Golden's POV

"HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND!"

My body winced when Damon yelled suddenly after hearing their message. His deep voice echoed in the four corners of Hlaford's chamber. I can feel his frustration through his tight grip in my arm.

The red-haired guy just smirked. Greg snarled at him making me hide behind my parsen's back. If it weren't for this scary looking man who happens to be Damon's father, I wouldn't know that his stepbrother's name is Draco.

I whimpered when I felt his hand warming up.

"Let the girl go, Damon," the god of Dragonia ordered. I bit my lip when he finally let go of me. He looks at me worriedly.

"I—I'm sorry."

I stood beside him. As much as I want to leave this room to breathe some air for the current atmosphere is quite suffocating, I felt the need to stay and support my parsen.

"He is the Vortan mentioned on Gaviel's prophecy," Greg said and pointed at his son, Draco. "If she is the girl then she is my son's parsen!" he yells. My heart started pounding.

I don't like that Drago guy! I can't stand his toxic personality.

Hlaford and Dragunus looked at me. I pursed my lips and clings to Damon's arm. There's no way I'll come with them.

"The Findan pot did not find their parsens in their kingdoms. They were the only parsenless Vortans in Vortaxia," Hlaford says calmly.

"But that doesn't necessarily means they're parsens," Greg debated. I wanted to throw him a quick punch on the face for being such a jerk but I don't want to be burn alive. He's a flame dragon.

"Draco has found his parsen," Dragunus told him.

"That's a mistake! How can a lowly powerless dragon like him be her parsen?" Greg spit those words so easily. I looked at Damon and I saw the hint of pain in his eyes. It came from his own father and I felt bad for him.

His father's a jerk.

I closed my fists and released a deep sigh. I've reached my limit. He has a foul mouth!

I shoved Damon to the side and glared at him.

"With all due respect, Sir! You can't twist our faiths by forcing your douchebag son to me. We can repeat the Parsenation Ceremony if that will shut your foul mouth up," I told him frantically. "And don't you spit those nonsense comments to your biological son. That only reflects how bad of a father are you."

I gasped for air. They all looked at me with an astounded expression. It seemed like they weren't expecting me to speak up.

My eyes widened when I realized what I just did.

Oh my...

I covered my face and hide behind Damon. I can't believe I said those things to the highest of all highest in Vortaxia. How can I have no control of my mouth. I'm so dead!

"She's right."

My ears twitched from what I heard. Hlaford agreed on what I said?

"Let's redo the Parsenation Ceremony," he stated. Dragunus nodded his head. "The Findan pot did not reached their parsens because they were in different dividus. Let's redo it and we'll shall see the truth."

Damon looked at me worriedly. He's afraid that the result will change. I gave him a comforting smile.

I trust him. I know that he's my parsen and that prophecy will not change it.

The Gods of Kingdoms decided to give us some privacy to talk. Damon and I were left Hlaford's chamber with his annoying stepbrother.

"Will you really go this far?" Damon asked.

Draco looked at our spot and give us his usual irritating smirk. His diabolic eyes were fixed to me and I couldn't help it but glare at him.

He has the guts to come here and call me his parsen? I'd rather swim in a pool full of feces.

"Golden is beauty. It's not hard to fall to someone like her," he slurs. I immediately grabbed Damon to stop him from attacking his stepbrother.

"Afraid that I'll take your little girlfriend away, chicken?" he laughs. I can hear Damon's deep breaths. I caressed his ark softly to calm him.

The door opens and three Findan fairies appeared together with the Gods. The glowing loud fairies fly around the chamber. They formed a line in front of Hlaford and bowed.

"Shall we start, God Hlaford?" they said in chorus. Their thick English accent made me a little nervous.

Draco's POV

I smirked when I saw the Findan fairies. You must have been wondering why I came all the way confidently despite the fact that I'll lose anyway.

Findan fairies never lie.

Even if I threatened them to death, they will never lie about the results in the Findan Pot.

That's why I came up with a plan. If I could get them to lie and twist the results, I would rather make the results vague. That could even buy me time.

While they're away. Father gave a few dirt drops in the Findan Pots. That way, the message will be unclear and hard to understand.

Father looked at me and I smirked when he nodded. He has done it successfully.

"Shall we start, God Hlaford?" they said in chorus.

"Blessed." That one word from their God permitted them to bring the Findan pots inside.

I will take your place, Damon. I will...

Golden's POV

A fairy stopped in front of me. "Please have your left palm touch the water inside the Findan Pot," she says. I stared at the crockpot floating in front of me. I lifted my head to look at the fairy.

She smiles and nodded.

"Don't worry, dear. The Findan Fairy never lies!" she swears and raised her hand in the air. I smiled hesitantly.

I lifted my left hand and touch the water inside.

I automatically close my eyes when the pot released a strong light. I saw the light subsided through my eyelids but I keep my eyes closed.

I'm afraid that instead of Damon, his annoying stepbrother will be standing beside me.

"Open your eyes, dear." I heard her say. I slowly opened my eyes and look at the guy standing beside me.

"Damon!"

I jumped onto him and hugged him tightly. I was so scared that it'll be Draco.

"How..." I heard his father utters. He looks so confused and mad. Draco had the same reaction and I just laughed at then mentally.

Forcing that freaking Draco to me won't work.

Hlaford smiled at us and I gave him a sweet smile.

"I hope that gave light to your confusions," he says to Draco and Greg who looked like they've lost a football game.

That's what you get for being such jerks. Psh!
