife in her hand?

"What are you stalling at? Go and call the cops!" Elaine blurted to the bouncers who are pretty dazed on what they're witnessing right now. What happened to their tough faces that look like they don't fear anyone?

One of the customers grabbed his phone and called the emergency line.

"They're on it," I whispered in my mind for Damon to hear. He lifted his head to look at me. "Does it hurt?" I asked worriedly. He looks like he's about to faint. Even his face looks pale already.

Elaine said that the herbs she made for Damon can help him feel no pain at all when stabbed. It will also thicken his blood for a moment, so that he won't bleed to death.

"I'm all right. Just let them act. Gab is on the way to the hospital."

Damon's looking straight into my eyes while saying those words. His small smile made me less worried.

"Don't let her leave. Bouncers grab that murderer!" said the mother house of the club. Elaine pokes me.

"Should we leave now?" she asked. I landed my eyes back on the scene. People are now throwing judging glares at her. Their phones are all open and recording. More of them started calling the cops.

It's perfect.

"Let's go."

Elaine and I headed back to the spot. Gab is already on his way to the hospital to manipulate the results of Damon's confinement. We just have to change our clothes and we'll go there soon to fetch them up.

We stayed in the car. I'm now wearing a much comfortable and less scandalous outfit. A few moments later and two police mobile came together with an ambulance.

"Just wait outside the hospital. Gab and I can do this ourselves. Watch out for distractions. We'll never know. There might be vortans who'll ruin our plan," Damon said in my mind. I heaved a deep sigh when I saw him being carried on a stretcher. Didn't know he's such a good actor.

"Our live video just reached three million views in fifteen minutes. It's number one trending in Quacker!"

I glanced at Elaine. She's staring on the phone with astounded eyes. My lips curved into a smile. I guess the plan is more than half way done. All we have to do now is wait.

"It's putting the Supernatural Caught on an Asylum CCTV footage to the rock bottom. I think the plan is working well, Golden. We should go and wait for them now," she said and looked at me. I gave her a small smile. I'm glad that Travis spared me some of his time to teach me how to drive a four wheels.

Elaine and I arrived at the hospital successfully. I can see from here the business of everyone when Damon came out of the ambulance.

That's good.

"Do you think Gladys will be put to jail immediately. I think we should follow her to the police. We don't want her bribing them and using her popularity to twist the scenes."

Elaine breaks the silence in the car. I glanced at her. She's sitting in the passenger seat while watching how the views of the live video increase rapidly.

She's right. This is not the first time that she got called out for being a rapist. That woman managed to free herself and put the blame to the real victim. Although this time it's more critical, we still don't know what she's capable of.

"I think I know where to go," I said and started the engine. Elaine is still watching the phone as I rushed to the police station.

"We're following Gladys to make sure that she's behind bars," I said in my mind. Damon's breathing became intense. He didn't like the idea of us going there. It's not part of the plan.

"No, you can't do that. Have you forgotten that the suspicious Wizardus is in there? Once he saw you getting all worked up with Gladys, he'll realize the situation immediately!" He sounded so desperate.

I heaved a deep while turning the wheels. I'm already headed there though.

"Wizardus may not have the actual gifts like us, but they're gifted with intelligence. They created their own spells and magics. We can't fool them, baby."

I rolled my eyes and take a quick U-turn. He's right. Wizardus are smart asses and we can never ever fool them with our petty reasons. We just just trust the process, I guess?

"W—Wait! Why are you going back? I thought we'll follow her to the police statio—" I cut her off with a quick shake on the head.

"Damon told us to stay and let things be. There's a spy on the police station. We might end up ruining the plan once he sees our faces," I explained to her. She arched her brows curiously. I already know what she's going to ask.

How do I know that there's a spy...

"When we came here to do the first mission, one of the police instructed us to go to the asylum where the incident happened. His weird actions and saying made us suspect him. He had a peculiar smile on his face when I called him out for being such an asshole in putting Aluncina to the asylum," I explained further. Elaine crumpled her face.

"So, you mean there are Wizardus in here?"

I glanced at her and nodded. Her confused expression gets me all the time. She looked like she's trying to process everything in her brain.

"Not just Wizardus, Elaine. Vortans are everywhere in the human world. Those who committed felony chose to hide in here. We even met Foxxy. He's a Mythos."

The number of cars in front of me got me a little confused. Thanks to huge signs on the side of the roads. I could see where we're going.

"But I thought Vortans are not allowed to be in here? Isn't that just a little off for everyone? Don't they really care about what's going to happen in our world once humans found us out?" she asked. I stopped the engine and turned to look at her.

Elaine looks very troubled while reading the mean comments on the video. Some say that Gladys deserves to die for what he did to Damon.

I flinched when I heard Damon's loud breathing in my mind. I squeezed my eyes shut to hear him better.

"Mission complete," he said in a serious voice.
