Chapter 233 WOMEN IN MY LIFE

ANDREW POV:

Ahh…

It hurts like hell when I try to fist my hand and open it, F**k, I look down at the back of my hand that has a visible tooth mark with a little blood smear around it.

Wild Cat Tessy.

I don't understand what got into her just now, she terrifies me and somehow I am glad that she didn't lash her anger at kids or someone else but me, I can take this much. I am strong.

"F**k."

I, unknowingly, close my fist again and the terrible pain lets me know that I am not that much strong.

Also, it's my right hand so it would be difficult for me to work with it now without anyone knowing what had happened to me.

Down, I meet the kids, kiss them goodbye and then leave for work. Today, casual attire will work unless Lillian has not scheduled any unannounced meeting for me.

"Are you ok?" Lillian asks, her gaze roaming around my attire quite quizzically.

"No, I need a bandage and something to wipe this clean," I tell Lillian while raising my right hand and her pupils widen in shock as she subconsciously strides inside my office and then holds my hand to examine.

"Who has done this? And that too…" She stops looking anxious, "So brutally." She concludes with a look of anger on her face. "Who did it?" She demands.

"No one." I try to shrug away but she holds my hand in a firm grip not allowing me to pull back.

"Who?" She questions again, demanding as usual.

"Tessa," I reveal finally and she freezes for a moment from the shock and recovers after a moment. "Why did she do that? You just saved her last night, no?"

Well, bluntly, I saved her from my own sister's evil deed actually but I don't say it out loud.

"Her anger is justified," I tell her and she shrugs completely unconvinced by my words.

We stare into each other's eyes silently, she knows I am not going to say anything more, thus, she silently retreats herself.

"You should wash this first with mild soap." She advises before leaving my office.

BOOM

Taking a deep breath, I walk to the washroom and wash my hands. When the water touches my skin it instantly starts to burn the little marks Tessa has given me.

Great, I shouldn't have listened to Lillian.

These women are all in my life to make me suffer.

Fuming in anger, I walk out of the washroom and find Lillian outside waiting for me, "What's wrong?" She asks when she looks at my gloomy face and the way I keep jerking my hand continuously because of the burning feeling.

"It's hurting like a bitch." I groan as I slam my ass on the chair and give her a hard glare.

"What?" She gives me a confused look and then walks over to bandage my multiple tiny wounds and I frown when she applies something that increases the stinging sensation and I curse under my breath.

"Patience Andrew." Lillian's voice comes over and I close my eyes trying to restrain my emotions.

Oh, Tessa, You're so lucky that we are not on good terms otherwise I would have given you teeth marks at the place that would always remind you about me whenever you move.

My anger seems to subside and my lust arises, imagining Tessa naked under me, no, in that sexy golden dress she had worn at the party that would do, or perhaps anything that's golden. A night dress, a bodysuit, or something more playful, seductive. That color suits her, her skin comes out fairly with that color, and she looks enchanting.

But I am sure without clothes it would be more alluring.

"Done."

Lillian's voice disrupts my thoughts and I shift in my seat feeling embarrassed.

"What happened?" Lillian asks in concern and I fake an excuse wanting her to leave as soon as she can while my groin starts to get hard.

F**k, no.

Lillian leaves and thankfully, she was unable to notice the sudden bulge in my pants which would be a huge embarrassment for me at the moment.

After lunchtime, when I was still engulfed with the workload I received a surprise call from Cyril's attending doctor.

I pick up his call and get tense when he informs me about Cyril's health. Already there is too much chaos in the mansion and now Cyril's bad news. My throat gets dry from worry and I am unable to respond correctly to him.

Anyhow, I manage to finish the call with good pleasant goodbyes but my mood isn't pleasant at all.

First, Ann's doing then Tessa's anger on me, and now God's actions, what should I be doing now?

Today, I wasn't in the mood to leave the office and neither did Lillian seem to mind staying longer with me in the office.

"You should go back home," I say to Lillian.

"Are you also leaving?" She asks.

"No." I refuse bluntly.

"So then I am also staying." She says stubbornly and I grunt with unhappiness.

"Lillian, you will get nothing by staying, leave," I order her in a serious tone but she looks completely unmoved by my command.

"Yeah, right, so let's go for dinner then," Lillian says excitedly and I roll my eyes disinterestedly.

And before I would be denying her offer, she held my hand and pulled me out of my seat where my ass had been resting for the whole day comfortably.

This woman…

"So, what is it?" Lillian pokes me again with her chopstick and in return, I knock down her one chopstick with mine.

BAM

"Another pair of chopsticks, please." Shamelessly, Lillian ordered the fifth pair of chopsticks while I glared at her coldly.

"You're not going to back up." I query and she shakes her head with determination and a little smile that seems too cheeky to me.

"Fine." I snarl and immediately sober up when the waiter arrives with another pair of chopsticks.

"So, Cyril isn't getting better," I tell her and her mouth opens. I know she is going to stay, "He will get better, hopefully." as I cut her off briskly, "And he won't be going to get better. This is it."

"Woah… What's got into you." She squeals and only then I have realized that I have fisted my left hand and hit the table with the force which makes a few things move from their place and even our drinks get spilled.

Very Well…

You're losing yourself, control Andrew Jack. Control.

I take a few deep breaths and then again begin, "So, the doctor called today."

"Doctor?" Lillian interrupts and I growl, "The doctor who is treating Cyril."

"Oh.." She gives me a knowing nod.

"Now, don't interrupt me." I tell her with a poker face and then continue, "So, when I last visited him, Cyril, I mean, he had asked for Tessa, and I had promised him that I will bring Tessa this time with me."

"So, what's the issue here?" Lillian asks, confused.

"Huh…" A deep frustrated sigh leaves my lips and I start to explain.

"First, Tessa is never going to believe me.

Second, she won't leave Cyrus alone.

Third, I can't take both kids with us because of Aaron's health.

Fourth, even if I would be able to bring kids with me, Tessa would still not listen.

And Fifth, I am not even sure if she still wants to be in touch with her parents after what they did to her."

I finish my listing and realize that Lillian is engulfed in her food. Wow, she was eager to see me making myself a fool.

"Enjoying the food?" I ask her sarcastically while with my chopsticks I brutally dig again into my food.

AHEM … AHEM …

Lillian coughs trying to hide her embarrassment, oh really. I sneer in response.

"You're exaggerating the things, Tessa is the kind of girl who gives love to others and is humble towards others. I don't think she will refuse you at all. Just talk to her in a proper way." She says and I question offensively, "What proper way?"

"Uhmm, I mean, talk, don't command, don't make a plea, just talk." She explains and unknowingly I find myself nodding in agreement.

What the…

By the time I return to the mansion, it already has gotten very late, and as I check on the kids, I remember that Aaron has a visit tomorrow, and hopefully the reports have come by now.

I look at Tessa's door, it's quiet which means she must be asleep.

There were days before when she would always wait for me, and my slight movement would make her awake and she would happily accompany me. I still remember when she would cook for me at midnight without any complaining and even watched me with a sweet smile on her face until I finish the food and take her bed to the bed in my arms.

We would sleep, cuddle, talk, laugh, and make love, we had so many blissful memories to remember yet some harsh truths that destroys our little happiness.

Haah… I miss that glorious time with my Tessy and it's heartbreaking to know that this time will never return to us.

Never Ever.

Sighing in disappointment, I make my way to my room, again back to my loneliness, but at least now, I have a peaceful feeling that Tessa and Cyrus are sleeping under the same roof as me, I am not away from seeing them. We are close, we are a family.
