"And he went after her for it?" Xavier cracked a sly smile "I have it hidden where you'll never find it and when he found out I had it he tried to take her as bait and sent you here. You do know a lot about my plans and if you weren't my enemy I would have taken you to New York with me."
"Enemy?" I asked a little hurt "Am I that bad?"
He laughed.
Xavier's POV
"Not exactly. Why are you obsessed with me? What does Cardinal want? I know it's not my mafia."
"You're a mafia devil." she said "I know that much from the file I found in your closet."
Shit! The file from Chicago.
"What file?" I asked furiously
Play dumb and see how much she knows. I knew I should have hid that in my bed drawers.
"The file about you seeing a therapist for a year when u were thirteen to control your anger. You were incredibly violent as a child." she replied and I could hear she was frightened "I also know that you're going to New York by the next month. The mafia that you have here is just a bunch of people from other mafias helping to cover you while you protect Royalty from Cardinal. You're moving back to New York when all this is over. Your real mafia is there."
Wow she knows a little... alright... a lot.
I looked at her blankly so she went on.
"I know everything. It was in the files. You lived in America all your life. You were born here but you got adopted by American parents who know that you run a mafia. They adopted you two months after your parents were shot dead. Your adopted father, who adopted you Neveah and Chrissy, is the most successful man in America and he owns 75% of all the hotels and he's split it into two leaving you boys the business when he retires along with a house each and a fortune. For Neveah he leaves a house and fortune. Cardinal knows about the bonds that you hid in Italy which and he thought Royalty had it."
Looks like she knows my plans. She would have made a good girl. Too bad she's my enemy.

"You're not a criminal but you run a criminal organization." Jennifer studied me with a smile "That's....unusual."
"I have my ways." I said
"Like what?" she gave teased "Bond forgery and frauds?"
"Nope." I shook my head "But I like the way you think."
"Does Royalty know about this?" she asked me "Your real self?"
"No, she doesn't. I told her a shit ton of lies about my identity and my life here. I just hope that I find her and make things up with her. I'm in love with her and that's weird. I never chase a girl but I'm finding myself chasing after her."
"You're really sweet." I heard her mumble and I looked at her
"What do you mean?" I asked confused.
She looked at me from under her thick lashes.
"You were always sweet to me but I kept turning you away and locking you away." she rested her head on the table on top of her folded arms and looked at me "You care about her a lot and I realize that I've ruined something that means a lot to you. I just wanted love from someone and not be used as a sex toy. You showed me love and instead a destroyed your relationship. I'm sorry."
I looked at Jennifer and for the first time I caught sight of a broken girl.
"What's Cardinal's real plan with the bond?" I asked her
"I can't tell you." she turned away
"No one's going to know but me Jenn. You know about my files." I reasoned with her "Let's be fair. Tell me."
She turned back slowly. She looked at me and I could see she was thinking over my offer.
"He wants the money from the bond." she said after a minute of deafening silence "He wants you and Royalty dead."
"Why?" I asked
She took a deep breath.
"I'm not suppose to say anything but your biological father and Cardinal worked together before you or Chrissy was born." she told me "Your father took a diamond music box and fled one day after a raid on Queen Marie Jose. Your father had a deal to split the fortune with Cardinal but fled with the music box worth a fortune. Cardinal got mad and killed him years after he fled and was found along with Damanico, Lucario, Alessandro, Royalty, Geovanni, Jianan and people who had links to your parents."
"Damanico?"
"Yes his parents were killed. He's Cardinal's nephew with Luca and Alex." Jennifer replied "There's a contract that his father had with Royalty's and that's why he's her bodyguard."
"Body guard?"
"He tricked you into thinking he's changed sides but he I know he's who took Royalty."
"Where is he?"
"Don't know."
"Why did Cardinal kill his siblings?"
"Because they protected your family as the music box held a code for the account of the Queen and it's a shit ton of money and he wants it. He thinks it's in the music box but from what Damanico and Alex told me your father burnt the paper long ago."
