At this rate, Nari's cheek stung harder than before due to the endless slap she had getting from Kate. Her eyes stung with tears as she fought the urge not to fight back, not to put this old witch in her place.
She was fed up by the constant brutality she got from Kate. This is not the life she signed up for, she isn't Anna to endure this bullshit. She was tired. Kate tried to hit her again and this time she was quick to hold her hands, shocking the woman before her.
"That's enough." Nari yelled. She was done playing Mrs nice to Kate.
It's not like she did anything, whatever decision she made was to help them in some way. They were both broke and had no money, rather than hitting her, Kate should be grateful she had come up with a wonderful plan to help them. But rather than praises, slaps is what she gets?
Who knew the Declan's had more than one hidden camera in the mansion? Her intentions were simple, find a way to blackmailing the Declan's. It's not like they couldn't afford it.
Who knew it wouldn't take Noah anything to catch her? It's a good thing she was still standing alive in here after how roughly the guards had dumped her in here.
"You insolent child. This is how you pay me for everything I have done for you." Kate yelled at Nari who showed no remorse whatsoever. They had plans, and somehow, Nari's stupid decisions has ruined everything they had planned.
Anna will never accept freeing Mack Yong ever again. She had even embarrassed herself by trying to defend Nari's foolishness before those people. Whatever respect the Declan's have for them before is all gone now due to Nari's foolishness.
"Done for me?" Nari asked. "I never forced you to adopt me to spite your neice. I was on my own when you came to me. I didn't ask you to do anything for me." Nari yelled.
"Why does it always have to be you, why not me for once?" Nari continued her words.
"You ungrateful child. We had plans Nari, we had a goal last night. All you had to do was tell me about your plans to avoid mistake. Do you know what you have done?" Kate asked.
"You made us seem like fools before those people. I've spent millions of my money trying to revive your shattered career and this is how you repay me?"
"I should have known." Kate started.
"Known what exactly? That the blackmailing tricks doesn't work on me? I've done as much to help you too, did you forget whatever it is we are going through now is all because of your dumb decisions too mother." Nari yelled.
"I was only trying to help, I didn't mean to harm you in any way. I would never do anything to harm you." Nari yelled playing the reverse card again. She didn't want to be with Kate, but being with Kate is her closest chance to having a better life.
"How pathetic for the both of you." Another voice rang in the air and both women turned to see Anna standing before them. Her blue eyes shown in the room as she watched both woman embarrass themselves before her.
Anna had seen the video clip and was already so upset about everything, but seeing this two failed woman fight for the first time ever, she felt relieved.
They should be the power puff girls, the ones who always plot against her. It's amusing how her own aunt would rather side with another person than with her. Anna always knew their sudden love for her and care was just another plot to bring her down, but over and over again she had let herself believe they could change.
Hating her has always been Kate's lifestyle from the start. She would side others against Anna.
"What are you doing here?" Kate turned to the girl. Anna is the last person she expected to see. She was in the middle of scolding Nari, the one she acknowledges to be her daughter.
"The boldness to show your face here after letting the Declan's humiliate your family today." Kate started.
"You're as useless as your mother Anna. I really should never have let father save you the night he did. You're better off dead than living with us." Kate continued with her assault. Anna didn't react as always. She only scoffed atring at her Aunt.
Of course, they ways blame Anna even when they're clearly wrong. She's always been blamed all her life for everything misfortune, for every pain, even when she's not at fault Kate would ways find a way to blame her for it.
"What was I supposed to do? Babysit Nari not to try to plot against me for a night that's meant to be celebratory?" Anna asked. She was fed up with the pathetic excuses everytime.
"Am I always supposed to tell you both what to do?" Anna asked feeling upset already. She was younger than Nari for crying out loud, why does she have to be the one to bring them together. She would never let this two get any reaction from her ever again. She will make sure they pay for everything they have done.
Kate wanted to speak but Nari held her hands immediately. The angry facade was now gone, replaced by a calm and peaceful one. "I'm so sorry Anna." Nari started as if feeling so remorseful about what she had done.
"You shouldn't always take things to heart Anna. I was only messing around, I didn't mean to hurt you sweet sister." Nari said sweetly, but Anna wasn't dumb not to fall for their tricks anymore.
"I was only bored because I haven't seen Mack in months Anna. How long do you plan on keeping him for yourself? You already have Noah, you have your big blessings, what do you want my husband for?" Nari asked.
"Don't bother recording any conversation we have. There'll be plenty of time for that. I already told you what you have to do to get your Mack back. Don't you love him so much anymore?" It was Anna's time to play her game now. Enough of the play, if Nari and her aunt think they're smart, she'll show them she's ten times ahead of her.
Nari frowned immediately at Anna's words, as she placed her phone on the table. She wouldn't be so stupid to try to fight Anna today, the slap Kate has given her had somehow rested her brain and she realized her mistake.
Her mother was right, and it was even more embarrassing for Anna to walk in on them fighting. They have one common enemy to tackle which is Anna, they couldn't afford to lose before her.
Right now, Mack is all she wanted. She should have never tried to prank anyone in the first place. She should have maintained being the good daughter she's always pose to be. She was this one to selling herself as that before the Declan's this morning, but her foolishness wouldn't let her.
"Anna, I've apologized to you countless times already. We agreed to never go back to the last, we agreed to be sisters..."
"Yet you tried to tarnish my image the little chance you get?" Anna retorted. She wasn't alone, Noah was waiting for her in the car, he didn't want to see her family before he did something stupid to them. Plus Anna had told him she would handle them on her own. But what Anna didn't know was that Vincent and arrived also with Evelyn and Lionel.
Whatever trick Nari thought she had pulled had backfired back and now she's trying so hard to make it seem like a joke. What sort of joke was even that?
"It was only a prank Anna. I was only messing around."
"Messing around with something as sensitive as that?" Evelyn Declan walked in, her eyes roaming around the mansion as she stared at the girl. Vincent has tried to stop her from coming here but after seeing the footage of Nari sneaking into their home and all of the drama from this morning, she couldn't control her anger.
Noah kicking the girl out wasn't enough for her. Nari deserves more punishment for trying to double cross them and play tricks on them.
"Mother." Anna called surprised to see her there.
"Enough Anna, this is no longer your fight." Evelyn shunned her daughter in law. "You should worry about the babies than this two here, I'll handle them myself." Evelyn said. Her words did not skip Kate's ears as she blinked to be sure she heard correctly.
"What babies?" Kate asked staring between her Anna and her step mother. The words had already left Evelyn's lips and then she regretted immediately. Noah would be so mad at her for revealing anything about his children, especially at this early stage.
"Anna's pregnant?" Kate asked again to be sure. She did not see this coming at all.
