Sarah sighed softly, glancing at me with heavy guilt.
"I'm sorry."
"Last time, I killed you, couldn't save you. This time, I thought you wouldn't come, but..."

"I realized my mistake too late."
After my death in the previous life, consumed by guilt and facing public condemnation, Sarah fell into depression and took her own life.
"When I fell, I realized how much it hurt."
"I'm so sorry, Jessica. I was impulsive, hotheaded, but I never meant to kill you..."
She'd reborn too, but too late. She regained consciousness only after being drugged and abducted. Confronted with this situation, she finally understood that I had been trying to protect her in our past life.
Since my actions differed, she realized I'd reborn. When the traffickers forced her to lure me, she left clues.

She believed that with my memories of the past life and my wits, I would keep myself safe and surely notice her hints.
"Yet you still came..."
Sarah looked at me, desolate." I still doomed you. Nothing's changed."
Tears streamed down her face, making her already haggard appearance even more pronounced. She looked far worse than in the video.

Her injuries weren't just on her chin—bruises and welts covered her, her thick jacket torn by whips, cotton spilling out.
"I'm sorry, so sorry…"
Her tears hit my hand, her lips trembling as she sobbed.
My emotions churned.
"Shh, don't cry."
As the students woke, I signaled for silence.
"When there's a signal, run with me."
Sarah wiped her tears."What?"
"Dumbass, knowing the danger, would I let myself die for nothing?"
I tugged at my shoe sole, pulling out a sharp metal strip I'd hidden.
I cut my ropes, passing the strip to free others.
College students are the easiest to trick but also the most cooperative. Even escaping, they lined up orderly to cut ropes.
I almost laughed. Sarah huffed," We're in serious trouble, and you're laughing?"
"Finding joy in misery."
I shot back.
Soon, noise came from outside.
Bang. The signal gunshot I'd arranged.
