She looked up at Ascian as he placed her on the sofa. Then she saw he was looking at her too, he just smiled at her and walked towards Ahren who didn't even realise that his momma came. She watched as Ascian walked towards Ahren and picked him up as if he was a feather with no weight.
Then he immediately wrapped his little arms around Ascian's neck and buried his face against his shoulder making her heart tightened. Her eyes turned moist and she watched them. Emotions surged into her mind and she just looked away from them. She felt Ahren was happy because of the way he buried his face against Ascian's shoulder.
"Momma…"
She looked at him and smiled, there was a big bright smile on his face after seeing her. Then Ascian gave him to her and she immediately hugged her son. She missed him, she really missed him for days. She kissed his forehead and patted his back.
"Momma, are you okay now?"
She heard him talking to her with his cute voice. She looked at him and kissed his cheek with a smile then nodded at him. How can she say that she's not okay? He was looking at her with a smile and she didn't have the heart to lie to him.
"Momma is okay now, what did you do these days?"
She cuddled him and asked while listening to his sweet giggles. Then he shyly looked at her and kissed her cheek with a smile.
"I played with daddy all the day"
She clenched her jaws as she heard him. She looked at the man who was looking at her. She couldn't understand why he was doing that. She couldn't believe what her son said. He played with his son all day?
Without going to work? Or going anywhere he wanted? She moved her eyes from him and smiled at Ahren. Then she nodded at him and kissed his cheek.
"You like it here more than our home?" she asked.
Then Ahren immediately nodded at her and looked at Ascian. Then he raised his arms, asking Ascian to pick him up. As he picked him up she looked at them. They look so similar, the same emerald eyes and the same black hair. Ahren had inherited every feature from Ascian. He has nothing like her.
"I like it here momma, I like daddy. See, he's so strong"
He answered her while moving on Ascian's arm, wanting to show that his daddy was so strong. She was helpless and hurt. She didn't want to be with the man once who hurt her but now she cannot leave him too because her son was already attracted to his daddy.
"These things are yours and you can stay here for the rest of your life"
She subconsciously looked at Ascian who just spoke. He was kissing Ahren's head and then he looked at her and raised his brows with a small smile on his lips. She knew he was doing it purposely and he's making her not to leave him using her own son.
She felt angry and she didn't want him to use his son just to keep her with him. Looking away from his eyes, she clutched her dress tightly not knowing what to do. She can't think that her future would be so good because she cannot believe him.
What will happen if he gets tired of her and finds another woman? A man like him shouldn't be trusted. No one knows what's in his mind and what's his next plan. That's why everyone was scared of Ascian Lucas. He acts normal in a minute and in the next minute he becomes an angry beast.
She had heard about things Ascian had done in the past so she had reasons to be scared. She doesn't want to see her son suffering or getting hurt by his actions. She looked at Ascian and parted her lips wanting to say something but she couldn't because his beta barged into the house.
"Alpha.. We have a problem"
Ascian looked at him for a while and then looked at Ahren in his arms. With a kiss to his forehead, he gave him back to her and kissed her forehead too. Then he looked at her and spoke.
"I'll come soon, now you have no reason to run away so you better act normally"
There was a little warning in his remark and she nodded at him. Then he turned and left. As he walked out of the house, she sighed and caressed Ahren's hair. Even though she didn't have a reason to run away, he had just simply made her can't leave him by making her legs like this.
So he had won and she cannot run away anytime soon. And with Ahren she really cannot leave him. Instead of trying to leave him she decided to be with him and face the future no matter what happened and how hurt she will get.
But she had one thing in her mind and it was not to love him so much and keep her distance with him because she was someone who cannot live with the pain. She knew if he hurt her again she won't be able to live because her current condition was just worse.
Without her wolf and without her strength she cannot do anything and also, she cannot get healed. Lowering her head she looked at her legs. Her eyes turned moist seeing them. If her wolf was there, she would not even have a scar because her wolf could heal her in a few minutes.
"Momma, why didn't daddy come to visit us?"
She was pulled back from her thoughts by her little son's voice. Then she looked at him and kissed his forehead with a smile. She didn't know how to answer his question.
"Did you ask daddy?" She asked him.
Then he shook his head and looked at her with his big bright eyes. Then played with her long hair.
"Baby you should ask this from daddy, when he's back okay?"
She smiled at him and said. She didn't want to lie to her son and Ascian should be the one who answered Ahren's all questions because everything happened because of him. He did a terrible thing in the past and if he didn't do that she would have given birth to Ahren while she was with Ascian.
Then there will not be any hard questions for anyone. Then she saw Ascian coming into the house and there was a blood patch on the side of his neck. Her heart shook violently seeing him like that. He looked into her eyes and then his eyes fell on Ahren.
"Daddy… you're back"
