Chapter 48 THE REALITY: HANNAH IS AWAKE!

Hannah heard her mother's voice as well as his father's voice calling nurses and doctor. She opened her eyes, she saw lights, white painted walls. She looked around, she saw dextrose container hanging on a metal, she saw how the dextrose drops flow in the hose connected to her. She can't see things clearly, all she knows is, the doctor and nurses came to assist to check her condition but still confused. The doctor goes near her and checked her eyes using a device. She rolled her eyes and saw her mom and dad are not comfortable, they walk forward and suddenly turn back repeatedly. Her dad's hands were at his waist while her mom's hands covering her face.
The doctor and nurses are around her, there's checking her pulse, arranging the dextrose hose, monitoring her pulse and heart beat looking at the device. She was so confused what's happening, there are questions on her mind like, "Where are my friends? Adam? Where is he? Is he alive too? What happened to my friends? Are they alive? Are they safe? Who brought me in the hospital?"
After an hour, her mom and dad sat beside her and held her hand. "Thank God honey, you're awake now. You don't know how happy we are," her mom said while crying. Her dad lends his arm to his wife's shoulder and kissed her on her forehead. "She's back darling, don't worry. Our daughter is back."
"We can see her smile again, we can hear her sweet voice again, she can taste her favorite food again, she can join us again in our house." Her parents are crying but because of tears of joy. "Your mom and I were glad that you are awake lady," her dad said in a sweet and a longing for his daughter for how many years.
"You don't know honey how happy I am, I took care of you 9 months in my womb. When you came out, you bring a lot of happiness to your dad and I. The moment you called "Mom" "Dad" really hooked our hearts. The moment you walk and speak, it really fulfilled us as your parents until you grew up," her mom can't stop crying while saying those words. "Your dad and I were so afraid to lose you honey, that's why we did everything to support your needs here in the hospital," her mom added.
"Your mom and I worked very hard. I am a prosecutor and you knew it since then, I am working in daytime, during the time I'm working, your mom is here to take care of you and accompany you. In night time, your mom is in her duty as a surgeon and with that time, I was in the hospital to take care of you and look for you," her dad explained. "But every Sunday we are both here, luckily, you are awakened during our day off from work." Harold said happily.
"What do you mean dad? Mom?" She looked at her parents but her parents said, "Don't say or ask anything honey, you need more rest, they smiled at her. Her mom and dad slept with her.
"Today is Monday honey, good morning!" Her mom and dad greeted her.
"Good morning mom, dad! I'm feeling better now. Dad? You have work this morning, right?" She asked.
"I'm on leave honey, and same as your mom. We are on leave to take care of you. We missed you so much honey." They hugged their daughter. "We have fruits for you, you should eat a lot of fruits to gain strength," her dad said.
"Hey darling, just put it there, I'll be the one to prepare it for our daughter," her mom gets the fruits and prepare it while her dad talked to her.
"Hey honey, I'm glad you're awake! You stayed here for how many years. Even if some doctors saying that we have to give up on you, but we didn't. Even if our relatives gave us an advice to let you go, her dad held her hand and kissed it. Now, you are back!" He fixed her daughter's hair and held her face.
"Dad, I still don't understand what's happening. I'm with my friends for a long time. Where are they dad? Did they come here to visit me?" Hannah asked her parents consecutively.
"Honey, you met an accident. Five years passed that you're lying on your bed here in the hospital. What are you talking about that you're with your friends for a long time?" Harold asked her daughter with a confused reaction.
"I'm with them dad, we had experienced different situations together. Did they come to visit me here in the hospital?" She asked again.
Harold and Innah looked at each other knowing that Hannah is comatose for 5 years so she can't be with her friends.
"Dad? Mom? Did they visit me?" She asked her parents for the third time.
"Honey, are you pertaining with Adam, Terrence, Dave, Vhiann, Kiarra and Kesiah?" Her mom asked her.
"If you are talking about them..." her mom suddenly stops.
"What mom? Why did you stop? Is there anything bad happened to my friends? How about Adam? Where is he? Did he visit me here in the hospital?" She asked again in a confused manner.
Harold and Innah looked at each other again. Their daughter missed everything; she didn't know what happened to her friends while she's lying on her bed for 5 years.
"Ohhhh! Our poor daugther," they bowed their head sadly.
"Hey mom! Dad! Why are you acting so weird? I'm asking you about my friends, please for the last time I will ask you, did they visit me here in the hospital? How frequent?" She forced herself to get up.
"Honey, you are not yet in good condition right now so please I'm begging you take a rest," her dad said seeing her daughter suffering.
Hannah takes off all the things in her, the dextrose and everything applied to her and get up on her bed. "Why don't you tell me what happened? Is that so hard to tell me how frequent did my friends visited me?" She cried.
"Honey! Please calm down, we'll tell you, okay? Please calm down! Go back to your bed," Innah pleased her daughter.
At first Hannah is not listening to her mom, she ruined everything in her room until it messed up. But her mom and dad hugged her and she slowly calms herself.
Hannah went back to her bed and she totally calmed down as her mom and dad pleased her to come back.
