"I don't know what turns me on more, the sound of you singing in the shower, or the suspense of waiting for you to get out here with the towel around your waist water dripping from your hair" Brady lays in my bed as I walk back into my room from the bathroom.

Shutting my bedroom door "I'm sure my mom heard all of that"

"Good! Why aren't you ready yet? We have to go quick so I can make it back, Mick is going out of town tonight"

"It's only been like 40 minutes Brady! And don't rush me for Mick, pot can wait!"

"I'm gonna go hang out with Natalie" he gets up from the bed "she's more fun that you" he opens the door to leave

" you take that back!" I yell in shock "No!" He quickly leaves.

After taking my sweet time to get dress, I join them in the living room almost an hour later "oh my

god Brady what are you doing sitting there?! We're gonna be late" I smile He stands up "are you kidding me? I told you let's go an hour ago!"

"Then lets go. Mom where are the keys?" "Hallway table, you guys have fun"

Natalie adds "yeah and try not to make out!" Mom yells at her as I grab the keys and we walk to the door.

Pulling out of the drive way "you know no one's gonna be there yet right?"

"You said you just wanted to go to say you were there, so we're going to Finnegan's and if anybody asks on Monday you can say yeah Brady and I was there"

"I don't like you."

As I'm driving I hear Brady chuckling next to me and I quickly glance at him giving him a weird look "sorry I just remembered your mom

from earlier she's so funny. You know she refuses to see us as a thing?" "What do you mean? We're not a thing"

"Seriously?"

"Listen when we get there tonight maybe leave the board in the car, we don't want another oops don't blame the board blame me accident again do we?" I change the subject. We never get invited places anymore because Brady would always bring the stupid skateboard and forget it on the floor causing someone to fall, then say oops don't blame the board blame me.

"I'll leave the board inside" "Thank you" I smile.

We get closer to Finnegan's "can you pull over for a sec I need to ask you something?"

"Ask me now, I don't have to pull over"

"No I need your full attention, just pull over for one minute"

"Fine Brady fine" I pull over at the side of the road "what's up?" I try to not act annoyed "Why are you so much like your mother?"

I scoff "excuse me? That's a dumb question"

"No it's not Jo, just like your mother you refuse to admit that I'm your boyfriend! We practically do everything together but if somebody

were to ever say anything, you'd either deny or change the subject, just like your mother!" "You know what this is good! Let's waste time now so we won't be too early"

"See the Jojo I know would of course change the subject to avoid acts of commitment." I don't reply "what happens in a few months? After we graduate, when we get to college? Are you gonna say to people hey I'm Jo I think I'm single but ask my boyfriend Brady?"

We sit in the car quietly for a minute or two. I finally open my mouth to say something "you can't be my boyfriend Brady" that comes out a tad softer than I was expecting.

Turning to me Brady unbuckles his seatbelt he pulls my face towards his, leaning forward he kisses me. This kiss wasn't like the other ones we've shared, it felt like a reminder. His lips against mines feels differently the same if that even make sense, his fingers along side of my face and my hair gives me chills. Pulling his lips away from mine he replies "it's too late for that." He sits back in his seat "Jo you and I are together even if you're ready to admit it or not."

"We're not gonna make it to Finnegan's are we?" He laughs "no, we're not."

Taking the wheel in my hands "fine then you're buying me pizza, and you're gonna agree the next

time I say we're hanging out with everybody" "Done" I pull away.

Turning to look at Brady I see him staring at me smiling "what?" "I guess you are my girlfriend after all"

"Shut up weird loser."
