He then chuckled.
Oh please remind me what was funny again.
Nothing.
"That is different you know it!" He said looking at me anger swirling in his orbs making me invisibly swallow.
Oh great.
We were both angry now.
"Oh yeah please elaborate because I am failing to understand you" I said throwing my hands in the air at his pathetic attempt to defend himself in which resulted to him narrowing his eyes at me with a daring look.
"You could have been harmed and for goodness sake this is my fucking house you are living in! I should be the first know when someone unexpected is inside it and specifically by you not someone else" he said sternly.
Using the voice he used the first few days I stayed working for making my breath hitch.
Why did I feel so emotional allover sudden.
What got into him and why the hell was he talking to me like that.
Shaking my head at the words be said I turned on my heel to go back to my basket.
He was right. This was his house afterall and no matter what this was not my house I had felt too comfortable to the point of where it slipped out of my mind.
"You are right this is your house and I'm moving out in a week" I stated with my back to him then finally closed the door leaving the tension that had occupied the room.
I could feel my lip quiver as I replayed the tone that he used on me.
How dare he.
How the fuck could he dare to try and talk to me like that.
Dropping the basket in my room I sighed closing my eyes and they snapped open when I heard my phone vibrate on the bed.
"Hello?" I answered the phone trying to sound as if I was not about to cry and my voice disappointed me big time.
"You sound horrible." Ajax said on the other end with a joking light voice chuckling to himself on the other end and that made me chuckle too.
"Thanks for the concern damn it" I responded my voice getting lighter and a smile plastered on my face.
"How about you get out of the house we meet at the park and then get you some pizza how does that sound?" He asked me and when I was about to decline due to how Amala had told me that hanging and being around Ajax was not a good idea my stomach rumbled and my brain screamed fuck it.
"Send me the coordinates I'll be there in less than an hour and you better bring a bottle vodka with you" I said and he laughed reminding me how much I used to prefer getting wasted on vodka while everyone sipped some whiskey like the bougie ass college kids they were.
Agreeing on a location after he suggested two parks we decided to meet in thirty and due to the tension that laid in this house I was more than eager to leave this place and see a new and refreshing face.
Thirty minute later I was contemplating between taking the ranger rover or just rolling with my jeep and when I remembered that I might not hear from Josiah for two more days I decided to go with his range rover.
Because why not.
I ended up reaching to our location one hour later which made me twenty minutes late and I could easily spot Ajax's beautiful Honda at the open space that he parked at.
I got out of the car so that I could gladly greet him and when out greetings were done we stayed at the place for a few more minutes just talking because the view just looked amazing.
It was not a park but it was a green place that looked up to some of the city's building.
My stomach rumbled again catching both of our attention and we laughed it off when he noticed my embarrassed face.
After that we went on our way to get the pizza and we talked the whole ride through the bluetooth speaker I had on and when we were talking he told me that he could still guess my favourite beer and favourite pizza when I told him that they never changed.
They were still the same and I was still a strong ass advocate of the statement that 'pineapples belong on pizzas' no where else.
They were meant to be together.
He made fun of that because if I remembered correctly this man was not a fan of pizza and now that someone added fruits on them he said that he was disgusted by it.
His words not mine.
After we waited and got our pizzas he told me to follow him to a liquor store so that he could go grab a few bottles and when he was done the man did not even think of hidding the fact that he had two bottles of Hennessy in his hand and another of Bacardi in his other hand.
Goodness.
Goodies.
I did not come out of my car when he went and came out of the liquor store but when he entered back in his car and switched on the bluetooth so that we could talk again I did not hesitate to bring him to the spot.
"You did not even bother to hide them. Come on why the hell would you give the cashier back the paper bags?" I asked as I started my car and I could hear him snicker.
His answer was that we were drinkers and we shouldn't be ashamed of that.
Shaking my hear I murmured men.
In which he replied with hell yeah.
He did mention that he needed to restock on his beer and since we were quiet a distance away from the liquor store he said that we would just have to stick to drinking Bacardi with pizza.
