Chapter 67

The high volume that suddenly blasted in the living room made my poor ears ring and I cringed my face in pain.

She said a small oh and gave me a guilty smile then reduced the volume of the television then kept the t.v remote down.

"Its still eight in the morning what do you mean?" I said going to open the fridge which was now full. Thanks to Goret the househelp who usually kept me company in this soul sucking house.

I am exaggerating.

"I got here an hour ago" she said narrowing her eyes at me and I rolled mine.

Laila Ivanov was Josiah's younger half sibling. Her mother was a Thailand beauty which explained the stricking features of her daughter.

All the people in this family were extremely beautiful and handsome that it was almost making me feel insecure but then it wasnt.

My mother taught me better than that.

"Josiah said that you dont have clothes" she said bluntly examining the shirt I had on and I almost answered her with 'no shit sherlock' but I restrained myself from saying that so I just nodded.

"Are you also here to tell me how my fashion sucks just like Jaxon?" I asked eyeing her but she chuckled.

I proceeded to pour myself a glass of milk.

Jaxon came by a couple of days ago with an excuse of checking if we were still alive and not killing each other.

When he saw me in some oversized shirt and rolled pants he almost rolled on the floor laughing because according to him I looked horrible.

I did not disagree but he really did not have to laugh. Anyways long story short I did not think that he came to check if we were still alive he just wanted to make sure I wasnt pregnant.

Probably.

"Jaxon is an asshole so no. I actually came to take you for shopping.

Jonathan is dropping Amala in a few then we can leave" she said looking at her phone probably for a message. Dont even ask me how she took it again.

Nodding my head I gulped down the glass of milk then wiped my lip with the back of the shirt I had.

Purposely may I add.

Josiah was starting to get on my nerves so that's why I did it.

Evil? Yes! Definetly.

One of the things that you should ask the daughter of a millionaire when they are taking you for shopping is 'who is going to pay' because these people shop as if there is no tomorrow and the shops they go into do not match and I repeat do not match your budget and one pair of heel might cost half of your salary.

"We have been here for an hour and the only thing you have bought is lipstick" Laila said looking at me and I rose a brow.

"I can not afford shopping in these stores Laila" I whisper yelled not wanting any of the staffs to hear me so that I would save the embarrassment Laila and Amala of watching me being kicked out.

Yes that.

"Who said you are paying? Josiah specifically said to use his card for whatever you would want to buy" she said waving a credit card infront of me and my eyes bulged out.

"Why the hell didn't you tell me that?" I asked and Amala chuckled.

"You never asked" she said shrugging her shoulders and I restrained the need to strangle her.

She then pushed me away to go try on clothes in this store that looked like it was built on a budge of one year rent of my previous apartment.

The disappointment in Amala's face when I came back with not even more than ten clothes almost made me chuckle.

When Laila looked at me she threw her head back groaning.

"You are not paying. Come on enjoy the opportunity" she said looking at me with an annoyed face.

"Well these are the ones I like. I cant buy the whole store come on we have more stores to try" I said rolling my eyes as they followed me at the cashier.

The funny thing was that these women were forcing me to buy clothes from this store and the only thing they bought was socks!

"You guys can't be serious" I said looking at the pink pair of socks.

So what if they were puma.

They both shrugged their shoulders then laughed.

Shaking my head I waited for my clothes to finish being packed then we walked out of the store.

We tried like a dozen more stores then went go get lunch in a restaurant I did not know.

After that my whining stopped because whenever I was hungry my mood swings would kick in and whoever would be next to me would have it worse.

"So what now?" I asked looking at the two women who were busy muching on fries.

Before they could answer me an enthusiastic looking woman approached us with the biggest smile ever.

Something did not sit right with the whole scene honestly but I kept quiet.

"Laila Ivanov?" She asked and Laila rose her head nodding in agreement starting that yes it was indeed her.

The woman's smile enlarged as if it was even possible and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Can I please have a picture and ortograph. I really love your work and my friends will really get jealous when they see that I met you before them" she said in an excited manner.

Laila being the kind human being she was agreed and the lady handed me the phone to take the picture since I was the one across them and when I was done our eyes met for a moment before a smile registed itself on my face too.

I did not want to come off as the angry friend over here.

I mean despite my guts telling me that there was seriously something wrong with the lady.
