It was a fact that Emily wanted to harm us. I didn't have the heart to tell my parents the truth just because I didn't want to break their hearts.
Emily's heartlessness was clearly there, and they would eventually be disappointed of it.
Rather than letting them know it latter and making them feel sorry for Emily and worry about her, it would be better show them Emily's true color as soon as possible.
Hearing my words, my mother's face was full of shock and disbelief.
"Emily is a bit willful, but she wouldn't go as far as..."
But my father's silence spoke volumes. It was obvious that he had the same opinion as my mother.
It was normal for them not to believe me when I suddenly told them those unexpected things.
If I hadn't been reborn and knew that Emily was a troublemaker, I definitely wouldn't have believed it either, and I might even have been irritated.
I didn't argued with them but just presented the evidence. "Emily's biological parents'home isn't far from ours. It's on the street where we usually buy groceries. She goes there on time every Saturday."
"Emily should have told them all about our family's financial situation because her brother suddenly went to look at a house with a down payment of 800,000 dollars some time ago."
"Their family has not worked for a long time and can't even afford new clothes, but they suddenly plan to buy a house for their son to get married. They're probably just counting on our family."
As I spoke,I smiled sarcastically.
I only discovered these things after I died in the last life and witnessed Emily's action.
Emily was really a person whose heart couldn't be warmed. Or maybe she never recognised herself as a true member of our family.
Her biological parents' whole family were selfish people, and she couldn't avoid inheriting this kind of nature.
After I finished speaking, the whole living room fell silent.
My parents' faces were very solemn. As their child, I was usually quite steady in my character, so they would consider my words.
But precisely because they believed me,they found it especially hard to accept this fact.
"We've raised her for so long. We've been taking care of her since she was abandoned. How could this happen?"
My father didn't say anything. After my mother finished speaking, he immediately took out his phone and asked a friend who lived on that street to check out my information.
After confirming that my words were indeed true, his face looked a bit dejected.
I couldn't stand seeing their expression and suggested, "Mom, Dad, trust me, just leave this matter to me. Let me handle it."
At first, they didn't respond. After a while, my father suddenly shook his head and said in a hoarse voice, "No, this is a matter for our whole family. We can't let you bear it alone."
"Yes,even though we can't accept it,those who do something wrong have to pay the price after all.Emily doesn't have a fate with our family.Let's find a chance to send her back to her biological parents."
My mother continued after my father, still looking heartbroken but with a firm voice.
Seeing that they had made up their minds,I didn't try to stop them anymore.
After Emily left, the reprieve lasted exactly seven days before Jack showed up at our door again.
He looked like hell warmed over and had a cigarette in his mouth.
I asked him,"You seem to be in a hurry. Is there something urgent?"
He stared at me intently, with a fierce look in his eyes.
"Were you really sincere when you said you agreed to us being together that day?"
I was a bit confused and looked puzzled:"Of course I was sincere.Jack, didn't you have a fight with Emily?"
He stared at me in silence for quite a while.
"Judging by your appearance, you don't get along well? No, I'll call her right away and give her a good talking-to!"
I took out my phone angrily and pretended to make a call.
But Jack quickly stopped me. Then, he stared at my phone and suddenly said,
