They considered asking for help from very smart people, such as scientists, engineers, and historians who might explain what the device does. But even these experts could not provide any answers; it seemed like this item was from another world that humans cannot understand.

They looked at Leo becoming famous with a lot of pride and happiness. A skill had been nurtured, youthful energy guided - now he was beginning to soar high. It was a pleasing view.
"He's going to change the world," Dapo said, his voice filled with admiration.
Eki nodded with her eyes, showing she understood. "He's already doing it," she said. "We just need to keep supporting him."

"Your work is incredible," Eki said, gesturing towards a painting the woman had displayed.
The woman, Anya, was surprised. "Thank you," she said with gratitude in her voice.
Now, Eki and Anya begin talking. It seems they both have a passion for art and hold strong views on social justice matters. Anya is already becoming known as a rising star; her works are getting noticed. Eki saw a possible team partner in this person, someone to join their mission.
Eki and Dapo requested Anya to join them for dinner at their home after the gala event. While having food, they discussed art, various places around the world, and what dreams they had in life. Anya was clever, always energetic and very driven. She had every quality they searched for in a partner to collaborate with.
As night was finishing, Eki and Dapo felt excited. They found another person similar to them, someone who also had the dream of making good changes in the world.

A chill went up their backs. They got it now; this was a trap, like catching prey. Thorne plays with fire and they are the pawns.
They must choose quickly. Ignore the note and maybe miss important chances, or check it out, possibly risking their lives. It's a gamble, but one they couldn't evade.
