Chapter 36: Wedding Plan

2321words
Ramona never expected that Nick would be so brave and stubborn. She thinks that the failure of their previous marriage will be enough to stop the man's intentions. However, it turns out that Nick still insists on continuing their wedding plans.

Ramona knew that she had to buy time, looking for a way to avoid this marriage. The only way to truly escape Nick is to immediately find solid evidence of Hunter's parents' murders. If he could get that proof and hand it over to Hunter, then Nick would definitely be over soon.

"How? Do you agree?" asked Nick in a soft voice, as if wanting to convince Ramona.

Ramona let out a deep sigh, then slowly rested her head on Nick's chest of fields. "I want to get out of Hunter's grip right away," he said in a snarling tone, trying to attract Nick's sympathy. "But I can't just leave either. My son is in his hands."

Nick looked down, gently kissing the top of Ramona's head before whispering, "I can take your son so that he is with us."

Ramona suddenly raised her head, looking at Nick with a look of disbelief. Nick's words were so shocking that he couldn't immediately respond.

Before he could say anything, Nick quickly kissed his lips for a moment. Ramona was stunned. Once again, Nick managed to surprise him with an unexpected action.

Nick crushed Ramona's lips again, this time a little deeper and more intense. Ramona just follows the flow, trying to give Nick a victory and feed his ego.

Even Ramona boldly put her hand around Nick's neck, showing that he was also interested in Nick, so that he could believe in his role in the play.

Nick, who saw Ramona's attitude towards him, felt that if Ramona was sincere and had no intentions with him, as a result he ignored Sevano's warning about Ramona.

It seems that Nick has really fallen into the fall of charm and Ramona. Now the desire to have Ramona is greater than anything.

Ramona pulled herself up making Nick open both of his eyes, it could be seen that the gaze was so disappointed.

"Take a break, don't think about anything else. Your health is the main thing, tomorrow we will talk about Hunter again," Nick nodded and kissed Ramona's forehead for a long time.

Nick hugged Ramona in his sleep, feeling very happy and so excited that he now felt what love was.

Meanwhile, Ramona herself feels that she is guilty of someone.

Yes, he felt guilty for Hunter.

Ramona seems to feel that she is betraying Hunter at this time. What's wrong with Ramona, doesn't she hate Hunter so much? Isn't it his dream to escape from Hunter for a long time?

Why does he feel guilty now when he's with Nick? It is undeniable that Ramona feels guilty about Hunter because Hunter is very sincere in taking care of his child.

Ramona tried to close her eyes with a heart that kept saying sorry over and over again at this time. held back her tears and rushed to sleep.

Hunter stared at the photos in his hand with a dark expression. His heart felt hot, burning by the fire of jealousy that he could not control. His chest rumbled at the sight of the image of Nick kissing Ramona.

True, all of this is just a play. A game that he himself co-created. However, that reality was not enough to dampen the turmoil in his heart. He was not willing. He didn't want anyone else to have Ramona.

Next to him, Liam glanced at the photos that were tightly grasped in Hunter's hands. In a relaxed tone, he tried to dilute the atmosphere, "No wonder this room feels very hot. It seems like I also smelled burning. What is your heart?"

Liam hopes that his joke can ease the tension a little. However, Hunter only looked at him with a flat, cold, and sharp gaze.

Liam clicked, then muttered in annoyance, "Why is your sense of humor so low? I'm just kidding."

Ignoring Liam, Hunter threw the photos on the table. His hand reached for a pack of cigarettes, took out the stick, then gently rubbed it on his lips before finally lighting the thermostat.

White smoke billowed from his lips in a long puff, becoming the only expression of his pent-up tiredness and annoyance.

"Let's quickly end this game," he said coldly.

Liam suddenly turned his head, looking at him in surprise. "It has to be now?"

Hunter looked at him again with a flat expression, making Liam sigh heavily.

