Chapter 207 FEAR OF HIS MOTHER

1708words
ANDREW POV:

"Are you still angry with Daddy, Cyrus?" I ask Cyrus in a sweet tone as he sits beside me inside the car extremely quietly. He tilts his head towards me, fiddling with his fingers, and then his long lashes raise as he looks at me with his deep blue eyes giving me a hint of his mother's sadness.

"I shouldn't have left, Mommy." He says regretfully and makes a small crying face.

Oh, so that's the thing.

I thought he was happy to come with me but no, as soon as Tessa gets out of his sight, he starts to get bothered by her disappearance.

"It's ok, Mommy needs to take care of your brother, too, hmm..." I pull him to sit on my lap and try to soothe him but he looks remorseful about his decision of coming with me.

Oh no, this isn't going well.

"Which toy you would like to buy, huh? Should I take you to the toy store, first?" I tell him to lift his spirit and as I had expected he finally looks up at me from his long lashes, "Cars... I want the remote control car." He says excitedly, his eyes glittering with happiness.

"Ok, it's a car, then. Ron, take us to the toy shop, first, please." I order Ron as I hug Cyrus in my arms happily. Thank Lord, it wasn't hard to handle him.

****

"Cyrus, enough. We need to leave now." I say with a stern face, it's been more than an hour, and he keeps buying toys one after another, this boy doesn't know when to stop, and neither his desires get full.

I am surprised by his attitude, I don't know Tessa has spoiled him to the extent of all limits.

I remember Aaron walking in here and buying just a few toys that he liked, not a single extra toy but when I look at Cyrus he looks completely opposite of Aaron not with his health but his attitude is also way too opposite to Aaron's.

"That one, I want that one, too." He points at the giant robot on the display and I had had enough of him as I refuse immediately.

"No, Cyrus, we are leaving."

BOOM

Just as I refuse him, he throws a toy on the floor angrily that he had been holding all the time and then rush out of the store.

What the hell?

So much disobedience.

The veins on my forehead start to prickle my skin and I am on the verge to burst out on Cyrus when Selina pulls me back on the time.

"I'll look for him, Sir. Don't worry." And just by that, she disappears from my sight following Cyrus outside.

I take a deep breath to calm my anger and as I look around I realize that many people have seen Cyrus disrespecting me. Aaron never dares to deny me or misbehave with me like this.

Instead of my anger subsiding, I feel like I have started to burn in rage, and just then a bottle of water was placed in front of me.

"Have some, sir," Ron says respectfully.

I look at him with seriousness and then finally taking the bottle from his hand I gulp down half of it.

"This boy needs to be disciplined," I mutter in frustration.

"He is too young, sir. And, also he didn't have any luxurious life like his bother." Ron states and I frown.

"The manners should be learned by his mother's behavior, not by money." I disagree.

"As I said, he is still too young, Sir. You have to be patient with him." He advises and my frown gets deeper.

Patience...

Aaron has never made single parenting difficult for me but this little man, he is going to make my life tough, for sure.

Sigh...

I ask Ron to get all the toys he had asked for including that Giant Robot on the display and then walk out to look for him but as I step out of the shop I see Selina walking back to me with Cyrus beside her.

"I found him." She smiles politely and I nod in response while my eyes stay fixed on Cyrus.

Selina nudges his arm and then finally he mutters out a low apology, "I am sorry, Dad."

My gaze softens on him and his apology immediately soothes my burning heart. I crouch down and then hold his shoulder so that he would look at me, "Cyrus, it's not that I can't buy these things for you. But, you have to value time and things. You shouldn't have thrown that toy. Do you know how people look at you when you did that? Do you think your mother will appreciate your this behavior?" I intentionally take Tessa's name wanting to see if he fears her or not?

He immediately looks up at me, his face getting pale at the mention of his mother. Great, so he does fear his mother, at least.

"Please, don't tell Mommy, Dad. I will be a good boy next time." He says frightenedly.

