Chapter 55 Babe

1555words
A few hours before

"Babe, we're gonna be late!" Keith yelled again for the nth time.

Both of his hands rested on his waist as he paced back and forth in front of the staircase. They had agreed to stop by the city mall before going back to the base.

He glanced at his watch. 11 fucking a.m.

"Valentina Rodriguez!" he stopped pacing and yelled out once more.

"I'm coming, I'm coming! Stop.fucking.yelling.at.me! Idiot!"

Vale appeared in her blue tops and black jeans. A leather jacket hanging on her right shoulder, her bag on her left hands and her black boots thudded against the staircase as she descended the stairs.

Her hair flows down her back and her face...wait, no makeup?

"The hell is keeping you so long?" he grumbled.

"Drop the attitude! A girl's gotta take her time. Don't you know that?" sarcastically, she smiled as she walks past him towards the entrance door. Keith rolled his eyes and followed her out of the house.

They went to his car outside the gate and slid inside it before they drove towards the city. The car wasn't silent, at all. Vale was busy looking on her phone, smiling and giggling as she chatted with whoever it was on the phone.

Keith finally had enough when she saw her blush, cleared her throat and slipped the hair falling down her face behind her ear. He grabbed the phone away from her and saw the name of the person who she chatted with.

"Keith-" her mouth gaped.

It was S. Who the fuck is S?!

"Keith!" she turns her body towards him with a pissed off look on her face.

Keith ignores her and put her phone in his front pocket, which is out of her reach.

"Give.me.my.phone.back!" she ordered in gritted teeth.

"Who the hell is this S?" he ignored her as his jaw clenched when he recalled seeing them sending love hearts to each other.

"None of your business," she grumbled as she slumped back on her passenger seat, crossing her arms.

"This is my business because you're my girlfriend! You're smiling and giggling, and you're blushing! Wait, are you cheating on me?" he glanced at her blank face.

"I'm not your girlfriend," she said after a long paused.

"I thought we're over this!" his jaw clenched, and his knuckles turn white as he gripped the steering wheel tightly. His breath became laboured as his temper kicks in.

Vale turns her body slightly as she looks out at the scenery, ignoring him.

Keith cursed as he focused on his driving and at the same time, trying to keep their messages out of his head.

He obviously fails to do so. The conversation plays on repeat on his head over, over and over again, he swears it's gonna make him crazy.

Their chats.

The person named S.

Is she cheating on me?

If so, how long?

Why did she blush?

Do I really have to ask her to be my girlfriend?

Isn't it too late?

"Damn it!" he grumbled in a low voice.

The thought of her cheating on him enraged Keith. But, at the same time, it hurts like hell.

Had the attraction faded out?

Am I gonna lost her?

Did she not want me anymore?

Wait, what if she doesn't agree with the marriage at all?

What am I gonna do if she leaves me?

What if she wants to leave me?

How am I gonna cope?

"Ugh!" he groaned feeling the headache on his head growing bigger as the second tick by.

Keith sighed in relief upon seeing the city mall. If this city is big, he was sure that half of it is owned by the city mall.

He parked his car at the parking lot before walking out of the car. A small thud of the passenger door closing made him turn his head at the sound.

Vale walks out of the car and silently approached him without expression on her face. He wanted her smile-happy face back. But, he doesn't think that he's gonna have it soon.

Keith continued his walk to the entrance with Vale a few steps behind him before he halted, breath in, breath out.

"Damn it!"

He cursed before turning around and sped walk towards a surprised Vale, hugging her tightly in his arms, kissing her forehead longer than he was supposed to.

"I'm sorry, baby. Please...don't leave me..." her breath trembled as his imagination run wild.

"Love..."

"I'm sorry, please-" her words cut him off.

"Love, can't breathe."

"Oh, sorry." Keith pulled back from her a bit before burying his face at the crook of her neck.

"Don't leave me, please..."

Shit! I sound vulnerable.

If anyone were to laugh at him at this point, he'd turn a deaf ear towards them. He doesn't care if they judge a man who begs a woman not to leave him. If he has to do anything just to make his woman-the woman he loves, to stay, he'll do it, no matter the cost is.

"Oh, love. I'm h-here. I'm not going anywhere..." her voice croaked as her hands cup his face, lifting his head from her neck as her soft thumb rubbed the side of his cheeks.

"I'm sorry." he gazed into her eyes, wanting her to see the sincerity in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, too..." she said before tears slide down her cheek.

Keith lifted his hands and wiped her tears before pecking her in the lips.

"Come on, I think we're blocking the entrance and the shops are waiting."

He intertwined their finger's together before they step inside the mall. Vale's chuckles rang out as he grinned from ear to ear.

"Are we finished yet?" Keith asked, again, after a few minutes, and watermelon was thrown into his face.

Luckily, he managed to catch it before it landed on his face.

"That was close..." he sighed before placing the watermelon on the cart.

"I swear if you don't shut up, this, will end up on your pretty face," she said and held out a durian in her hands.

"Whoa! Easy! Fine! I am quiet!" Keith made a gesture to zip his mouth and threw the key away.

She glared at him before putting the durian back to its place. Keith pushed the cart, slowly following behind her. They had been going round and round for almost hours, and she wasn't done yet. He smiles sheepishly when some people passed by and gave them a weird look.

Why?

Well, you see. The cart is full, and when he said full, he just hoped it won't spill. Keith thought that they've got most of the needed food when Vale dragged him to snacks and fruits.

She kept asking him to choose which one is better and even asked him to hold them as she scanned the food with her eyes. It was tiring and frustrating, honestly.

Someone, please agree with me.

Finally, she was done picking what she wanted, and Keith couldn't complain at all.

Mouth zipped, remember?

"Keith..." Vale grumbled.

"Mmhm?"

"I'm hungry..." she turned her head to look at him, looking at him with hope.

As proof, her stomach grumbled loudly in agreement as blood rushed to her face.

They had just taken off from the city mall, and ten minutes after, she was hungry as hell.

Shopping is tiring but satisfying.

"Now you finally feel what I feel," Keith answered as he stopped by McDonald's and she sprang out of the car leaving him behind.

She was too damn hungry for food, and she's not gonna waste any of her time getting it inside her howling stomach.

She ordered for both of them as Keith looks for an available table. The place is packed. A big smile appeared on her face when their order was finished.

The looks on Keith's face when he saw her was hilarious as hell.

"How are you gonna finish all of that?" he asked.

"I don't know. But, I'm sure you wouldn't mind helping me, right?" she smiled as I looked at him, innocently and sat on the chair.

"Are you serious? This could feed a family of six!" he exclaimed, looking at the food.

"Oh, shush! Stop complaining and eat-umm! This is so good!" she moaned at the taste.

Damn! I'm gonna have to come back here, often.

"Stop moaning." Keith glared at her before diving in.

"But this is so yummy! We have to come back here again!"

"Whatever..." he said before reaching his hand to her face and wiped a spot near her lips.

"You eat like a child," he said before pulling his hand back and licked his thumb.

Vale blushed before clearing her throat and ignore him as she focused on her food.

A few minutes later, they finally finished stuffing their stomach and sat down for a few more minutes to rest.

"You good to go?" he stands up.

"Uh-yeah! Let me go to the bathroom first." she stand up as well.

"I'll wait for you in the car."

"Okay..." she asked one of the staff about the bathroom, and the staff said it was on the back.

Vale walks out of the washroom after finishing her business when she felt something hit her head hard and she blacked out.
