"If you promise me to keep it to yourself only," I tell Tessa's father cautiously and he seems to be lost in thought and then nods after a while making a silent promise to me and then finally I begin to tell him the truth.
His pupils widened in complete shock and surprise. Yeah, he must have thought that I would never be able to do something under Ann's nose but here I am successfully hiding my love and son from Ann for the whole three years.
Amusing, right?
"Thank you for saving her." He thanks me with gratitude and I see his eyes getting red in grief.
Oh Man, we don't have the time for the emotional damage at this moment, Ann would be arriving here at any moment to trouble them all and before that, they all need to leave.
"Please, listen to me and leave quickly," I tell her father meaningfully while placing the tickets in his palm.
"Okay."
Finally, he agreed and in just an hour, all three were ready to leave the house.
Tessa's mother hands me the home keys and then says emotionally, "I don't know what to say to you but if Tessa ever returns, tell her that we are sorry and if she could forgive us. Her father did all those things to save our child. Please, tell her that we love her very much and are ashamed of what her father had done to her."
Her mother sobs lightly and with a sad smile, she wipes her tears and then sits inside the car. I bid them all three goodbyes and hope for their good future ahead where they will be forgiven by Tessa and allowed to see her twins together.
After sending them three to the airport with Ron, I headed to the mansion and the first thing I did after entering my room was to keep their home key safe with Tessa's wedding ring in my mother's jewelry box.

"Aaron, dear, why are you not eating?" Ann asks Aaron at the breakfast table, he is paler and weak. This chemotherapy isn't making him better but worsening his condition. It's too painful for such a small child like him but my son is very courageous and he bears all the pain without any complaints.
He even eats his diet food without complaining, such an adorable boy.
His obedience reminds me of his mother, she also used to be an obedient wife to me, loving and caring too.
"Why does daddy call you Ann but not Honey?" Aaron asks a silly question making me and Ann stunned in unison.
"She is my sister, Aaron and we don't call sisters as "Honey", I explain to him, "And besides Honey is for eating. Do you think I can eat Ann?" I joke faking a monster roar and he chuckles at my attempt.
That's my lively boy.
His smile literally blooms my empty heart with thousands of flowers.
"Where is my mother then, daddy?" Aaron turned to me and asked innocently. His eyes give me a strong vibe of his mother's resemblance to him.
"I am here, Aaron." Before I am able to explain anything to him Ann interrupts us both. Since Aaron started talking, he has been addressing Ann as his mother and me as his daddy.
I never object to it because it makes Ann happy and I don't want to ruin her happiness again but this day Aaron starts questioning about his real mother and it's quite unbelievable.
"No, you are Ann, not my mother. Where is my mother?" He asks stubbornly to Ann, making my scalp prickles from worry. I watch Ann's expression change and her face starts to fall looking hurt and depressed.
Aaron, stop pressing on this topic.
"Does Aaron want chocolate? Come, Daddy will give you a chocolate." I try to change the subject wisely and then pick Aaron's small body in my arms quickly before he could ask any further questions to Ann, making her more depressed.
I bring him to the kitchen and then place him gently on the kitchen counter, I take out the chocolate from the shelf and then hand him one.
"Listen, Aaron, next time you will not mention your mother in front of Ann," I tell him and he looks at me blankly, blinking his small eyes at me in confusion.
"Why, daddy?" He asks.
"Aaron, your mother isn't here. Now, Ann is your mother." I try to make him understand but he stays stubborn on this topic. I don't understand what has gotten into him today? Why is he being so stubborn and throwing tantrums?
"I want my mother," He demand while throwing the chocolate away and I looked at him in complete shock. He angrily gets down from the counter with his eyes filled with tears and then storms towards the elevator wanting to go back to his room.
"Aaron." I rush after him but he has already got into the elevator and gone from my sight.
I know Selina and Miss Martha would take care of his bad mood but what about mine? He has just added to my worries.
A stressful sigh escapes from my mouth.
"I know this time will come one day," Ann says from behind me and I turn to her in distress.
"He's just a kid, Ann. He doesn't know what he is saying." I try to convince Ann but no, Ann looks very much hurt by Aaron's words. The way he stopped addressing her as his mother.
She looks at me with sorrow in her eyes, "I know I would never be enough for him. But, I am trying to give him all the happiness."
"I know Ann, I know." I embrace her in my arms in defense. She looks broken and my heart twitches in grief while looking at the grief in her innocent eyes.
"We'll make him understand. Don't worry. Next week is Christmas, should we start to prepare for the day?" I ask her to cheer her mood and then take her out with me shopping so that her mind would stay distracted from Aaron's words.

"Who put this thing in his mind?" I question Selina furiously and she shrinks from fear.
"I… I have no idea, sir. We were just watching a cartoon and he asked me why the man is calling the lady "Honey"? I told him it's because she's his wife and the mother of his children… I didn't mean to say anything that would go against Miss Swan." She says in a low frightened voice and looking at her small frightened face, my anger gradually subsides.
"You better fix this up, Selina. He has started to demand something that he shouldn't." I tell her strictly and she gulps while nodding her head positively.
"I will try my best, Sir." She says respectfully and then I drive her back to her place.
"What is it?" I ask her irritatedly as she keeps fidgeting with her fingers since she has been seated inside the car.
"Please don't be angry but…" She bites her lips nervously and then continues hesitantly, "Where is Aaron's mother? He has been too sick. She should be accompanying him or God Forbid, she has left this world."
She says foolishly and my hand tightens on the steering wheel, she was close to death when she delivered my boys. That memory makes my heart start to sulk in distress.
"I am sorry If I have misspoken. I apologize." She apologized quickly after noticing my face getting gloomy but I didn't respond to her at all.
I know if I open my mouth at this moment I would only say the words that would make me feel remorseful later. So, it's better to stay with tight lips.
After I drop her off, I head back to the mansion and instead of going to my room I head towards Aaron's room but halter my steps when I find Ann sitting on his bed.
"So, what is it that Aaron is going to ask from Santa?" Ann asks him curiously and he hides his smirk while saying, "It's a secret." In a sweet melody.
Thankfully, they have moved on from his mother's topic.
"Oh… A secret…" Ann says in a childish tone and Aaron giggles playfully.
Uh… Uh…
"At least give me a clue," Ann prompts.
"No, it would be a surprise," Aaron says while shaking his head and Ann fakes a sigh. She then puts Aaron back to sleep as I watch them both with affectionate eyes. It's a rare sight to see Ann so happy, calm, and peaceful.
Aaron has filled her life with many grateful blessings. I am glad that Tessa has delivered twins, giving us both a precious blessing to thank God continually.
While walking back to my room, an idea popped into my mind and my lips curled up into a smile.
This Christmas Santa would surely grant his wish whatever it would be.
