The taller stranger smirked with darkened eyes. "Finally..."
Wendy and Anastasia stepped back, looking up at the three strangers warily. The first once is a tall guy with black hair and chubby cheeks. The second one had gray ash hair and had a goth style look. The third one was small and relatively looked so idiotic. Anastasia and Wendy looked at them with disgust. When the guys took the first step closer, Anastasia gave a warning look, "Don't you dare come any closer!"
The tall guy frowned. "What?"
"Don't play coy.. I know what you want," she retorted.
"Oh really?"
"What do we want then?" The other one asked cheekily.
"The Luna is guessing our motive, nice," the other one commented with a smirk.
Anastasia frowned with confusion. "What game are you playing at?" she questioned.
"The game you want to play," the dumb one answered.
The taller one slapped his forehead. "We're not playing a game, okay? We've been searching for you."
"Wow, stalker much?" Wendy asked with a disdained look.
"Well, perhaps we are considered stalkers," the dumb one said. "We've been following the Luna since we came here."
The taller guy smacked the back of his friend's head. "Focus!"
"Ouch! Focus on what?"
"We're gonna take her—"
"I knew it!" Anastasia exclaimed, looking at them with widened eyes. "You're gonna kidnap me!"
The guys widened their eyes as if afraid they got caught. Anastasia tried to distance herself from the bad guys but when the first guy tried to approach her, she screamed in defense, "Don't touch me!"
"Touch you?" he asked, utterly confused. "My dear Luna, I would never in a million years want to disrespect you.. nor your friend there.."
Anastasia scowled up at them. "Wait.. what?"
The tall guy showed a grin with the most perfect white teeth she had ever seen. "We've been trying to tell you.. We're your biggest fans, Luna. Your husband, Alpha Draco, is our inspiration! We wanna be a strong warrior just like him!"
"A strong warrior?" Anastasia repeated.
"He's the strongest fighter we've ever seen," the other one said. "Alpha Fred said so himself."
Then the other one pulled out a cellphone from his back pocket and looked at her with hopeful eyes. "We were hoping we could get a selfie with you, if that's alright?"
Wendy chuckled behind her and Anastasia smiled. "Why not?"
The three strangers introduced themselves as one of the most aspiring warriors and fighters of the Crescent Pack. Part of their training was to look up to great Alphas and warriors who've had much experience in the battlefield. Anastasia had promised she would let them meet Alpha Draco soon. But time was running late and the three strangers had to go back to the party to do their jobs and go back to their positions.
"Well then, perhaps we'll see each other again later, dear Luna," they said as they walked away and back to the mansion.
Anastasia and Wendy gave them smiles before finally sighing in defeat. "I thought they'd never leave," Wendy mumbled. She looked terribly exhausted and out of breath.
"They seem.. nice," Anastasia murmured, thinking about adorable those guys are. But lesson learned, it was bad to always assume bad things about the people around her. That was not a good trait at all and she should eliminate it. A Luna strives for good leadership and a good heart. Instead of doubting everyone, she should be kind and helpful.
"Nice?" She heard Wendy murmur with distaste. "They freaking adore you! Especially Alpha Draco. They were literally worshipping you a few seconds ago."
"What? Of course not. They just wanna meet me since I am, in fact, the lost granddaughter of Alpha Fred. I'm sure if you were the lost one, they'd worship you too. Titles mean a lot in this world, Wendy, you know that. I'm being treated like that because I'm a Luna and Alpha Draco's wife."
"I don't think so," Wendy disagreed with a frown. "I got a feeling it's because you have this charismatic aura around you. And you're really pretty and wise for such a young Luna. No wonder everyone is kissing your feet wherever you go."
Anastasia shook her head in disbelief. "No one's kissing anyone's feet. And I don't like being worshipped like that. If I really am being adored by anyone, I'd rather be admired for who I am and not for who I am."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean.. I'd rather be admired for the things I've done rather than just for being the Luna and Alpha Draco's wife. Besides, you are pretty and smart too, Wendy."
Wendy scoffed with disapproval. "Easy for you to say. You are already beautiful and smart, you don't have to prove anything. Everyone bows down to you and worships you all the time."
"No, they don't. They only respect me as their Luna. Same as you do.. Besides, that's not the most important part of this conversation. We both have love, a good life, and a pack with growing prosperity. Beauty and wisdom aren't the basis for love, are they?"
Wendy shook her head.
"See? The only thing I've ever wanted in this awful and joyful world is love and I consider that more important than anything else."
