Chapter 56

God Hlaford taught us Fiscio's nature. We learned that he's a juggen fish and that he might look like that he's not paying attention to what you are saying but he's actually listening. He's a yellow fish and yes he does expands twice his size when he feels threatened.
That's his defense mechanism and that's how they know when someone's a bad guy.
Not everyone can pay him a visit. Only those who have serious reasons can go and ask him for advices. Nobody tells him what to do. He is so sacred that no one can be its spokesperson. He has his own rules. You'll know when you can't visit him. He will tell you.
That's why I'm kind of nervous. What if he doesn't let us talk to him? What if he doesn't open his door? Who can else them? What does he want? But you know what? We'll find out.
"Just stick to this path. You'll know when you're there when the ambiance starts to lighten," Diante says. Yes, he's the one who escorted us and he looks so happy about it.
"You're not coming with us?" I asked. He forced a smile and give me his blessing by putting his hand on the top of my head.
"I know that Damon will not let anything bad happen to you. And Fiscio likes to have a peaceful visit." He smiled and look at Damon. He mouthed him a good luck and pulled himself away from me. "Go now. I wish you both a good luck."
I forced a smile. Damon locked his hand with mine and we both watch the God of Classife leave. As soon as the huge door closed shut, I looked around the place. I couldn't hide the amazement in my eyes.
The sacred water is just below us. One jump and we will sink to the deepness of the sea. I grab the magic beans from my pocket. God Hlaford gave this to us. This magic beans can help us breathe underwater because who knows how long will it take for us to find Fiscio.
"Are you ready?" he asked. His green eyes are filled with mixed worriedness and enthusiasm. He likes this quest.
"I should be asking you that. Here's yours." I put the magic beban on his palm. It's glowing like a piece of diamond. It's blue and sparkly. "Let's swallow it together," I told him. He nods and waited for my sign.
I nodded my head and we both put the beans in our mouths like a pill. He swallowed his really well but I'm kind of choking in here.
"It's roughn in texture!" I blurted as soon as I swallowed the pill. He stared at me worriedly but I just rolled my eyes. "You make me swallow stuffs so don't act like a worried parent," I taunted. He smirked playfully and hold my hand.
"Feeling something?"
I diverted my attention to my body but I failed to feel anything weird.
"No. Can you?" I asked back. He smiled.
"That's good. Jump!" And he pushed me on the water. I wasn't able to breathe in for air. Damn it! I hold my breath and pinch Damon's masculined arm. He looked at me confusedly.
"You can breathe here," he says. He looked like he's not struggling to breathe so even if it scares me, I released my breath and breathe in.
Hell no! I can actually breathe underwater. So this is what its like to be a fish? Water is so refreshing. Hahaha! This is fun.
"Are you okay?" he asked. I happily nodded. I tried to open my mouth and speak.
"This is fun!" I blurted. He shakes his head amusedly and kiss me on the lips swiftly. I licked my bottom lip and scanned the place. There are plenty of fishes! How are we going to find Fiscio in here?!
"Diante says that Fiscio likes to sleep in huge clams. We should try finding him there," he says like as if he reads what's on my mind. I nodded and we both swim deeper to the darkness of the blue oceans.
Apparently, I could see clearly in water. It's weird but cool at the same time. I thought that Fiscio would be in an aquarium where he is alone but they're actually a marine life in here. There are tortoise, crabs and more. I have always wanted to do diving before but I'm not really good at holding my breath.
I always find myself drinking water and gasping for air like a tired raccoon. I like the sound of water. It's great.
"There's one right there." He pointed a huge but closed pink clam. We swim there and my heart started pounding when we reach the edge of it. We're literally just a few steps away from the clam.
"Fiscio?" I called but no response. I glanced at Damon and he just smiled.
"Maybe he's not there?" he asked. I heaved a sigh and was about to leave when I saw a little turtle. What the... They don't live in water.
"I think it needs our help," I said and look at the poor turtle struggling to swim above. I was about to touch it when Damon grabbed my arm.
"No, baby! Remember what God Hlaford told us?" he reminded. I shook my head trying to remember what the God of Spheria told us. "There are mermaids here too. They play tricks just to stop us from doing our quest and catch our attention." My face turned pale. Oh hell yeah. I almost forgot about that.
"Sorry," I mumbled.
"They can't get us if we don't trust them. That's a thing in mermaids. They might make you feel irritated of me again to seperate us. Can you promise me that you will fight their spell?" he asked. I nodded submissively. It's not like I have a choice.
I tried to ignore the turtle I saw and accept his hand. We went to the other side of the sea and try to find another clam that may contain the fish we are looking for.
I couldn't hide the amazement in my eyes as the fishes pass in front of us. They have different colors and kinds. They look amazing.
"There's another one right there," he says and pointed a yellow clam. We were about to swim there when we heard a beutiful singing voice. Wow!
"Golden!"
I wonder who owns that voice. I feel enchanted. How is this possible. I looked around to try find the girl singing her heart out but I failed.
"Golden!"
I let go of Damon's hand and starts to swim away. I don't know what I'm doing. I just want to find that girl singing. She has an angelic voice. Wow...
"Golden! No!"
