Chapter 223 WHERE ARE YOU?
1625words
It's my third day here in San Diego, and finally, Ann has reached me through the phone informing me about the little rebellious act of Tessa. I must say this woman has got some guts now.
Ann sounds pissed, she should be. What Tessa will get by not letting the kids have dinner with Ann? I don't understand this woman's way of thinking at all.
She could leave her kids alone at home with the nannies but won't let Ann have dinner with them.
Puff…
I am pissed at this woman, but I can't do anything to her, what right do I have on her, after all? Only a paper can't join us together like this.
Sigh.
I try to calm Ann, I will talk to Tessa once I return home. She has to let Ann stay with the kids. After all, she is my sister and she has taken care of Aaron with me all these years.

"Have you slept well?" Tessa's mother asks as soon as I step into the ward with the bag of fruits and some daily necessities.
"Yes, thank you very much for buying me these clothes." I thank her politely and she gives me a warm smile. "Oh, dear, Andrew, what you have done for us these clothes are nothing in comparison to it."
"Oh, please. If Tessa would be here, she would do the same for you. After all, we are a family," I tell her sincerely and her eyes welled up with tears emotionally, I know she misses Tessa a lot.
"Is there any trace of her?" She asks with hope and I shake my head, betraying her trust.
"Cyril is doing fine now. You can leave, Sir Andrew." Tessa's father, as usual, stands up in attention when he sees me approaching.
"I don't…" I was supposed to refuse him when Cyril interrupts from behind him, "I am completely fine, please go back to Aaron, he must be missing you." Cyril says with concern and I smile warmly at him.
"As you command, Sir." I salute like a soldier and he laughs out loud, his laugh pleasant to my ears and his parents.
I talk with him for a while and then ask Ron to book my flight back. I stay in the hospital until all the preparation has been done for my departure.
"I'll see you soon, then." I pat Cyril's shoulder and he suddenly holds my hand looking impassive, "Don't forget my promise." He reminds me and I nod affirmatively.
He let go of my hand, his eyes beaming with unsaid joy waiting for his sister to show up soon to him.
Sigh…
I bid goodbye to Tessa's parents and then leave the hospital, straight to the airport.
****
It was past 4 in Denver when I finally touch the ground and step out of the airport calmly with no luggage at all. Ron stands at the door greeting me politely.
"Take me home," I command as he drives away from the airport and I lean back to rest, closing my eyes. After a while when I open my eyes, I am awake and refreshed, I look outside and then glance at Ron who is driving with a straight face, he looks tense.
"Ron?" I call him out and he looks at me from the rearview mirror.
"Did something happen in my absence?" I ask, narrowing my eyes.
"Uhmm… I have taken some pictures…" He pauses, his face turning pale, "Of Miss…" He completes his sentence and then takes out an envelope from the dashboard.
"Here." He hands me the envelope and I take it. I look at it curiously and then at Ron who looks weird to me.
I finally tear the top of the envelope and take out the pictures, instantly, my heart rate accelerates and the fury in my heart begins to raise massively.
"Are they?" I raise my brow, and before I am able to complete my words Ron immediately answers back, "It was just a lunch, Sir."
"Lunch…" I growl and Ron flinches from the loud tone of my voice.
"Why didn't you beat the shit out of this brat?" I question him furiously and he gulps nervously as he answers in a low voice, "You had asked me to keep an eye from a distance, Sir."
Well made point.
I sigh aggressively, my blood starts to boil as I stare at their pictures, Tessa's hand in his. F**k… F**K…
Where did she meet this MF Aiden? Is now she started to get interested in him? Is she forgetting that she is still my legal wife? Perhaps I should remind her of that.
"When did they meet?" I ask Ron.
"Yesterday…" He replies and Cyrus's words ring in my head, so that is the reason why Tessa left the mansion yesterday. It wasn't working but her old friend's meeting.
Is their love has started to bloom?
No... No..
Tessa doesn't love him but that Moron, he does have something for her. I am damn sure about this.
Hah…
A look of disdain covers my face, I need to find Tessa, now.
I jump out of the car before Ron is able to open the door for me and I storm inside the mansion with lava brewing inside my chest, my gaze sharps looking for only one person who is nowhere to be seen.
Ignoring Miss Celine's polite greeting, I step into the elevator and then march straight to Tessa's room.
BOOM
With a loud thud, I open the door of her room to find it empty and clean.
What the…?
I walk towards the kid's room, she must be there but I get completely surprised when the kid's room is also empty.
Have they all gone out for some picnic or spending some quality family time without me?
I start to get sad and my anger subsides a little as I march back to the ground floor and meet Miss Celine, "Where are Tessa and the kids?" I question straight.
"Oh, kids are down in the pool. And Miss…" I didn't let her complete her sentence as I made my way towards the stairs and descending them I quickly reach the pool area.
I can hear Aaron's and Cyrus's voices and a few feminine voices as I enter, I scan the place, and shockingly I don't see my wife at all.
Aaron and Cyrus are accompanied by Selina and their swimming teacher.
Where the hell is Tessa?
The kids look at me and rush to me excitedly.
"Woah, slow down, boys." I hold them both in unison and stable them, their clothes wet and their bodies flushed from the water.
"Daddy, I miss you." Aaron hugs me tightly as I squeeze him tight with a kiss on his forehead.
"Do you miss me, Cyrus?" I ask Cyrus and he nods shyly.
"Good boy." I kiss his forehead too with love.
"Where is your Mommy?" I ask them both, feeling curious.
"Mommy has gone out for work Daddy," Aaron speaks first and I frown unhappily, again work. What kind of work?
"Daddy, please don't scold Mommy anymore. I have forgiven her." Cyrus tells me worriedly and I look at him in complete silence.
I, scold his mother? Huh, doesn't he know how dangerous his mother is?
I suppress the urge to roll my eyes and then pick them both in my arms as I take them back to their room and Seline follows me behind closely. I talk with the kids on my way and realize that I have forgotten to bring any gifts for them from my trip.
On my all business trip, I would have always brought something for Aaron, but this trip wasn't business, and neither I was prepared for that actually.
I apologize to both sincerely and then start pressing my mind to think about a way to make up for my mistake this time.
After changing my clothes, I go down to look for Miss Celine, perhaps she would know about Tessa but before I reach the kitchen, I bump into Ann.
"Andrew, you're back." She exclaims in disbelief.
"Just returned, Ann." I politely inform her.
"Great, we have a ball to attend tonight. Go and get ready hurriedly. We are going to leave in an hour." Ann commands and my brow starts to furrow in distress.
"An hour?" I raise my brow.
"Yes, now go and get ready. We'll have dinner there." Ann instructs as she disappears from my sight quickly into the elevator.
I let out a deep frustrated sigh, I don't like these social gatherings at all, and what about kids? Am I not going to have dinner with them tonight?
With a dull face, I enter the kitchen completely forgetting about my mission of finding Miss Celine in the first place.
"Tea?" Miss Celine asks.
"Coffee, please," I tell her.
"I have prepared chicken nuggets for kids. Would you like to have some?" She asks politely.
"Uhmm, yes, please bring my coffee and nuggets to the kid's room," I order.
Aaron and Cyrus were troubling Seline when I enter their room and help her out, soon Miss Celine comes over with the tray of Nuggets and my coffee. I offer Seline to join us but she looks distant and cold.
I wonder what happened to her suddenly and remembering the event, I ask her to leave early. And before I am able to offer her a ride she quickly refuses me beforehand.
Quite weird.
I look at her weirdness with a blank idea of what happened to her, and then stare at the clock that shows strikes 7, a worry raises in my heart.
Where are you, Tessa Will?
