Rori-POV
My heart is tundering in my chest and my Lioness is roaring in my head.
I felt my chest tightn as i looked at him and he looked at me. His eyes who bore a series expresion just seconds ago is now wide as he stared at me.

He doesn't blink or speak a word, he just stares at me as if he is afraid that i'd disappear if he close his eyes.
He looked the same dashingly handsom boy that i remembered. Except, now he looked mature.
"Mate?"
A soft growl came from a man standing next to him. The man wore the hood of his jacket, covering his entire face except for his chin. Everyones' heads snapped to the man next to adalwolf.
Tbe man in question was shaking as he slowly reached out to take his hood of and i immideatly recognized him. It's Brandon Sky. The wolf meant to be the next beta and the boy who was driving the car that crashed and left me scarred four years ago.
Only, it seems the crash has left him scarred more than it did me.

Half of his face was covered with thick scars that runs down to his neck and disappears into his clothe. His left eye has a long strick scar across it and from how cloudy it looked, it is easy to tell that he has lost vision in his left eye.
He looked directly over to my direction as he whispered "mate." again. His right eye turned golden and his left remained cloudy. But he's not looking at me. He is looking behind me.
I turned around as i followed his gaze and saw a very sad Phoebe Alvina.
What the hell?

"Hello, Brandon."
Phoebe calls out with a soft voice and a sad smile. At this point, my mind is racing. If this two are mates, then Phoebe must have known four years ago when she saved us from the shadows.
She took me in but sent him to his home. She chose to care for me instead of her own mate. How hard must it have been for her for the last four years, knowing that she had a sou mate out there whom she might never see again.
"It's you." Brandon whispered loud enough for her to hear. If Brandon had been a little concious after the attack, then he must have picked up her scent, only to loss it for a long time. Phoebe stayed silent as she looked him over.
The second Brandon realized she was looking at his scars, he quickly pulled his hood back up and covered his face. Phoebe had a pained expression as she watched him ready to walk away.
As phoebe was about to say something, people started to come out of the main pack house to greet us.
At the front were a woman and a man holding hands. To there right, walked a young man with a woman in his arms and other worriors stood from behind them.
I know instantly that the woman on the front is non other than Alpha Light Angle and her human mate. They looked so...happy.
As they approached us, a sudden energy pulls me in to Alpha Light. She had an aura i  could barely recognize but it felt familiar.
Alpha Lights' eyes snapped to mine and she stared at me with narrowed eyes before she looked away.
She introduced herself and then her mate, Kevin mint. The young man next to her was the legendary kid who snagged both the second and third in command positions, Noah and the woman stuck to his side as a second skin was his mate.
"Welcome." She and her mate started to greet everyone as they introduced their names and ranks to the alpha.
When it was time for the Rage wolf packs, my Lioness pearks her ears. Apparently, Adalwolf is the alpha now. But he introduced Brandon as his friend and not as his beta. He continued on to introduce his gamma, and i was left shocked when i saw who it was.
His gamma is Jammy Anderson, one of the guys who used me as a punching bag. I looked at him as i tried my best to look indifferent to the fact that i am facing my bullies.
When he recognized me, his eyes, just like Adalwolfs' opened wide and i couldn't help but wait for that evil smirk he always had on his face when he was beating me up.
But, instead he glanced over to Adalwolf and looked down to the ground. A completely unexpected behaviour from my bully.
"And who are your beta and Luna?" Noah, he young man who came out with alpha light asked adalwolf.
"Brandon hasn't accepted the beta possition yet and as for a luna, i haven't found one." Adalwolfs' calm voice suddenly hits me with the harsh truth i have been avoiding for the last four years.
It is now that i realized how hurt i was, how betrayed i felt and how broken i became. It is now that i truly realized all our shared moments were false, it was all nothing but a pity friendship. It was at this very moment that i realized...
I. Hate. Him.
My though made me pause and my lioness went completely silent. I felt her as she slowly retreated to the back of my head and i was left a shell of my old self.
Phoebe patted my shoulder as Alpha light moved on to the Beam academy.
Mr. Beam, the giant stranger from the bus, is actually the head master of the academy and his daighter is a student.
I zoned out at Alpha light exchanged pleasentries with the staff and phoebe nudge my shoulder when it was our turn.
Phoebe bowed her head as she introduced us.
"The name is Phoebe Alvina, Alpha light. And this is my friend, Rori."
As Phoebe introduced us, Alpha Lights' eyes kept coming towards me with a suspicious gaze that made me wounder what the hell she was thinking about.
"It's nice to meet you." Said Alpha light and she reaches her hand out towards me for a shake.
Everyone stopped in their place as i am the first and only person she offered a hand to. I slowly reached out and shook her hand.
Her grip was tight as steel and i made sure to squeez right back. I can tell that she is trying to get a read on me, for some reason.
She lets my hand go and walks way to the other guests.
"What the hell was that about?" I leaned over and whispered to Phoebe only to be met with silence. So, i looked at her over my shoulder and caught her staring at Brandons' bowed figure.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked her and she finally looked at me.
"Tell you what?" She asked and i raised my left brow up at her.
"Seriously, Phoebe. Do not paly dumb with me right now. Why didn't you tell me about Brandon?"
I should have known from the very beginning. Everytime she would talk about the wolf who almost died with me that night four years ago, she'd always have tears in her eyes. She would shake all over and i couldn't help but wounder how i didn't caught on to that.
Phoebe sighed before she looked back over to him. "Let's not talk about this now. Please, i will explain everything later but not now. I'm tired."
With that, Phoebe asked one of the omegas to show her to her room and she walked away from me.
I can feel eyes boring into me and i tried to ignore every single one of them. I tried to walk away but i heard my name being called.
I looked over to the voice and saw Brandon, Adalwolf and Jammy staring at me. I have absolutly no idea which one of them called me but it looked like they were expecting me to say something.
It's now that i remembered one of phoebes' wisdom words.
She had told me that what happens always happens for a reason and what trully matters is how we react to them.
I looked at each and every single on of them. Their voice had caught the attentions of other worriors from rage wolf pack, all of which had played a huge role in making my life miserabel.
They must have thought i was dead. And i have no doubt that they celebrated my decease. I was sure that they had thrusted their drinks high up in the air and howled for finally getting rid of the weak blood.
All these years, i kept myself away from the pack because they contain a dark past i wish not to remember.
I touched the leater strap of the arrow quiver just to remind myself that i am no longer a weak, wolf-less she wolf. I am no longer the small girl they took pleasure in breaking.
I am a god damn Lioness and i'll be damned if i ever let them get to me again.
So i decided to be the bigger person. I turned fully towards them and i bowed my head low. But it's not a sign of respect or submission.
It is a thank you for making me realize that i was able to survive all of you. Thank you for making me realize i am always the bigger person.
As i looked up to meet each and every single one of their eyes, i know with out a doubt that my massage and thanks was heard loud and clear.
With that, i turned around and followed after phoebe.
