She sifted through the luxurious fabrics and intricate designs, admiring their craftsmanship. However, none of them felt right for the important meeting she was attending. She needed something simple yet elegant, a look that conveyed both confidence and sophistication.
The designers began to line up their dresses and Anna stared at them. She tried on several outfits she liked and rejected the ones she didn't.
"Hours later, after much deliberation, Anna made her selections. The chosen designers beamed with pride, while the others graciously accepted her decisions. They were just glad to have been able to see her in person. Indeed she is a true fashion icon.
As the last designer packed up, Anna walked into her room to prepare for her meeting. She was supposed to meet George an hour ago, but picking a dress to wear had taken most of her time. She could only hope the man was still waiting for her.
She finished her makeup just in time and styled her hair the way she wanted before finally slipping into the black elegant lace dress she had picked. The dress had special crystals attached to it that gave it the right spark it needed.
Anna took a moment to admire herself in the mirror. The dress fit her perfectly, accentuating her figure and giving her a look of timeless elegance.
She wore her shoes and picked her purse. As if remembering something, she opened her drawer and brought out the new diamond necklace Noah had gotten for her recently. Since her return, she wakes up with new diamond jewels everyday and she couldn't be more thankful to her husband.
Noah was spoiling her too much and she loved it. This is something Mack would never and had never done for her even he claimed to love her.
"Madam." A maid called from the bedroom and Anna walked out of her closet to see who it was. "Yes?"
"The car is ready madam, and Lola is here to see you." The maid announced with a small bow.
"It's about time she did. Tell her I'll be with her shortly." Anna got back into the closet for finishing.
When she was done, she took a moment to admire herself in the mirror. The dress fit her perfectly, accentuating her figure and giving her a look of timeless elegance. Anna adjusted her necklace and earrings perfectly.
With a final glance, she grabbed her clutch and headed out. Her heels made clicking sound on the floor as she walked, alerting everyone that she was here.
Lola who was waiting for her in the lounge rose the moment she saw her. "Miss Sui, you're looking so beautiful." She complemented.
"Thank you Lola." Anna smiled.
"You would take pictures right, we need new looks to keep your pages engaged." Lola waved the camera in her hands. She wasn't just Anna's manager, but also a good photographer, she didn't pursue her career because photographers barely made money in the first three years and she needed money to support her family.
Anna posed at a corner of the mansion where Lola took a few photos. "We'll edit this and send it to you later." She said.
"Alright. Shall we?" Both ladies walked out of the mansion and stepped into the car already waiting. Behind them were two convoys filled with Noah's men, he increases her security everyday and the funny thing is, they are always with licensed weapon.
Noah has given them orders to eliminate any threat to his wife without a second thought. She didn't know why he was this protective and she hated it.
"Tell me about George." Anna said to her manager who began detailing the situation.
"From the little information you sent before the accident, he harassed you at the after party and tried to force himself on you. He called you a slut and accused to sleeping with Mr Declan."
"That bastard." Anna said her eyes flashing with anger.
"Try not to insult him, he might try to record your conversation and use it against you." Lola warned.
"Of course, he's an asshole. I should put him in his place."
"Yes, we will, when we finally release an official press statement against him. For now we don't have enough evidence." Lola said. She sighed rubbing her temples, she sure is going to get old quick at 28. "Whatever you say today will determine if we will be able to deal with that man or not. Getting rid of George is not going to be easy. He's one of the industry heads." Lola sighed.
She had no idea why Anna attracted so many problems to herself.
The drive to the location George had sent was smooth, and as they arrived, Anna stepped out of the car with her manager. She had already covered her face with a nose mask and shades to avoid unnecessary paparazzi snapping photos of her.
Who knew what George might have planned? He could already be fabricating more lies about her. George wouldn't dare mess with her ever again, she knew she had to put him in his place today and end everything she has to do with him once and for all.
But at the top of it all, she also needs to secure the role she wanted too.
As she and Lola walked through the elegant lobby of the hotel, the saw a few men in black suit standing at the entrance.
Anna's phone beeped immediately too and when she checked the message, it was from Janjan. She said she wanted to talk and was asking if Anna was available.
This was not the place to respond to her so Anna ignored her message and walked forward.
They were escorted to a private dining room at the back of the hotel. The room was dimly lit, with a single table set for two. George was already there, sitting with a smug expression on his face.
The guards by the door didn't let Lola go in with Anna. In their defence they were given a strict order not to let any other person in.
The guards also took her purse and phone, "For safety reasons miss Sui." The guard said.
Oh George, he thinks he's so smart doesn't he? Anna smiled at her thoughts.
"Anna Sui, glad you could make it," he said, standing up as she entered.
