Rori-POV
Phoebe and i didn't say a word to eachother for the rest of the day and neither of us made a move to walk out of the room we were given.
Phoebe slept the entire time with her back facing me yet, i knew she wasn't asleep. She would sniffle once in a while and i know that she is crying. Instead of bothering her, i turned to my side and slept as well.
Today was a desaster. From upsetting Sithy to meeting wolves from rage wolf pack and my ex-mate has drained me already. But most of all, my talkative lioness is all quite on me and it's starting to worry me.
I'v been out of the woods for a couple of days and met people for a couple of hours and i'm already missing the peace and silence of the forest.
I don't want to be sleeping in this comfortable queen sized bed. I want to be home, sleeping in the small bed phoebe and i shared. I want to sniff the fresh air and scent of the trees. Yet, here i smell many animals, probably shifters and none of them are my kind.
I sighed before closing my eyes shut. When sleep was about to claim me, someone softly knocked on our door. Phoebe and i both sat up on our beds at the same time, wondering if there was a knock or not. But my sences tell me that there is another person on the other side of the door waiting for us to let them in.
I looked over to the window and saw that it was already dark. Probably past mid-night. Everyone would be asleep by now.
Phoebe slowly stood up and walked over to the door. I'm right next to her with in seconds when she opened the door.
At the other side, was a man i didn't recognize but he does smell like the wolves of silver fang pack.
"I'm sorry to disturbe you at this moment but, Alpha Light would like to see you." He spoke to phoebe. He's not lying. Alpha light did send him or else i would have smelled his lie on him.
"And you are?" Phoebe asked.
"Asher. I'm the former beta of the pack. I served for alpha Lights' father just until seven years ago." He explained and phoebe nodded her head.
"Please, give me a moment." Phoebe walked into the bathroom- yes, every room has its own bathrooms- and i walked back to my bed and dropped myself.
I heard a couple more sniffles and the tap being opened and closed before phoebe walked out. She had washed her face but the swalling of her eyes are yet to hide the evidence that she had been crying.
I sighed before closing my eyes.
"I'll be back." Phoebe said and i gave her a thumbs up without opening my eyes.
"Actually..." Asher caught our attention "Alpha light would like for your friend to join as well."
I opened my eyes to stare at the former beta of this pack before nodding my head.
I got up, slipped into my boots and grabbed my quiver and bow that was still tightly wrapped with thick leather.
"You can leave you bags here..." Asher commented but i was already hicking it up my shoulder.
"She's weird about her belongings. It wouldn't be a problem, would it?" Phoebe asked and Asher hesitantly nodded his head. As he walked out, Phoebe gave me a warning glare before she followed him.
Asher walked out of the pack house and we followed him in silence. After a short distance, we arrived at a small werehouse. The smell of blood made my nose wrinkle. Where the hell is he taking up?
The werehouse was built to look small but it has a stairs leading it down to the earth, making it wider on the inside. Its a doungen. Asher led us down a couple of stairs until the blood scent grew stronger and i had to resist the need to pinch my nose.
As the final door opened, i immideatly felt my energy getting drained and i stumbled.
Phoebe caught me by my elbow and looked at me confused until she turned to the doungen and saw that it is almost fully covered with iron.
"I'm fine." I whispered as i leaned a little on her. Asher waited for us to pass throught the door before he swings it shut.
"This way." Asher led us to the first doungen right ahead and i saw Alpha Light Angle and Noah standing infront of a man chained with silver.
As we stepped into the cell, my vision blurd and i had to squeez the strap of my quiver tight to gain a little concious. If i stay here a little longer, i might pass out. But i stayed put to see this through.
"Apha Light." Phoebe greeted the alpha and her beta/gamma before she looked over to the chained man.
The man hung limp from the chains and the shirt he wore was covered with blood and wripped all over. He had his head bowed down and his long black hair swangs in motion as he heavely breaths in and out.
He's a shifter. But he is not a wolf. The silver on his wrist and legs are not doing any damages other than keeping him tied up.
"Phoebe" Alpha light spoke in an un-usualy strong voice "you're a witch. Can you identify what kind of shifter he is?"
The alphas' question caught us off guard. Phoebe looked flustered as she moved closer to him. She reached out her right hand and lifted his head up.
His face had a couple of cuts but he seems to be healing fast. His eyes were light brown, almost soft gold and he had a hard expression on his face.
"He is a shifter. But...i can't tell what kind." Phoebe commented and Noah looked over to her.
"Use a spell to bring it out of him." He commanded and phoebe tensed.
"I can't." Is all she said before steping away from the man.
Alpha light sighed before rubbing her brows with her two fingers.
"This man was caught in our territory and from the looks of it, he has been hiding here for a while. No one, and i mean no one can pass past our territorial protection spell unless they are granted an invitation. My peopel and i made sure of that. But some how, this man over here seems he doesn't have any problem walking in and out of our territory..."
