Susan refused each time.
She thought I'd threatened Emily again.
I ignored them.

The police teams returned quickly with results.
But the evidence wasn't what Susan expected.
Hearing the suspect was a man who rented the car, Susan sneered at me.
"Using men to do your dirty work—you're trash!"
"Wait till we catch your accomplice!"
I glared back silently.

The suspect's photo showed a scruffy, angry man.
Emily froze in fear.
No one noticed.
They watched the courthouse footage.

No proxies allowed—it showed Emily's face, smiling happily.
She looked willing.
After the video, Susan insisted, "No! Emily said Lily forced her! Play it again—find proof!"
The police replayed it, but Emily's smile only looked more genuine.
Finally, Susan glared at Emily.
"What happened? Was Lily outside the courthouse?"
"Tell me! I'll make them help you!"
An officer added, "The suspect we're chasing is the man she married—it fits if you were kidnapped."
Hearing Mike was being caught, Emily broke down crying.
"I did it myself! I went willingly! I'm sorry—drop the charges!"
But it was too late.
The door opened, and officers brought in a scruffy man.
Mike glared at Emily, eyes full of hate.
"She came willingly—I didn't kidnap anyone..."
"Right, Emily?"
He licked his lips, threatening.
Emily nodded frantically.
Susan roared, "Forced? He's threatening her right here! They're both guilty—jail time!"
Mike frowned impatiently.
"Both? Who else?"
