Chapter 130: A Mentor's Legacy

1683words
Eki and Dapo stayed very careful. The danger from Thorne was a big problem, making their lives feel dark like heavy clouds in the sky. But fear did not take over them. They stayed strong in their choice to expose Thorne and his team.

They decided to focus on building good manners. They got ready to use their position, aiming to inspire creativity and passion in upcoming artists. A mentorship plan was created, to give back help and support to the community that had provided them with many different opportunities.

They showed pictures of talking with young artists who have many dreams - giving advice and help, supporting when needed. This job was not easy but it made them happy. The joyful look in the eyes of new students made Eki and Dapo feel eager to join a better future.

The idea of mentoring became very exciting and began to attract many young artists from different parts of the country. The group set up workshops to teach these new creators important skills and knowledge necessary for success. Exhibitions were also organized, giving students chances to display their artworks and creating opportunities for new talents to be noticed.

When the mentorship program became bigger, it also made it more dangerous for them. Thorne's spies were keeping a close eye on everything they did, and they felt that now was the moment to tell all the truths. Eki and Dapo, with strong determination, continued on their mission. They had a clear goal guiding them, believing that art could make things better.

When I went to an art show one time, there was a girl who was very interested in looking at paintings by our mentee. She has a strange expression on her face; her eyes are big like she is amazed and curious.

Eki came closer, a happy smile showing on her face. "I see you like the picture," she said.

The lady looked and her eyes showed surprise. "Wow," she said, "It looks like the artist can capture very deep parts of human beings."

Eki starts talking with a young lady. She tells me her name is Eki. This girl, Anya, is also telling her name and shares her desire to be an artist too. She says Anya has been watching the works of Dapo and Eki in helping new artists; it gives her a lot of motivation.

When we talked, Eki saw something special in Anya. She had a unique way of looking at things and her drawings were full of imagination. She saw in Anya a spark similar to her own path.

When the show ended, Eki spoke to Anya and asked if she wished to join her mentorship program. Anya felt very thrilled and expressed that this chance made her happy. For Eki, it appeared to be about passing on duties – assisting in the creation of a new team of artists who would continue working hard with her support and encouragement.

The power of their mentor journey began to increase, and soon people asked them to speak at conferences and schools. Eki and Dapo were turning into famous figures in the art world, with their impact spreading everywhere.

But, as they looked very closely, the situation became dangerous. Thorne's team watched with much attention and stayed patient.

One evening, when Eki was preparing for a very important meeting, she received a package with no name on it. The box was not big and after opening it ng to see what was inside, my heart felt heavy because there was a scary note that said: "Your time is running out."

Eki's heart was beating so fast, and her chest felt tight. Cold sweat appeared on her forehead. She looked at Dapo with eyes that showed she was very scared.

"We're in trouble," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Dapo's face paled. He knew what this meant. Thorne was getting nearer. "We must get ready," he said in a calm voice, trying to hide his worry.

Before, we had a set time to look over and confirm all the security steps. After doing this check, we would tell the security team if there were any higher risk factors.

The time after, it was days of hurry and many worries. Each shadow could hide danger, every sound may bring problems. Living with constant fright, life is like carefully walking on a string.

Even so, they kept doing their work even if there was fear. They knew stopping was not an option. Thorne tried to make them silent but looks like they were not letting him do that.

They find success in their program to help new artists. They visit schools, universities, and art galleries from many places around the country. The story they told was very inspiring; it made other people feel hopeful and motivated to chase their dreams too.

One time, when we visited a small village, people there found a young girl called Amina. She had an incredible talent for drawing and painting. Her artworks showed powerful emotions and strong expressions. She uniquely looked at the world, always having a gentle presence that got people's attention.

Eki and Dapo saw something unique in Amina. They believed she could bring about great change. This is the reason they give her a scholarship for their art class - because of the wish to help her talent grow.

Amina, she is very happy. She says "thank you" to Eki and Dapo. Her eyes look at them with much gratitude. As Eki and Dapo watch her go, they feel something stir in their hearts; it is happiness. They are creating a path for their future—a story filled with hope and ideas that other people can learn from.

But, the danger from Thorne was still present. They understood that their actions might change things, but it also put a target on their backs for others who wanted to find and capture them as well. So, they had to be watchful all the time.

When they enter their hotel room, feeling both tired and very excited, they notice that at the same time, both of their phones start ringing. They look closely at the screens and see an unknown number calling them. Eki pauses for a short while before answering the call.

"Hello?" she said, her voice filled with caution.

There was a small break, and then a voice spoke in a way that felt cold and frightening. It said, "Your time is almost up."

Eki and Dapo looked at each other with worry in their eyes. The phone call, the message -- it was clear Thorne was coming closer. The danger seemed thick, filling the room and making it hard to breathe.

"We have to move," Dapo said, his voice barely a whisper. "Now."

Eki, her head bobbing up and down while she thinks fast. Staying in one place is not good for us. We must keep moving from place to place so trouble has a harder time finding us. Thorne comes back again and again, and we are the ones he targets most often.

They took what they wanted, their hands shaking because of fear and strong will. They leave the hotel without anybody seeing them, a glance turning into the final one.

In the later times, they only drove here and there without a clear goal. They wished to vanish like ghosts in the city. After this event, they got a room in a motel where they signed up with fake names to keep their true identities hidden from everyone. New version: Now, just driving around without any purpose. They wished to disappear like ghosts in the big city. After this event, they found a room in a motel and registered with fake names – not revealing their true selves. Recently, it's mostly been about driving around without any clear purpose. They wished to vanish like ghosts in the city. After this event, they got a room at a motel and checked in using fake names — nobody knew who they were. Later happenings showed it was just about driving around with no clear destination or plan; they had aimed to disappear like ghosts in the city (they did not want others to know them). After the event finished, we took a room at a hotel/motel place. For check-in, we used fake names to sign in so nobody would know our real identity -- all stayed hidden from people before this happened.

They dropped onto the beds, experiencing both exhaustion and sharp awareness together. The circumstances were serious. Thorne was drawing near, and it seemed their time was almost up. Feeling extremely exhausted, they fall onto beds and understand the serious trouble they are facing. Time is almost finished for Thorne and people lying on beds, very tired but still watching because everything is very important. Thorne ran away, time was nearly gone for them.

"We must prepare a plan," Dapo's voice showed strong resolve. "A plan for the final solution."

Eki says, "We have to find the mistake Thorne makes - some exact thing we use against him."

The information gathered in recent days was looked at very carefully. The team searched for any clue or weak point within Thorne's empire, much like finding a needle in a haystack. But their determination carried them forward.

At this moment, when they almost gave up hope, one email came. It was from a person who wanted to stay unknown, and inside it had only one thing: the location.

Eki and Dapo looked at each other, their eyes showing hope. Could it be that the moment they have been waiting for is finally here? The place, as said before far away, seemed like an old storage area at the city's border. It looked similar to those spots where they met Thorne's men earlier.

Not sure, but maybe we should do this. Maybe we can only defeat Thorne if we know what will happen next.

They are getting ready for what will happen, feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement. The journey continues, starting the final fight.