Alpha light growled in frustration and her eyes strated to glow. As soon as her anger radiated, the man snapped his head up and looked at her with wide eyes before looking right back at me.
There it is again. That strange yet familiar force. Except this time, i'm not only getting it from Alpha light. I'm also getting it from the stranger.
Alpha light, the man and i stared into eachother with pure confusion before a certain headach hits me and i looked away.
The iron around the cells was taming my lioness and she was struggling to break free.
"May i step out for a second?" I asked but quickly walked out before anyone could say anything.
I rushed up the staris and flinged the door of the werehouse open. But as soon as i did, a forced slammed into me and sent me flying back down the staris.
I let out a loud gasp as i rolled down the stairs. Every piece of iron around the doungen burned me at every contact i made until i was back on the ground infront of the cell the rest were in. I hit my head hard against the cold floor when i came down before i can hear them running towards me and phoebe was the first to reach me.
"Rori." She screamed as she reach out for my head.
"Sh...shadows." i whispered before darkness claimed me.

"No one is to hear of this. Not until we figure out what happened."
I heard a muffled voice and i slowly opened my eyes. I was back in the room phoebe and i were asighed to.
I groaned as i sat up and phoebe was next to me in an instant. My head was hammering and i flinched when i touched my forhead.
"Rori?" Phoebe called out and i looked at her. She looked like she has aged ten years in the last couple of hours. "What happened?" She asked and i looked over to the other figure standing in the room. It was Noah.
"Alpha Light had to go back to the main pack house. Her family needed her. For now, rest. Miss Rori. Tomorrow is Riekas' birthday. Alpha Light will speak with you immidealty after her daughters' celebration is over. But until then, you are not to say a word of this to anyone." He warned before walking out of our room.
I looked at phoebe as i remembered seeing a shadow right infront of me. It had pushed me off the stairs and because of the iron, i wasn't able to react quickly.
Speaking of iron, some parts of my body and hand was burned from the iron and it hurts like a bitch.
"Are you okay?" Phoebe asked another question that i couldn't answer. So i just shook my head.
"You should wash up and get some rest. If the shadows really followed us all the way here, then we need to be alert." She commented before walking away.
I looked around the room until i spotted my quiver and sighed. For the rest of the night, i cleaned up and as soon as my head rested against my pillow, sleep had taken me.
But rest didn't come without a price. My entire night was filled with those dreams. Those three other figures chained just as i was. Only this time, i can see fire burning on one of the figures. And it's not any fire i have ever seen or felt before, it's a diffrent kind of fire. It was angry flames ready to burst out of that figure.
It is a dream that left me woundering about the message behind it once again.

The next day, i strapped my arrow quiver with the bow still tightly wrapped with thick leather over my shoulder as Alpha Light and Kevins' daughter, Rieka celebrated her second birthday.
Every single person that was in that dounged the previous night had pretended like nothing has happened.
Alpha light stayed by her mates' and daughters' side and celebrated her family but i can tell she is very alert. Not only that, i'm also aware of some wolves with light circles around their right eyes patroling the area and guarding every one from a hidden sight.
Last night has finally woke my lioness. She is not cowering from the pain of learning the cruel rejection of my mate. She is pearked up and ready to fight and protect me if the need arises.
The rage wolf pack worriors were at their seat and i can feel their eyes on me. Phoebe and i were sitting just a table away from them but neither of us paid them any mind. But phoebe was losing her battel.
I caught her once or twice looking over to Brandon and Brandon looking over to her.
"Just go and talk to him."
I commented and she looked at me. She looked so unsure of herself right now. After they asked her to use magic last night, she had been paleing by the sencond. And now i know being unable to go to her mate is paining her aswell.
"I can't." She whispered as she looked down at gwr hands.
"Why not?" I glance over to brandon to see him watching the two off us from behind his hood.
"I abandoned him four years ago. I don't have the right." She commented and i couldn't help but look over to Adalwolf.
He abandoned me four years ago as well. But his rejection is different from phoebes.
Adalwolf turned to look at me and our eyes clashed. He sits up straight and blinks a couple of times.
I hate him. I hate him for what he did to me. But sitting so close to him, watching him, smelling his scent was driving me crazy.
My lioness stirred in my chest and i know she wants him too. That sence of belongingness my lioness always searched in the woods is right there with him. All i have to do is stand up and go to him.
But i held back. My lioness held back. She knows what a rejection means and she is not willing to put my heart through pain just so she could feel the love and peace she desired.
I smiled sadly to myself at the though my lioness was sending to me and i averted my eyes away from him.
"You didn't abandon him, Phoebe." I commented before standing up.
I didn't even make two steps away from my seat when i heard growls erupt through the woods near the field we were celebrating at.
I quickly rushed over to see some of alpha Lights' wolves fighting against rouge wolves. But at closer look, i know with out a doubt that those rouges are not truly wolves. They are creatures hidden in the from of a shifter.
SHADOWS...
