The men nodded and went off and the boys and I with Neveah pointed our guns as we moved carefully along the corridors which were away from the commotion. Another grenade went off and I smiled.
Good job boys! We're partying tonight!
A few men came down the corridor and we all fired and walked along still. We came to a room with a steel door with chains.
"He's got to be in there." Cristiano said pulling out his laser "Why else would they have chains?"
We all pointed our guns while he worked then finally we heard the chains snapped and Geovanni helped him pull them apart.
"The door is locked." Neveah said turning the handle
"Not on my watch." I said
I raised my foot and brought my heel down on it hard breaking the handle and the door opened.
"I guess they taught you well at the training institute." Jianan teased me and I rolled my eyes
"I'm a mafia boss so you've got to learn tricks like that." I told him and we walked into the room.
Empty!
"She's not here." I said
"She was though." Geovanni said picking up the sheets off the bed "Her spring like smell is on the sheet."
We all giggled as Geovanni smelt the sheets. Royalty's smell was really unique.
"So then where is she?" Jianan asked impatiently
"He knows we're here so he must have taken her somewhere safe." Cristaino said
"Indeed." a voice said and we turned around and instantly pointed out guns at the man
"Where is she Lucario?!" I demanded pulling another gun out my pocket and crossing my arms at my wrists
"If you shoot me Xavier you'll never know where she is." Lucario stated
I took down the guns and motioned the others to do the same but my hands were still on the trigger.
"Where is she?" I asked again
"Locked away in my tower." Lucario joked
"Stop playing!" Cristiano yelled "Where is Royalty?!"
"Oh, you mean Lady Royalty?" Lucario asked "I told you where she is but I'll be specific if I get money from you for her."
Another explosion shook the place.
"You're doing a good job at construction." Lucario said stepping closer.
"Lady Royalty?" Neveah asked confused "Is that Royalty's real name?"
"Yes." Lucario answered "Jillian and Nicolas had a high position in the mafia court. Now! Pay me and I'll return the princess to you."
Everyone turned to me.
"No!" I said defiantly
"No?" Lucario repeated "Don't you want the girl?"
"I do." I answered "But I'm not paying any asshole just for a girl."
I dropped my guns.
"Let's fight this out like real men." I said "No weapons. If you win I pay you how much you want and if I win you hand over Reign without any drama. Fair enough?"
I could see him thinking through it before dropping his gun.
Good! Let's settle this!
You know when two men walked around in circles glaring intensely at each other before pouncing? Well I was in that moment with a man way older than all of us in the room. He was twenty four and I was just eighteen so you'll think he would beat me.
"You're really young to be running a mafia." Lucario said to me while we circled
"Good to know I'm famous among the mafia men for that." I replied
"You piss me off Xavier!" Lucario snarled at me "You run such a mighty mafia while I have nothing because my father is holding on to the greed of his mafia."
"Poor you." I said "Enough talk! Let's get down to business."
He ran towards me and made a swing and I ducked and while there a belted him in the stomach. He bent over in pain. I did boxing if I wasn't drag racing and my blows were getting more powerful and deadly as time passed. He coughed up a little blood then swung for me and a fight started. He was beginning to get the better of me but Royalty kept coming into my mind and I fought back for her sake. He was on top of me sending blows fast and furious.
"XAVIER!!" Neveah screamed and I let Lucario get the upper hand for a little while longer then kneed him in the belly and threw him off me and into the table.
I stood up and took the rags, which was once my shirt, off me and loosened my belt. I smiled.
I'm going to get serious and show this asshole that years of intense training as a child in the mafia really pays off!
I had blood running down the side of my face where he had picked up a vase and smashed it into my temple during the fight. My lip was burst slightly and the blows to my stomach made me cough up blood twice but I was fine now. Lucario got up and flew towards me and made a swung and with very sharp reflexes I used one foot to turn sideways and miss his blow. He hadn't pulled back properly when I used the same foot to turn and kneed him in the stomach. He fell down holding his stomach but stood up and I began to fight back serving powerful blows to his stomach while I had him pinned on the wall.
Boxing does pay off after all!
I stepped back as he slumped to the ground weakly and coughed up pure blood. I was breathing hard and now I wasn't in any mood for shit!
"Where the HELL is she?!" I demanded
"I-in m-my room." he answered coughing up blood.
He was badly beaten and wounded worst than me but I didn't take pride in that. Some of my men walked through the door with a badly beaten Damanico between them.
"Take Lucario too and lock them underground." I order picking up my guns and Lucario's and walking out the room "I'm going to find Rei."
"We're coming too." Cristaino said and they ran after me.