"The problem is, Ramona is in Nick's hands," Liam said in a more serious voice. "Nick can do anything to him. Think about your woman before you make a decision. Are you sure Nick will give in and leave you alone? He wasn't the type of person who gave up easily. Ramona was lucky enough to escape her previous marriage without making Nick suspicious. Don't harm Ramona if you don't want to lose her a second time."

Hunter remained silent, but the look in his eyes changed. There was a clearly visible struggle there.

Today Nick has been allowed to go home. As a result, Ramona helps Nick to pack up and will take him home.

But soon Sonya came. Sonya was rude by pushing Ramona to the side from Nick's face.

"Ma!" pressed Nick when his mother was rude to Ramona.

Sonya immediately looked at Ramona and said, "A petty woman doesn't seem worthy of being your future wife. Don't you realize that he's playing tricks on you? He has embarrassed our family in front of many people!" anger Sonya made Nick throw away his breath angrily with a hand that gripped Ramona's hand tightly.

"Mama blamed Ramona for the cancellation of the wedding yesterday? Who made the mess Hunter why blame Ramona? Ramona is also a victim here, look, her body is full of torture, it is hard for her to come here to take care of me, why is it so hard for you to accept the reality?" angry Nick who was surprised by his mother's attitude towards Ramona.

Sonya smiled discordantly with her mouth gaping in disbelief when her son, defending other women than herself.

"You prefer him and defend him over mama?" Nick was just silent making Ramona have a chance to leave at this time.

Ramona gently let go of Nick's grip and said, "I'm sorry auntie, I admit I was wrong. But I'm sincere with Nick. Please give me a chance." It was not the answer but the slap that Ramona got.

Yes, this is indeed what Ramona wants, so that she can move away from Nick's side for a while.

"Mama!" Nick pressed and immediately grabbed Ramona's waist while examining her cheeks that were so red from her mother's slap.

Sonya with eyes full of glints of anger looked at Ramona, "One chance? Dream to your heart's content but don't expect you to get Nick a second time, I've already prepared a good woman for him." Nick squinted his eyes at his mother.

Ramona only lowered her head, to delve into her role.

"Nick doesn't want to, Nick will only marry Ramona!" he pressed and insisted Nick with muffled anger.

Ramona took Nick's hand and said, "Don't argue with your mom. You have just recovered. Go home immediately and rest. I'll go home to see my son too." Sonya squinted her eyes when she heard Ramona's words just now.

"What a cheap woman, how can you be so lowly, you slept with Hunter and Nick alternately, is this your way to climb the status in a rich family?" asked Sonya sarcastically and sarcastically.

"Ma!" pressed Nick once more, unable to contain his anger at this moment.

Ramona immediately said, "I'll leave first. Calm your mother!" he whispered quietly before he walked away from the hospital.

This was where Ramona was now, standing in the elevator that darted up to the top floor of Hunter's office. The clothes she wore were much different from usual—tightly covered, with a long coat, large sunglasses that almost covered half of her face, and a hat that was pulled low to cover part of her forehead. His appearance now really resembles a celebrity trying to avoid the spotlight of the presser's camera.

His gloved fingers clenched tightly beside his body, his heart pounding erratically. He adjusted his breathing, trying to calm himself down before finally hearing a 'tinging' sound from the elevator indicating that he had arrived at the destination floor. As soon as the elevator door opened, Ramona immediately stepped out quickly, her eyes searching for the room she was heading to—the President's Director's room.

At the same time, the door of the room opened and a man came out of it. Liam.

Ramona stopped her steps for a moment, then immediately rushed over to her. In a quiet but firm voice, he called, "Liam."

Liam was surprised to see Ramona suddenly appear in Hunter's office. His eyebrows furrowed when he saw Ramona's appearance that was so closed, as if he was trying to hide his identity.

"Miss, are you here? With whom?" he asked suspiciously, while looking back, hoping to find someone who drove Ramona.

