Ethan’s eyes blazed red and he lost his mind. He attacked Chloe, kicking and punching as she begged for mercy, with no ability to fight back. And all of this was captured by the media’s cameras.
Ethan finally came to his senses and searched frantically for me like a madman.
“Abigail, let me explain! It’s not what you think! She tricked me! I love you, only you!”

I rolled my eyes and switched off the monitor.
What a fake display of affection.
This time, I cancelled all the cards that I had given him, and the house was also sold.
I heard that the buyer was a rich playboy, had his security thrash Ethan’s family when they caused a scene, tossing them out. When they took it to the police, they were fined for trespassing.
Ethan started ambushing me at my company.
After the wedding fiasco tanked his reputation,he was fired from his$3,000-a-month job. With no income, his family wanted me back.

“Abigail,I was wrong.I shouldn’t have been soft on Chloe. She lied about being terminally ill.Believe me,besides that kiss at the venue,we never did anything worse!”
I shook off his hand, annoyed.”Security! How do strays keep getting in?”
Ethan didn’t give up,groveling like he hadn’t in years.
“Abigail,I swear I’ll never do it again.I’ve cut Chloe off.No one will bother us anymore! You love me so much, you wouldn’t leave me,right? You’re just saying angry words!”

I watched coldly as security dragged him away, his stumbling figure shouting back, drawing stares from passersby.
To avoid meeting himI asked the driver to park the car at the entrance every day, but Ethan somehow got a company pass, sneaking in disguised as an employee.
One day he brought me breakfast, the next an umbrella, fawning like when he first pursued me.
“Abigail,I know you’re mad I didn’t care enough.Let’s go back to how it was,okay?”
See?He knew how to treat me right—he just didn’t want to.
“Ethan, if you keep sneaking into my company, I’ll call the police.”
He grinned,placating.”What?We’re a couple.How’s that harassment?”
I looked at him impassively.
“Ethan,you know what I mean.We’re over.”
His smile frozen.
He finally showed that pleading look again.
“Abigail,I messed up.I’ve cut ties with Chloe.If you don’t believe me,I’ll call her now…”
I cut him off coldly and walked away.
I thought he would stop bothering me, but days later, an online smear campaign erupted.
Ethan looked aggrieved and harshly criticized me for being fickle, promiscuous, and for putting one green hat after another on him. He portrayed himself as an honest man who had endured a lot of humiliation, and that he had tolerated it all because of his love for me.
“A woman like Abigail, from that background, can’t be pure. She has kept several gigolos. I was fooled by her innocent act.”
His performance was so convincing, some bought it.
