When they see the remains of the place, they know it is the moment to make a decision. The way in front is not clear, but they feel a duty to go ahead.
They went back to Nigeria, their minds filled with many questions. What did they find inside the secret room? What does this shiny ball mean? And more importantly, what plans is Thorne making?
They choose to focus on their work, putting energy into something good. This decision made the art summit more important than it was before. It was an opportunity for people to unite over one specific issue – transforming it from a simple event into something larger, like a movement.
The city of Lagos, growing very quickly, is where the summit took place. This meeting happened in a location that fits well with its goal to transform and bring fresh energy into the art world. Artists, curators, collectors and activists from different countries come together to talk about what the future might be for art and culture.
The summit began when Eki and Dapo gave a strong speech. They talked about problems in the art world, showing how difficult it can be. Both stressed the significance of bringing fresh ideas. They mentioned their wish to concentrate more on teamwork, using honest ways, and being fair in society.
The summit becomes a place for talking, sharing ideas, and getting inspired. Artists told their own stories; curators explored new ways to set up art exhibitions; and collectors promised to support fair practices. It was a place where many ideas met—everyone worked together to create a new era in art.
There was also Kofi, a young artist with many dreams. For a long time, he watched the work of Eki and Dapo, feeling motivated by their dedication to making social situations better. When the initiation ceremony ended, he approached them with eyes expressing admiration.
"I feel motivated to use my art to make a change," he said. "I want to make art that has importance."
Eki and Dapo felt very moved by his words. In Kofi, they see a reflection of themselves - young artists with a strong desire to create change through art. So, they proposed to be his mentors. They wished to aid him in improving his skills and discovering his special artistic style.
During the summit, Eki and Dapo felt they were at a very important time. They saw it was not only a meeting; it became like a movement - where artists and people who love art from many countries gather to talk about ethics and social responsibility.
But, they also understood that the battle was not finished. Thorne remained somewhere nearby, and there was no doubt he would attempt to disrupt their plans once more. But they knew the war was not finished yet. Thorne is hiding somewhere, and surely he will try to disturb their plans again.
Right before they were going to finish these meetings on the final day of the summit, an unusual message arrived. The message contained only a single word: "Endgame."
The message is not clear, and Eki and Dapo feel anxious. The word "Endgame" stays in their mind, making them worry about danger hiding in the shadows.
"They're coming for us," Dapo said, his voice low and filled with dread.
Eki gave a small nod to show she understood. In her eyes, I saw fear mixed with strong determination. They were aware that it was approaching; nevertheless, Thorne's final action affected them deeply.
They made a plan quickly. They will make sure their loved ones are safe. And they will inform the police, but not rely solely on them. This problem is something they have to handle by themselves.
When they were preparing, it seemed everything was coming to an end. Perhaps this could be the finish, but then they decided not to give up. They had fought hard and sacrificed too much to stop now.
With much sadness, they say goodbye to their children and leave them with close friends. This was very hard for them but something important to do.
When they left their home, many emotions appeared. It was a goodbye to the place where all memories and important things were created and appreciated. But this step also means going into something unknown - it feels like stepping into a fight that will decide their legacy.
The hotel is located in a small town named Tangerhütte, which is out in a rural area. It was simple to find and had all the necessary things we needed for our stay. We took a rest there before starting our journey to lands unknown. The place they were going was exactly the distant spot where the strange device had been found, making it feel both dangerous and hopeful because it might decide the future of everyone.
When they come closer, fear begins to rise inside them. They understood it was a trap, but no other options were there anymore. They had to confront Thorne eventually.
Their hearts beat quickly, and they get out of the car and go into the night. Air is still, the only sound is a coyote crying in the distance. They stayed by themselves, open to danger that they could not identify.
Suddenly, there was a very bright light. They try to cover their eyes but the light is so strong that they cannot see anything at all. After some time passes and their eyes get used to the light again, they see someone standing right in the middle of that open space. The person is hidden by shadows, but their eyes shine with a strange and unnatural glow.
That time was filled with great fear and wonder. They encountered something that no one could grasp, it went beyond what words can explain.
