My phone rang and I pulled it out my back pocket. The boys stopped and turned around to face me as we stood on the steps to the club.
"Caio?" I answered
"You have one hour to hand over five million dollars or the girl dies." a voice hissed a threat and I instantly recognized it
"Cardinal." I hissed through gritted teeth "Why would I give you five million?"
"I have Royalty in her bathroom and I'll drown her. If you call Damanico she dies and if you don't give me the money she dies also. Your choice."
"Don't you dare kill her!"
"Then hand over the money."
I looked up at my brother who looked at me in concern and confusion.
"Two hours."
"Fine. Hold you phone on you. I'll text you the location."
The call ended and I slammed my hand down on the railing. The others jumped.
"What's wrong?" Geo asked me "What did Cardinal want?"
"He's got Royalty." I answered feeling anger possess me "If we don't hand over five million in two hours he's going to drown her in her bathroom."
"I'm calling Da-" Jianan took out his phone
"Don't you dare!" I growled at him fiercely "He'll kill her if Damanico get involved. This time I have no choice. I want her safe."
I brushed past them and into the club to the underground rooms. I knew what I was going to do. I knew that I was going to put myself at risk with the law if I made one mistake but I wanted Reign safe.
"What are you going to do?" Cristiano asked me as I walked down the staircase to find Felix.
"Something the mafia is quite famous for." I answered with a wicked grin.
I slapped open Felix's door and he looked at me annoyed.
"That's why there's a door to knock." he rolled his eyes
"No time." I cut him off
"Why not?" he sensed the tension and urgency
"I've got two hours to forge five million dollars and I want the whole mafia on it."
"Why the sudden rush?"
"Cardinal has Royalty and he's going to kill her if we don't move fast."
"On it."
Fellix pulled out his phone and got up from the chair he was in. I didn't care who he was calling, I just needed that Five million fast.
"Felix I'm leaving you in charge of getting paper." I gave orders "Geo make sure this stays undercover and Damanico doesn't find out, Jianan and Alex you two will count and make sure we've got exactly five and Chrissy you'll help me get the cops on Cardinal's trail again. My guess is that he'll flee the country ass soon as he gets the money."
"Where'll he go?" Chrissy turned to Alex
Alex thought for a while.
"Greece." he answered "I'll find the next flight there in about two hours and we'll cut him off there."
"Deal." I nodded "Let's go."
A little girl cuddled the precious book in her tiny hand as she crossed the street with her mother. Her short black hair blew in the breeze and her eyes shone with joy. A big smile plastered her pretty face as she looked up at her mother.
"Can we go watch Cinderella tonight mama?" she asked
"Yes we can sweetie." her mother replied "Let's get the groceries first then we'll go home and make popcorn."
The little six-year old laughed and followed her mother to the supermarket.
"Tell me what you did today at school." her mother asked taking a shopping cart
"I drew pictures of Cinderella and I read Cinderella and Rapunzel." she happily told her mother as they strolled along "I accidentally colored Rapunzel's hair brown when it should be gold but she still looks pretty."
Her mother chuckled as she placed a few items in the cart.
"You like Cinderella and Rapunzel?" her mother asked
"Yes mama." the little girl skipped beside her mother "I want to be both of them when I grow up. I want to be taken away by my prince, be trapped in a scary place, captured by an evil person and be saved by my prince and we'll live happily ever after like Cinderella."
"One day you will hunny." her mother smiled down at her "Just like in the book. Now let's cash these and on our way home I'll buy you a doll."
"Yeah!!!"
Xavier's POV
"Oh silly." she scolded me as I climbed down from the tree in my garden with her balloon "You didn't have to get it for me."
"Here." I handed it to her and she smiled
"You silly." she giggled then pulled out a tissue "You scratched your cheek, Xavier."
She dabbed the tissue on the scratch and I stood perfectly still. She was so gentle...and pretty. I looked into her eyes and she smiled at me. I leaned in about to kiss her. I didn't care if I was seven and she was six. Our lips almost touched when my brother came back.
"Hey Xav-" he held up two sodas and I pulled away a little red in the face.
He caught sight of the odd moment and laughed.
"Here." he handed the both of us a soda
"Hey Xavi." Neveah ran up to meet us "Hey Bunny."
Bunny waved at her and just then her balloon popped.
"Oops." Chrissy shrugged and we all laughed
"Let's go play in the pond." Neveah pulled on my arm
"Sure." I ran off in the direction of the pond and Bunny and Neveah followed laughing and screaming
We all fell into the cool water and began splashing each other. Chrissy, who was nine, sat under a shady tree and watched us while we played. I saw something moved in the water and immediately grabbed it. I threw it on my twin's head and she screamed
"FROG!!!!" she screamed "Get it off! Get it off!"
I started to laugh and Chrissy smiled and shook his head. Bunny started to giggle
"Chrissy, Xavi threw a frog at me!" Neveah tried to take the frog from her hair but it moved and got tangled up in her curly locks "AAAAAHHHHH!!!!"
I laughed and mother came running.
"What on earth is the matter?" she asked Neveah
"Frog in my hair!" she was crying now and frantically trying to get the frog out her curls but she was scared to touch it "Xavi threw a frog in my hair!"
"Xavier Arivonese you don't go around throwing frogs at your sister." my mother tried to scold me but I could tell she was trying hard not to laugh "And as for you Cristiano Arivonese you don't sit there laughing."
