"Focus your attention," Rayne instructed softly, "feel the pulse of the Silver Fern, let its power merge with your blood."
Lyra took a deep breath, feeling the flow of energy around her. The Sterling family had a thousand-year connection with the Silver Fern, but she had never tried to awaken this power so deeply before.
"I can feel it," she whispered, "like... a faint electric current in my blood."
Rayne nodded: "That's the awakening of the Silver Fern's power. Continue, let it flow throughout your body."
Lyra concentrated, guiding that strange energy. Gradually, her fingertips began to emit a silvery light, and the Silver Fern's leaves swayed gently with her breathing, as if they had come to life.
"It's amazing," Lyra opened her eyes, looking at her glowing fingers, "I never thought I could reach this level."
Rayne's eyes sparkled with admiration: "Your affinity with the Silver Fern is stronger than anyone I've ever seen. That's why you are the perfect Luna."
Lyra tried to control this power, making the silver light flow between her fingers, forming complex patterns. "Can this help us against the Dark Moon Stone?"
"Theoretically, yes." Rayne explained, "Silver Fern is the extension of laurel in the mortal realm, possessing similar purification powers. If you can fully master this power, perhaps you could counteract some of the Dark Moon Stone's influence."
Lyra suddenly felt dizzy, and the silver light quickly disappeared. Rayne immediately supported her: "Don't force yourself, this power needs time to adapt to."
"But we don't have much time," Lyra said through gritted teeth, "The trial is just two weeks away."
Rayne gently caressed her cheek: "We'll find a way. Remember what Aldrich said, true soulmates can find the path to the laurel's core."
Lyra leaned on his shoulder: "Do you really believe we can do it?"
Rayne nodded firmly: "I believe we can. Because we've already conquered death once, and this time, we will face everything together."
In the moonlight, he gently kissed her forehead. In that moment, Lyra felt the power of the Silver Fern surging within her again, stronger and warmer than before.
She understood now that this power came not only from bloodline, but also from the connection of hearts. And this was their most powerful weapon against the Dark Moon Stone.