"Will you?" I raise a brow at him in doubt.

"Yes, I will." He says confidently, puffing out his little chest and straightening his little shoulder.

I smile at his childish behavior and there Ron steps out from behind me with the bags in his hands. "So, here's your reward for accepting your mistake," I tell Cyrus as I hand him the Giant Robot and he beams with joy.

"Thank you, Dad." He hugs me warmly and then kisses my cheek. I look at him stunned but his gestures warm my heart.

"Come, let's get your clothes." I pick him up and then we head to the clothing store.

Selina is the one in charge of Cyrus's clothing while I just watch them quietly and then my gaze falls on the other store that has women's clothing and subconsciously I make my way towards it.

"Can I help you with something?" A woman walks over to me and asks politely.

"Uhmm... I am looking for the nightdress, the silk, satin one. I guess." I tell her hesitantly and with a welcoming smile, she leads me the way.

There are many nightdresses, many designs, and colors but I look for the only one that Tessa used to wear with me. At that time, her clothes were selected by Ann so I have no idea from where she got them, and neither I am going to ask her about them.

I don't think she has brought enough clothes for herself, as after taking dozens of nightdresses for her I start looking for dresses for her with some vibrant colors. Her personality would look more bright in color. I even pick a few sets of jeans for her and the T-shirts and a few formal shirts too. She has been wearing Jean and T-shirt since she returned from Chicago and I guess her preference for dresses has changed now.

Or maybe it's just Ann who forced her to blend with us by molding herself in a way she wanted her to be.

Now, the time for her lingerie but in that section, I stop hesitantly, is it a good idea to buy her these? What if she...?

But she needs clothes and also, she is still my legal wife and I think as her husband I have the right to buy her whatever I want.

I try to give my heart valid excuses so that I won't be feeling ashamed and hesitant by choosing all the sexy lingerie that I wanted her to be in.

A little satisfaction of my horny dreams for my wife.

"Are you buying something?" Selina's low voice startles me and I look at her in surprise.

"Yes, a few things for my wife," I tell her and her face falls suddenly.

"Your wife?" She looks at me puzzled.

"Yes, Cyrus's mother, Tessa is my wife." I explain and her pupils dilated, "Oh, so you were separated all this time but still married?" She prompts and I nod my head.

"So, her return means the things would settle soon between you two?" She asks curiously.

"I have no idea about it," I tell her feeling lost.

Ann hasn't met Cyrus and Tessa yet and I don't know what would be the outcome when she will see Tessa in the mansion beside Tessa had already asked for the divorce and then Cyrus's sole custody. Too many f**ked up things but this is not the moment to raise the panic in my heart for all these distressful thoughts.

After we are done with toys and clothes. We head for the food court, after all, Cyrus would never let go of food.

By the time, we return mansion, it's past 5 ' o'clock which means we have missed lunch but we had eaten outside so we are not hungry at all.

Ron and Selina carry all the bags and even other servants come over to help them while I stride in with Cyrus. He is pleasantly heavy but I like carrying him in my arms, he is like a small teddy bear and I truly admire his cuteness.

I didn't realize when he falls asleep in my arms but as I step into the living room furious Tessa stormed toward me and snatch Cyrus away from my hold.

BOOM

"He is sleeping." I hiss trying to pull him back in my arms but Tessa stubbornly pulls him towards her and just like that she's off to the elevator.

DING

I roll my eyes at her stubborn behavior, what's her problem for f**king sake?

"Sir," Miss Celine comes over to me and then informs, "Miss has been waiting for Cyrus for a long time. She even missed her lunch and now dinner," She turns and looks at the elevator's door meaningfully.

I nod my head with a gloomy face.

So what If I had not informed her about our late arrival, she should have trusted on me a little? No?

Where am I going to flee with my own son, huh?

Her actions are getting more illogical and stupid with each passing hour of her stay in this house.
