The salesperson behind me only realized what happed, she dropped her bags to help me but was shoved aside.
They mocked her.
“You think she’s your sugar mama? The money she spends belongs to our Jessica. No matter how mach cash you got from her, you’ll have to cough up.Why help her?”
The salesperson, seeing their intent to make a scene, didn’t bother to argue and reached for her earpiece to call security.
Jessica, quick, yanked it out and crushed it with her foot.
“Calling for backup?Nice try.”
People just passing by all stopped, theyglaring at me with disdain.
“She looks so innocent ,who would’ve thought she did such shameful things.”
“Must be the Harper’s newly found second daughter.Probably some dirty tricks when she was out there with god knows who.”
I swallowed my anger and stood up,frowning at Jessica.
“Jessica,I don’t know your fiancé at all,and I never said I’d kick you out.Did you make a mistake?”
“I suggest you call him and clear this up.”
After all we were still sisters now, even if not blood-related,I didn’t want to make things worse.
I thought she’d verify with her fiancé.
Instead, she grabbed my hair and slapped me.
“Sophia Bennett, think I don’t know Tyler’s protecting you?I saw you sending him nude photos at midnight. Now you’re playing innocent?”
“You shameless slut. When Mom and Dad brought you back,I should’ve stopped them!”
“You’re not just stealing my parents—you want my fiancé too!”
Hearing Tyler’s name,I was absolutely loss.I didn’t know him at all.
I stared at her with a cold expression on my face, and my voice was stern.
“Are you sure I’m the one who sent those photos?”
“If not you,who else? You’ve been back a week—how did you hook up with him so fast?So desperate for a man that you’d steal mine?”
She spotted the jade pendant on my chest and reached to grab it.
‘Where did you get money for such a nice pendant?Did you ask Tyler for it?What Mom and Dad gave you wasn’t enough?”
I dodged,protecting it.
It was a gift from my foster mom for my eighteenth birthday, it was especially blessed at a temple for my safety. It meant the world to me.
Her friends, seeing us struggle together, shoved phones into my face and egged her on.
“How could the Harpers have such a vile daughter? She’s probably a fraud. She nothing compared with our Jessica, the real heiress!”
“Look at the face of that whore.Bet she’s always luring men!”
They fanned the flames.
The comments went wild again, insults were flying everywhere.
But I caught two words clearly:”real heiress.”
I sneered.
“Jessica, don’t your sidekicks know your real identity?”
A flicker of guilt flashed crossed her eyes. She turned around, grabbed the salesperson’s shopping bag,and tore it open, tossing all the boxes inside onto the floor.
“My real identity?I’m the Harper family’s eldest daughter!”
The million-dollar jewelry lay scattered on the ground like trash.
I took a deep breath,warning her.
“These are custom pieces that worth millions. The Harpers might not have the molney at the moment to cover this.”
I knew the Harpers’business wasn’t going well recently, and were facing bankruptcy.Their assets were mortgaged.TThey had kept it from Jessica because they didn’t want her to worry.
Jessica sneered, she opened a box, pulled out a necklace full of diamond and smashed it.
“Sophia, the Seattle Harpers can’t afford this pittance?”
“Millions?I don’t even blink.”
