On the floor, Ramona's body lay motionless. His breath was held when he saw his mouth foaming, a sign that the situation was critical. "Damn it! He deliberately wanted to kill himself," Hunter swore loudly, his voice full of anger and unusual panic. He immediately ran, approaching Ramona's cold and limp body. Without thinking, Hunter lifted him up with both of his sturdy arms, carrying him out of the room in an attempt to save him.
Hunter's mind was in chaos, his every evil plan seemed to collapse in the face of this scene. Seconds passed like centuries, and he couldn't help but feel the mixed feelings that surrounded him. On the one hand, anger exploded within him, but on the other hand, an unexpected impulse to save Ramona appeared, confusing his mind that had been dominated by cruelty.
Hunter stood in front of the treatment room, his restless steps continuing to imprint on the cold marble floor. He walked back and forth with his hands clenched at his side, his jaw hardening every time the thought of the incident crossed his mind. Occasionally, angry hiss came out of her tense lips, accompanied by an annoyed clatter. "You crazy woman," she swore quietly, though the annoyance in her eyes spoke louder than her voice.
Anxiety enveloped Hunter, though he tried hard to cover up every weakness that might be visible. He never thought that Ramona would be so desperate to take such a step. The thought struck him hard, messing up the plan he had been formulating perfectly.
Suddenly, someone's voice called his name, full of anxiety and uncertainty. "Hunter," the voice whispered, breaking the uneasiness that surrounded the hallway. Hunter turned his head quickly, his gaze turning sharply looking for the source of the sound. There, stood a person with a tense face, his gaze reflecting the same worries that Hunter had been harboring.
Hunter stood stunned, disbelieving his mother's arrival. "Mama?" she muttered quietly, her eyes unable to grasp the fact that Belinda, her mother, was now there. "How can it be?" he thought, confused and anxious. Every second that passed felt more and more tension inside him. He continued to swear in his heart, feeling that the matter was getting more complicated by his mother's presence. Problems that have been carefully planned, can now be in danger of being exposed.
Belinda, with an anxious face and a hurried step, asked worriedly, "How is Ramona doing?" Hunter, trying to calm his mother, tries to contain the anxiety that creeps over him. "Mama, don't worry. The doctor is still examining him," Hunter replied in a calm voice, though his heart was full of unspoken anxiety.
However, Belinda was still silent for a moment before finally asking with a curious look, "How did you know about this?" Hunter looked at his mother curiously, trying to find the answer on his face. Belinda took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down before explaining, "Just now Ramona called. He said his stomach hurt, and he said you locked him in the room. Therefore, my mother came quickly."
Belinda continued, her breath panting, "When I arrived at your mansion, the bodyguard said you took Ramona to the hospital, so mama came here." Belinda's words were like a slap to Hunter. He swallowed his saliva, his heart churning with anger that was getting more and more burning. *It turns out that this was deliberately planned by Ramona...* Hunter thought furiously, feeling betrayed. "Damn it... that woman," he cursed in his heart, frustrated.
Then, Belinda, who looked angry, asked a sharp question, "Why are you locking her in the room? Shouldn't he be working? What really happened?" Hunter, trying to stay calm, even though his whole body felt tense, tried to give a reasonable explanation. "He's been sick since yesterday, Ma," Hunter replied with a slightly trembling voice. "I forbade him to work, told him to rest. But he insisted on staying at work, so after seeing a doctor yesterday, I decided to lock him in his room so he could rest in peace," he continued, although he knew this explanation was far from enough to calm his mother.
However, in him, Hunter feels more and more trapped in the lies he has made.
The doctor walked out of the treatment room with a quick step, his face looking serious. Hunter and Belinda immediately approached her, eager to find out how Ramona was doing.
Hunter, who is usually firm, looked anxious this time, almost like waiting impatiently for news. "How is my maid, Doc?" asked Hunter quickly, his voice a little hurried, reflecting the anxiety that had been precipitating in his heart.
The doctor took off his face mask calmly, as if ready to give an explanation. "Are you the guardian?" the doctor asked, looking at Hunter with a professional look. Hunter spontaneously nodded, feeling a little surprised by the question. "Yes, I'm in charge," he replied briefly, trying to remain calm despite a wave of worry that could not be concealed.
The doctor nodded softly, then continued, "Can you come with me to the room for a while?" The doctor's voice was flat, but there was a hint of urgency in it that made Hunter feel even more uneasy.
Hunter looked at his mother for a moment, looking hesitant. However, after seeing that Belinda had started walking towards Ramona's room, she nodded softly. "Wait here, Ma," Hunter said, calming his mother before following the doctor to another room to listen to further explanations.
As soon as they both entered the doctor's office, the door closed, leaving Belinda standing outside, preparing herself to meet Ramona who was lying weak.
As soon as Belinda entered the treatment room, she immediately saw Ramona lying in a hospital bed. With a heart full of anxiety, Belinda quickly approached Ramona who looked restless and tried to sit down. "Lie down, you're still weak," Belinda said softly, holding Ramona's shoulder to make sure she stayed down. Belinda's voice was full of warmth, but there was deep worry in her eyes.
However, Ramona did not immediately comply. He stared at the door of the hospital with eyes full of anxiety, as if he heard the passing seconds that were so important. "There's no more time, I have to get out of here soon," Ramona thought to herself. His desire to escape from this situation was so strong, greater than the pain he felt.
Ramona tried to control her breathing, her eyes still glued to the door. He knew that time was running out, and for that he had to carry out his plan immediately. A carefully prepared plan, which would free him from Hunter's clutches and allow himself and his mother to go far, away from the man's influence.
Belinda, who saw the uneasiness on Ramona's face, was even more worried. "Ramona, what's wrong?" asked Belinda, trying to calm her down, though she didn't fully understand what was going on in Ramona's mind. However, Ramona did not listen. His head was filled with one goal: to escape. The time is getting closer, and Ramona knows that every second that passes is a lost second to be able to achieve her freedom.
With her body still weak, Ramona grasped Belinda's hand firmly, asking her to help her get up. "I'm sorry madam, I'm sorry if I have to say this. I am ready to be kicked out of the mansion, I am ready for you to be fired, I am ready not to receive a salary from you or your master. I am ready for all the consequences." Belinda immediately interrupted.
"What's wrong? Explain slowly why I have to fire you? What happened?" asked Belinda, who was curious and also confused by Ramona's attitude.
Ramona swallowed her saliva, quickly saying, "I am pregnant with the seed of Mr. Hunter!"
