Chapter 9

The hallway fell dead silent.

I swung the camera toward the voice.

There stood Grandma Helen, leaning on Emma's arm, making her way through the crowd—frail but fierce with determination.

She must have rushed over the moment Emma called her.

Grandma didn't even glance my way,

but marched straight up to my parents,

and with thousands watching live,

slapped my mother hard across the face!

"Mom!" Mother gasped, stunned.

"Don't you dare call me Mom! I have no daughter this despicable!"

Grandma's finger shook as she pointed at my parents' faces. Her voice broke with emotion, but every word carried crystal clear through the livestream:

"You changed Michael's Harvard application behind everyone's backs. You lied to my face when I asked why he wasn't accepted. Then you treated him like your personal ATM to fund Jason's luxury education. And now you're here to destroy him completely?"

She turned to face the camera, tears streaming down her weathered cheeks:

"To everyone watching this—I am this woman's mother and Michael's grandmother! I'm here to tell the truth, no matter how it makes our family look!"

"This spectacle isn't about a son neglecting his parents! It's about them trying to extort $300,000 from my grandson to buy a house for their golden child! They're parasites who've been bleeding Michael dry for years to spoil that entitled brat!"

Grandma Helen's testimony hit like a lightning strike, instantly changing the entire narrative.

A respected elder,

a mother herself,

publicly condemning her own daughter and son-in-law—

her words carried undeniable weight.

"Michael!" She turned to me, eyes brimming with tears but voice steady as steel. "You've done nothing wrong! I was blind before, always preaching family harmony at any cost. I let you suffer for too long! From now on, I stand with you. If they don't want you in their family, you still have me!"

She gripped my hand fiercely in hers.

The comment section erupted in a frenzy.

"Even their own mother is calling them out!"

"Grandma is a QUEEN! #TeamGrandma"

"Everyone who trashed this guy needs to apologize RIGHT NOW!"

Every accusation against me

crumbled under Grandma's righteous fury.

The tide had turned completely.
