Chapter 127 THE FACE OF ECLIPSE

Inside the dressing room, Anna's makeup was complete and she was now standing before the large floor to ceiling mirror staring at her appearance. Gone is the milk-colored gown that swept the red carpet; in its place, Anna wears a tight-fitting plain white floral dress. The fabric clings to her curves, sculpting her figure with understated elegance. Pieces of invisible glittering diamond are sprinkled delicately throughout the dress, catching the light with each movement and casting a mesmerizing sparkle.
She looked so beautiful, like a radiant goddess descended from the heavens. Her hair was tied to the back neatly with diamond pins used in rolling it. In this dress, she looked nothing like Anna Sui. The Anna Sui everyone knew.
She was the last act of the night, and had to appear the best.
Lola who only just stepped in to give a warning announcement turned speechless. "Woah! She couldn't hold her exclamation and Anna smiled. Lola always knew Anna was beautiful, but tonight, she was extraordinarily gorgeous.
Anna was so beautiful that even if she's placed in the building as a statue, she would be in the lips of everyone. There's no way people wouldn't talk about her all night. She would indeed be the center of attention.
"Have the models been introduced yet?" Anna asked and she nodded.
"We have the last five still waiting to be Introduced. You'll be the next after them. Just as we practiced, you'll be ascending from down the stage to shock everyone." Anna nodded. She had prepared herself mentally for it.
"What was the news about earlier?" Lola stole the opportunity to ask. It had been a shocking news even for her, for a few minutes the world was about to end.
"What news?" Anna asked feigning ignorance.
"The news about Nari being your sister?"
It's a shame that news had gone farther than it should and it's all thanks to Nari. She was so sure that evil being was the one behind it. Too desperate for fame and power that she would do unimaginable things to get there. She wouldn't mind killing a few people or two out of the way.
Anna was so fed up by her. Just when she thought she had successfully removed Nari from the picture, she had found a way to be back.
"Oh yes, that's true. My aunt loves her too much and adopted her." Anna said casually ignoring the girl who had her mouth wide open before her. She had kept her response short for a reason and she let it be that way.
It's not like she could do anything about it. Her aunt Kate is a very stubborn woman and will never not adopt Nari no matter how hard she complained. She knew Nari is trying to use her in reviving her career, and she didn't have a choice but to help her new sister right?
Lola wanted to ask more questions but it was already time for her appearance.
"Mr Declan had asked me to give this to you." Lola brought out the ring Noah had asked Anna to wear. It is a silver ring handcrafted by the royal family to honour Noah and his new company since he's also a descendant of them.
Anna stared at the ring, a small smile forming on her lips as she wore it. It was beautiful, fitting her dress perfectly. Anna would have thanked Noah if he was here at the moment but he wasn't. She would have to thank him when she sees him.
Lola hurried back to the set to find out what was happening there as she has been assigned to handle a few things besides just Anna. She was also handling a few other top models and needed to see they were all okay.

Nari walked through the hall with a deep frown plastered on her beautiful face. Her plans of appearing at the red carpet to steal the show from Anna had failed drastically yet again. She's never been angrier.
She hated being in the shadow, this is the reason she didn't want Anna to return. She always manages to steal the spotlight somehow. As if being the best dresses and most talked about is not enough, Anna is to be announced as the face of Eclipse. The number one entertainment company in the country. She has overheard a few people talk about it in the hall.
That will never happen. Not when she can stop it. She'll never let Anna shine again, she'll make sure she eliminates her completely this time. She'll give her no chance to come back up.
Nari is more than determined to destroy her completely.
Her eyes scanned the hallway as she walked through, looking for a room with silver flower carpet just at the entrance. It couldn't be that hard to find could it?
Just as she walked a little further, she noticed someone standing just at the end of the hall. He was in a black shirt, though he had a mask on his face, she could still recognize him. Mack had just finished serving a few drinks to the guest and was about to return the tray of empty glasses when he saw a familiar figure walking through the hall.
At first he wanted to run away before anyone notices him, but when he looked closely, he saw Nari walk towards him in a red dress. She looked different from the Nari of a few days ago. She looked more beautiful, in that red dress she wore.
Mack almost tched seeing his ex. If he hadn't seen the news this morning he would have believed she found a rich man with money because he had none. He was impressed she had indeed made the Sui's adopt her. What he couldn't understand was how she did it.
Nari has always been a sly woman, but he didn't know she could do something this wild. He's never been this much attracted to her before.
Mack wanted to walk away when she called, "Mack", he paused to look at her.
