It was a summer.At that time,I wasn't going well at my job,so I changed to a new one.It was my first time working the night shift at a funeral parlor.
Looking at the empty coffin in the mourning hall,my back was instantly soaked with cold sweat,because I remembered clearly that there should be a corpse in this coffin.

Today is my first day working the night shift at this funeral parlor.Compared with the wages for working outside,the pay here is much,much higher.
However,precisely because of the high salary of this job,I cherish it even more.
The funeral parlor is a place where few people come in general,and what's more,ours is the most remote one at the foot of the mountain,the West Hill Funeral Parlor.
There are no residents within a radius of ten miles,let alone thieves.
And besides,is there anything worth stealing in our funeral parlor?
I'm the only one responsible for the night shift.I'm sitting on a chair,and there is a coffin in the mourning hall where I am.There is a corpse that was just brought in today.

The corpse is that of a girl.Judging by her appearance,she is only eighteen or nineteen years old.She was in the prime of her life but died of a sudden heart attack,which is really a pity.

A cat's meow suddenly came from the window not far away.I looked in the direction of the sound and found a black cat lying by the window,licking its paws.
The old-timers in the funeral parlor told me that when a black cat comes into contact with a corpse,there is a high chance of the corpse coming back to life.

Although I scoff at such superstitions,it's better to believe it than not.
Moreover,if this black cat comes in and scratches the corpse a few times,I might lose my job at the funeral parlor.
With this in mind,I got up and planned to drive the black cat away.But who would have thought that at this moment,the black cat actually jumped into the room through the window.Looking frightened,it started running around the mourning hall.
This scene really worried me,and I hurriedly went to catch the cat.
Now,when I think back to that time,I should have calmed down.When a cat is scared and chased by me,wouldn't it run even faster?

I made a dive but missed,and at this moment,the black cat came to the side of the coffin.
The corpse that hasn't been buried yet can't have the coffin lid closed,so now,as long as the black cat takes one step to the side,my high-paying job will be gone.
Seeing this scene,I was completely panicked.I looked around,and there was no food or thing that could lure the cat.Now I can only hope that the cat will get down from the side of the coffin.
However,as it turns out,the more you fear something,the more likely it is to happen.
Suddenly,the black cat turned around and jumped into the coffin.I was so frightened that my face turned pale.I came to the side of the coffin.
At this moment,the cat was lying next to the corpse and didn't make any attacking moves,which made me heave a sigh of relief.
“Mimi,come out.Come out,and I'll give you something delicious.”
I started to coax the cat with words,but the black cat ignored me.It even lay down next to the corpse in the coffin and fell asleep with soft snores.
It was only at this moment that I noticed the appearance of the corpse.Indeed,this was a very young girl,and her looks were definitely that of a beauty.It's just a pity that she is a dead person.
I couldn't help but feel sorry for her in my heart.And just at this moment,the fingers of this corpse actually twitched slightly.
