From their chatter,the Harpers pieced it all together.
Mr.Harper glared at me.
“Tyler’s Jessica’s fiancé.How could you ruin your sister’s relationship?"
I was so angry that I laughed, all these was just ridiculous.
This was the family claiming to make up for abandoning me, and how did they do it? By blindly trusting Jessica without even asking me what happened.
I took the USB from the driver.
“Here’s what happened.Shut your mouths until you’ve watch.”

Mr.Harper frowned,impatient.
“All this fuss at the police station over a trifle?Sophia,aren’t you overreacting?”
Mrs.Harper’s face darkened.
“Sophia,where did all this jewelry come from?”
Before I could answer,my foster mom burst in,shielding me behind her.
“You dare ask about the jewelry?I bought them as Sophia’s dowry.Your precious daughter smashed it all.How will the Harpers compensate?”
My foster dad roared.
“Bullying my daughter and still want to get a deal with the Bennetts?You wish.All deals are off.”
Mr.Harper gasped.
“Sophia,your adoptive parents are the Mr and Mrs Bennett?”
“Didn’t you say you grew up in the countryside with farmers?”
I sneered.
“If you’d known I was a Bennett,would I have seen your true faces?I planned to tell you soon,but you gave me this lovely surprise.”
Mr.Harper wiping the cold sweat off his forehead,tried to shake my foster dad’s hand.
“Just kids messing around.A misunderstanding.”
My adoptive father ignored him.
“Kids messing around?Why’s only my daughter hurt?You just targeted her.”
“For Sophia’s sake,I was going to help your family.Now I see you don’t cherish her at all,letting her be attacked like this.”
Mrs.Harper jumped in.
“Oh,it’s all a misunderstanding.We absolutely adore Sophia.How could we let her get hurt?Jessica was just naive.”
As she said all that, she pushed the teary Jessica toward me.
“Jessica,apologize to Sophia, now.”
I shook my head,smiling.
“Apologies won’t fix this.I called the police for a reason.The jewelry’s worth nearly$9 million,plus Mom’s jade pendant was ruined.The salesperson’s hospitalized—medical bills,lost wages,and emotional damages.You’ll pay for all these.”
“My assistant will send the bill to Mr.Harper.”