Wendy sighed after a while, realizing the point of everything she was saying. "But I haven't done anything good to be deserving of someone's love and to receive your kindness. I was even cruel to you in the past. Beta Edward fell in love with Mr only because he took pity on me."
"No, that's not true. You're the reason I'm saved, Wendy. You spoke of the truth ever since you were taken to prison and you were the reason I'm alive now. I admire your will and determination to keep on living and surviving. You're stronger than you think and for that, you have my respect."
Wendy sighed, giving her a look. Anastasia saw the tears from the corners of her eyes. She knew Wendy was a strong girl and it was time she realized that.
"Why do you always do that, Luna?" She heard Wendy asking.
"Do what?"
"Talk nonsense while actually making sense."
Anastasia looked at her with amusement. "That doesn't make any sense."
"I know," Wendy chuckled.
Anastasia could not help but laugh as well but the sound of the party was sounding back in her ears and she felt like she needed to do something to feel alive. Something very fast and exhausting perhaps. She looked at the night sky and found the sea of stars dancing in the darkness, sparkling and shining. Her wolf suddenly howled in her head, begging to be released.
Finally, she glanced at Wendy with a smirk. "You wanna go for a run?"
Wendy grinned, looking excited. "I'm ready when you are."

"This place is so awesome!" Wendy exclaimed towards Anastasia's mind as soon as they began running into the forest. Anastasia howled up towards the moon and felt the ground vibrating from her voice. Running beside her was Wendy and she imitated her howl. Indeed, the place was amazing, so different and unique from she was used to.
They had previously run for about a mile. Earlier, they had hidden behind a tree and stripped off their clothes, preventing it from being ripped once they shifted. And together, Anastasia and Wendy ran for about half an hour, enjoying the warm cool wind and the view, until suddenly she heard someone calling her name inside her head.
"Baby doll, where are you?" Alpha Draco's worried voice echoed inside her head, making her wolf stop on its tracks. She frowned in her head, realizing that her Alpha Draco was able to do that once they were mated.
"I'm running," she answered after a moment.
"What?! Come back here! Now!" His voice sounded so shocked, angry and concerned all at the same time.
"Why? Did something happen?"
"Just come here. Now." This time, his voice was deeper, meaning he was serious and wanted her back to the mansion as soon as possible.
"Wendy, we have to get back," Anastasia said through Wendy's head.
"What? Why?" Wendy's wolf looked so confused.
"Something must've happened.. Alpha Draco wants us back.."
"Alright."
Quickly, they rushed back to the mansion and found Beta Edward and Alpha Draco waiting for them near the trees where they left their clothes off. With his handsome angry face, Draco had his arms crossed over his chest, a look of disappointment in his eyes. Wendy walked towards the other side of the tree, hugging Beta Edward who was already waiting for her. Meanwhile, Anastasia shifted back into her human form with a nervous gulp, looking up at Alpha Draco who had a stern frowning eyebrows on his forehead. Why did he look so angry? What did she do this time?
"Where have you been?" Alpha Draco questioned seriously, looking angry as he wrapped a blanket around her, protecting her naked body from the world's eyes.
"We just went for a run, it's no big deal," she mumbled softly, trying to make him calm.
"No big deal? What if something bad happened to you? What if you were followed by some maniac and I wasn't there? What would happen to you?"
"You're overreacting.. Don't think too much about this.."
He sighed after seeing her sad face. "I don't wanna be the crazy husband, baby doll, but you have to understand.. I'll do anything to protect you. I'd kill to save you.. I already lost you once.. and I'm not losing you again."
Anastasia took a deep breath once she saw his eyes that spoke truth and sadness. She understood what he meant. "I'm sorry.." she murmured apologetically.
Alpha Draco pulled her to him and hugged her tight. She laid her head on his chest, closing her eyes and savoring his warmth. "Don't do that again, he warned but with love. "Next time if you want to run, ask me instead.. alright?"
"Yes, Alpha Draco."
He kissed her forehead. "Good." Then he pulled back with a grin and turned around, grabbing her by the hand and pulling her with him.
"Where are we going?"
"Back to the party."
"Um.. sure but.. I think you're.. forgetting something.."
"What is it, baby doll?" He asked, still focused on the way.
"I'm still.. naked."
Realizing they were the only ones there, Alpha Draco stopped on his tracks and turned to look down at her, his eyes darkening hungrily. "Baby doll.. come here.."
