So Ethan told himself time and time again that if he persisted a little longer,he would get closer to Haley.
When the head teacher informed Ethan that he needed to change seats and be deskmates with Haley,Ethan was so happy that he felt like he could fly.
But after becoming deskmates with Haley,Ethan found that his plan to get closer to Haley had an insurmountable obstacle.
Haley had no interest in anything other than studying at all.

After the new semester started,Ethan found out Haley's major from his high school classmates.
Several times Ethan"encountered"Haley in front of the teaching building where Haley had classes,but he didn't go up to say hello.
He watched Haley's gentleness as she talked to her roommate in the crowd,and thought of those messages that received no response during the summer vacation.He hesitated in his heart again and again.
Did Haley know that I like her?
Is that why she deliberately didn't reply to my messages?

Ethan refused,but was begged by Alex to agree.
"Just add her and then reject her directly.Then I'll go after her."
Looking at Alex's pitiful appearance,Ethan reluctantly agreed.After adding Lily as a friend,he straightforwardly rejected her.
