The livestream went viral.
“The mistress is confessing!Fire away,sisters!”
“We were wrong about Sarah!”

“Is she confessing to take her punishment?”
As curses flew,Melissa gave a tragic smile.
“I swear,I didn’t know he had a family! No woman wants to be a hated mistress.James Carter tricked me!”
“I was young, swayed by his words, devoted to him.I gave up college to have his child.Fifteen years together, and now I’m told I’m the other woman.”
“I didn’t mean to ruin another woman’s life.”
Her sobbing won sympathy.

The comments shifted:
“She got played!”
“Fifteen years,a kid,and then betrayed? She’s the real victim here.”
“She’s the real wife.Sarah can’t have kids—James doesn’t love her.Melissa’s family is real.”

“James should divorce Sarah for a happy family.”
Melissa’s lips twitched upward.
“If James divorces,I’ll forgive his lies! And I’ll compensate Sarah as well!”
“Sarah,as a teacher, you don’t want my daughter labeled a bastard, right?Give her dad back to us.”
She ended the livestream,eyes pleading.
“James,Chloe and I are waiting at home. Please come back.”
I had to admit, Melissa's move was pretty clever.
She'd managed to turn the tables, shifting from the villainous mistress to the wronged victim.
And in the process, she'd solidified James’s guilt—hiding his marriage,seducing a student.
James became infamous.
A“Has James Carter Divorced Yet?”account started tracking him daily.
Up for promotion,he couldn’t let this fester.
He posted a long explanation online.
He claimed Melissa got pregnant from a one-night stand.
Out of pity,he helped her and her child, but her mental instability led to stalking and now family sabotage.
Melissa lost it.
This was my moment.
James returned home exhausted from handling her chaos.
As he rubbed his temples,I slid the divorce agreement across.
“I’ve told you,I have nothing to do with her.Chloe’s not mine. Why are you pushing for a divorce?”
“I’m swamped.Can you stop?”
“James,stop acting.You manipulated Melissa,but I’m not her.”
I showed him a paternity test proving Chloe was his.
I’d persuaded Chloe to do it after her first accusation.
By denying her online,James had only dug himself a deeper grave.
“You can refuse to sign. But these documents might end up with Melissa—or the ethics board.”
He glared,weighing his options,then signed.
He agreed to leave with nothing, taking the paternity test results with him.
