"I told you not to be fooled by her! She is playing the martry! She must have been rescued by those people!" Ann chased after them.
My father grabbed her, his eyes turning dark. "She jumped into the sea to prove her innocence, and you still won't let her go?"
My brother was furious, dragging Ann to the window. "I remember Isabelle doesn't know how to swim. Such cold seawater, covered in wounds... how much pain would jumping in cause?!"

"You should experience the temperature of this seawater yourself before saying such slanderous things!"
Ann, pressed by my brother, had half her body leaning out the window.
She screamed in terror, "Brother, no!"
"I can't swim!"
My brother stiffened, his face drastically changing. "What did you say?!"
He yanked Ann back inside.

My father was confused beside them. My mother was crying sadly. "Calm down, Alex. We've already lost Isabelle. We can't lose Ann too!"
"They are both your sisters. You can't try to kill one because of the other!"
My brother was enraged. He slapped Ann across the face. "Mom! Dad! She lied to me ten years ago!"
"She says she can't swim. Then who saved me back then?!"

"Tell me! Tell me!"
Ann covered her swollen cheek, biting her lip tightly and saying nothing.
My brother started frantically tearing her clothes off.
"No!"
Ann screamed and resisted, but my brother still ripped her clothes open, revealing her smooth back.
"How could this be?" My brother's eyes lost focus, becoming vacant.
"The doctor clearly said back then that you hit the reefs saving me, and the scars on your back would last a lifetime..."
My parents were shocked. "Alex, didn't you say Ann saved you? What on earth is going on?!"
My brother grabbed his hair in agony. "Ten years ago, Ann and I were playing by the sea. I was surfing when a wave swept me away, choking on a lot of seawater."
"In a daze, I only heard someone shouting 'Brother, hold on!' giving me their life jacket, and dragging me back to shore by force."
"The waves were huge. We had drifted far out. By the time we reached the shore, I was unconscious."
"When I woke up, I was in the hospital. Ann was holding my hand, her eyes red, saying she saved me, hit the reefs, and showed me her bandaged back, soaked with blood..."
As he spoke, his eyes became angry again.
"Speak! Who really saved me back then?! You can't swim. Your back has no scars. You lied!"
A look of guilt flashed in Ann's eyes. She could only prevaricate. "Brother, I really saved you back then. I was holding onto a rescue board! Besides us, there was no one else on the beach that day. Who else could it be but me?"
"The scars on my back... I found a very skilled doctor a few years ago to help restore it, so you can't see them now. Brother, are you denying your debt of gratitude to me now?!"
