Chapter 139 AUNT'S VISIT

1038words
Anna bit her lower lip as she walked up the stairs. She had no idea she was supposed to help Noah undress; she was too embarrassed to even get close to him when he is shirtless so why is she the one taking off his clothes.

Noah always undressed her when she got back from wherever she went, and she never thought the same could be done for him.

As she approached their bedroom door, Anna felt a flutter of nerves. She took in deep breath before twisting the door knob and stepped into the room.

Noah had already taken off the cufflinks and unbuttoned a few buttons of his shirt when he paused, mid-motion, to stare at her. "Are you alright?" he asked, concern evident in his voice as he walked up to her. He had been standing next to the bed, his coat and tie were already on the bed.

Anna shivered, feeling suddenly small before him. "Yes, I'm fine," she managed to say, her voice softer than she intended.

Noah's presence was overwhelming, his proximity making her heart race. He reached out and gently lifted her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze. "You look a bit pale," he observed. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"My sweet girl," Noah called worriedly since she didn't respond, his eyes and hands roamed all over her body, checking for any signs of injury or anything amiss, but he found none.

"I... I'm fine," she said breathlessly. She had no idea what was happening to her, but she felt hotter than she had ever felt before.

Noah sighed in relief at her words. "You're supposed to keep your aunt company. You can't stay a minute without me?" He smiled, trying to lighten the mood.

"I... I came to help you change your clothes. You must be too tired to do so," Anna said, her voice wavering slightly.

Noah shook his head slightly, "I'm fine, you need rest." He mumbled leading her to the bed but she paused. "I... I can manage myself." Anna said.

"I... I came to help you and I'll do just that." She said.

"Alright," he said softly. "But you don't have to do anything you're not comfortable with."

Anna took a deep breath, gathering her courage. She reached up and slowly began to unbutton his shirt, her fingers trembling slightly. Noah remained still, his gaze unwavering as he watched her.

As she worked her way down his shirt, Anna couldn't help but notice the warmth radiating from his skin. Her heart pounded in her chest and she bit on her lower lip. She felt another familiar wave of heat between her legs and she quickly pressed her thighs together.

She was pregnant right, so why does she still feel this way?

When the last button was undone, she gently pushed the shirt off his shoulders, letting it fall to the floor. Noah's bare chest was inches from her, and she couldn't help but admire the defined muscles and the strength he exuded.

"J... Janjan called earlier." Anna said trying to distract herself from her stupid thoughts and feelings.

"Yes, about Chalamet's wedding." Noah announced as he watched her unbuckle his belt before taking it out of his waist for his trouser to sag a bit.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" Anna asked staring into his grey eyes.

"I was going to tell you, but the bride said she would do that herself, seems like she did." Noah touched his chin. "She did, earlier. I'm so happy for her." Anna said pulling his zipper for the trouser to fall from his waist.

"Hmm." There was something about her temper lately, and he didn't want to offend her.

"She invited me for her marriage Eve and I'll be going." Anna announced leaving no room for argument and neither did Noah argue with her. He knew she had to be there. Janjan is like a sister to Anna and it's only right she's there to support.

"We'll have to visit the doctor first for checkup before you go." He held her hands from removing his short completely. "I'll take it from here." Noah said placing her on the bed as he walked into the bathroom.

Chalamet had invited him during the grand opening event to his wedding, but Noah wasn't just going to attend the wedding like a guest. He had been invited for his cousins bachelor party. Noah couldn't imagine himself with those men.

Chalamet group of friends are the worst people to associate with. One minute everything's fine and then the next they've gotten into the biggest trouble there is to find. He wished he could escape from it, but it'll only make his wife mad at him.

He took out the last piece of fabric hanging around his waist and stepped under the running water as he moved his hair backwards. Noah added a handful of soap to his palm and started washing his hair. He still couldn't contain the joy of knowing he would be a father soon.

First, he had to keep his child away from his family first and his wife's. Both families are filled with the craziest people in the world. He started applying generous amount of soup on his body but was easily distracted from his thoughts when he felt a soft hand on him.

Noah raised his face to rinse the soap from his face as he opened his eyes quickly to see his wife beneath him. "What are you doing?" He asked staring at her. Such boldness to interrupt his bath, something she would never do.

"I told you I was going to take care of you tonight didn't I?" Anna asked as her hands moved around him. She couldn't believe where such boldness came from but she continued in whatever she was doing.

"No." Noah said holding her hands as he rinsed the soap out of them. "You can't stress yourself. I can bath myself." Anna placed her hands on his lips to shush him quickly and he turned stiff shocked at her boldness.

"You've taken care of me countless times, let us do the same Sugar, that's what the baby wants." She rubbed her stomach.