However, Ramona just shook her head quietly. "Alone," he replied briefly. "What's Hunter inside?"

Liam nodded without saying much. He immediately opened the door of the President Director's room for Ramona.

Just as Ramona entered, there was an annoyed voice from inside. "Liam, can you stop playing with that door? You repeatedly go in and out just to annoy me!" Hunter's voice was clearly heard, showing his impatience.

However, as soon as Ramona opened her mouth, "This is me,"

Hunter who hadn't noticed at first immediately raised his head, his eyes curled in surprise. Without thinking twice, he immediately got up from his chair and approached Ramona. In a matter of seconds, Ramona's body was already in his arms. Hunter hugged him tightly, as if afraid of losing again, completely uncaring about Liam who was still standing in the doorway.

Liam, who witnessed the scene, could only snort. In a quiet voice, he muttered to himself, "Does he have two personalities? I really want to kill him right now."

Without waiting any longer, Liam immediately closed the door, leaving the two people in the room.

Hunter elaborated on his hug and only realized something.

Ramona's appearance.

Ramona took off her glasses, hat and slayer.

"I'm afraid that your employees will know about our relationship, especially if your mom doesn't like it too much, it will be a problem if Nick asks people to follow me or I accidentally cross paths with Jeseline, so I deliberately look closed to come here," Ramona said explaining her appearance that is so closed at the moment.

Hunter gently stroked Ramona's cheek and said, "I want to tell everyone immediately if you belong to me!" Ramona was speechless, between disbelief and confusion about how to respond.

Hunter immediately cupped Ramona's face with both hands, his eyes staring deeply before he finally crushed the pink lips with passion. The kiss was gentle, but passionate—full of passion and enthusiasm, as if wanting to vent all the longing that had been suppressed.

Ramona was shocked for a moment, but quickly her body relaxed in Hunter's embrace. The items he had brought just fell to the floor, forgotten. He wrapped his arms around Hunter's waist, bringing their bodies closer together. His heart was beating fast, but not because of nervousness—but because of the happiness that filled his heart.

Hunter didn't stop, his kiss was getting deeper, more intense. Slowly, he led Ramona towards the sofa without letting go of the link of their lips. His warm touch led Ramona until her body slowly leaned back, then lay down under her.

Without giving him a chance to think, Hunter overlapped the slender body with his burly body. Their lips kept connecting, deeper, more demanding, as if to affirm that Ramona was hers—and only hers.

Hunter pulled himself back for a moment and said, "Do you know how hurt I was when I saw you with Nick?" Ramona just kept quiet and listened.

"It was very suffocating but I couldn't say it and could only hold it. How long will this game last? I want to end it immediately, after that I will marry you and we will live happily together with our son," Hunter said quietly with glassy eyes while gently caressing Ramona's cheek.

Ramona swallowed her saliva and took a breath, "I'll try to find the murder evidence quickly and get back to you." Hunter again pursed the lips but was now more brutal and intense.

Ramona could only enjoy and reciprocate, squeezing Hunter's hair, indicating that he was also interested in her.

"I don't want to keep you in danger, I want to end it immediately," Hunter said firmly, telling him that he could no longer hold back his longing and jealousy of Nick.

He wants Ramona to be his whole without sharing it with anyone.

Ramona shook her head and said, "No. We haven't gotten what we're looking for." Hunter narrowed his gaze sharply and instantly got up from the top of Ramona's body, sitting down with a rough grunt.

"Then are you going to stay by Nick's side? Don't you miss Esther?" asked Hunter sharply.

Ramona swallowed her saliva and got up from her bed, staring at Hunter from the side.

"Please, give me a little more time. Nick wanted to ask me to remarry. Before that, I'm sure I'll find evidence of the murder right away," Hunter looked at Ramona in disbelief if he would fight that hard for him.

Hunter immediately hugged Ramona with such a sore heart and such excessive anxiety.

He was very afraid that something would happen to Ramona.
