It was getting dark.
There was no sound around.
Maybe because I had been sitting on the sofa for too long after dinner,I felt colder and colder all over.
I got up and turned on all the lights in the house,making the living room as bright as day.
Suddenly,it was pitch black in front of me.
I was plunged into an unfathomable darkness.
I told myself to stay calm.It must be a power outage.
I took out my phone to call Mike,but my fingers were trembling a bit.
I'm not afraid.It must be because it's too cold.

As soon as the phone was connected,Mike asked eagerly,"What's wrong?What happened?"
I took a few deep breaths and tried to speak in a calm voice,"It's okay.There was a sudden power outage.I don't know if the circuit breaker tripped.Where is the main switch?"
Mike said,"The main switch box is on the left side outside the living room door."
After hanging up the phone,I turned on the flashlight on my phone and,by the faint light,groped my way step by step towards the door.
When I reached the door and just touched the doorknob,about to open the door to check the situation of the main switch,I suddenly heard a woman's voice outside say softly,"Is anyone at home?"
