Chapter 128

Golden's POV.

My main goal is to find the fluntuela plant. It looks like a mushroom with white spots on the sides. I will start to have a nasal deep voice if it's near me. That's not hard to find.

I scanned around the place. There are different plants in here too. Black and gray are their main colors. Some look like spiders and scary insects. My eyes grew big when I see one plant moving like a snake. Will it bite like an actual snake?

"Keep going, Golden. Those plants have no capability to hurt as long as you don't touch them," Damon said from afar. He's still on the other hall guarding. I swiftly glanced at him and back to the creepy looking plants before me. "Don't forget to wear the protective gloves I gave you," he reminded. I quickly grabbed the said protector in my bag before I even forget about wearing it.

"These plants are a lot they're confusing me," I mumbled to myself while staring at the dangerous plants.

They are not aligned uniformly. They're just spread everywhere like a little forest. I carefully listen to the sound the plants are making. "Skwiiiiii! Skwiiiii!" a long circular flower chirped scandalously catching my full attention.

It's screaming so loudly. Wizardus will start to hear if it don't stop.

"I think the Hunibee flower heard you. Don't mind it and just keep going. It will not stop not until you ignore it." I followed Josh's advice and went straight to the mushroom-like plant I saw. When I checked for white spots it has nothing. "Is that what we're looking for?"

"N—No! It doesn't have the white spots," I replied in a loud voice. I didn't want to sound nervous, but it shows naturally because of my shaking voice. "I need more clues. Is there any way I can know where it usually grows?" I asked.

"It's always hidden under the rocks. That's to avoid the sunlight. Do you have a flashlight? You can use that to distract the fluntuela plant."

I immediately grabbed the flashlight in my bag. The ray of light wakes up the other sleeping plants. All of them start to chase me a gaze. I pointed the flashlight like a gun to different plants. Some made funny noises and loud screams. I have to find a rock. I stopped in front of a flat rock buried in the soil.

Fluntuela plants are hidden under the rocks because of sunlight. Maybe the light distracts them.

I flashed the light on the dead rock. It didn't do anything at first, but soon enough, it starts to melt like an ice cream and a mushroom looking plant with white spots on the side appeared. I smiled when I verified the identity of the plant.

"I think I found it!" I said in a nasal deep voice making my cheeks heated in embarrassment. But at least, I'm sure that I'm eyeing the right plant.

"Go ahead and pick i—" Josh wasn't able to finish what he's saying because of the sound of heavy footsteps from afar.

"I think they're back. Do it fast, Golden!" Damon said in a worried voice.

I immediately grabbed the small box in my bag and cut a piece of the plant. It made a loud squeaking sound, but that didn't stop me from doing so. I scooted out of the dangerous garden. The Hunibee flower didn't stop screaming scandalously and it got worse because of my quick footsteps. Josh is already on his position when I got back to them.

"L—Let's go!" I gasped.

Damon and Josh looked at me and to the safe box I'm holding.

"They're coming this way. Let's head on out to this side. Quick!" Damon said and we vigilantly moved to the blindspot of the place. The amount of dark spots in this place is very bothering, but not for someone like us who's sneaking to their Kingdom. "Fast!" Damon supported my back as we hide just right in time.

I bite my lower lip when I saw the guards also known as eliminators coming to the place where we were a few seconds ago.

"Skwiiiii! Skwiiiii!"

The Hunibee plant is still screaming a loud pitch noise. It caught the attention of the two guards. The one holding a huge map glanced at the said plant. He gave the scandalous Hunibee a huge frown.

"Look at it screaming scandalously after tracking its own movement," he scoffed. The guy beside him laughed. "Some can be really dangerous, but stupid at the same time."

"Hahahaha!" the other guy laughed.

The three of us decided to prevent ourselves from creating movements for we may not be seen for now, but they will see us once we make any movements.

"Wait... Why is the gate open?"

I flinched from the other guy's observation. He went closer to the dangerous garden's gate to check. He grabs the handle of the gate and scanned the inside of the place.

"Don't we lock this all the time?" he asked dubiously.

The other guard shoved his thoughts away with a loud laughter. "Oh, shut up! That's just the wind. You're scaring yoursel—" He stopped speaking when he heard the crack from my shoes. I widened my eyes nervously.

"I—I think he heard me," I whispered the two guys beside me.

Damon hide me behind his back to protect me. But our eyes widened when one of the plants starts shooting them a weird looking bead.

*Pooh!* *Pooh!* *Pooh!*

Each black bead leaves a red mark on their skin.

"Ow! Aw! Fucking Gyuinui plant! Get water, quick!" he said while protecting his face with his hand. The other guy rushed to go and get water. He was about to leave when he glanced at our dark spot once again. He squinted his eyes to check.

*Pooh!*

"Fuck!" he hissed when the bead hit his nose.

*****

That was so close. The guard left with a red nose after that. He was so mad about the so-called-Gyuinui-plant. I glanced at Damon and Josh. We're now heading back to the place where we entered.

"Are you okay?" Damon asked in a worried voice while checking my body for possible bruises. I quickly nodded my head.

"Y—Yeah. The box is right here."

I put out the small box inside my expandable bag. Damon took and open it to see the fluntuela plant. He sniffed the plant and hus nostrils enlargen from the strong scent.

"This is the plant," he said in a deep nasal voice. I looked at Josh. He's still stalling in the corner watching the Wizardus walk past us. We're now hidden and they can't see us from here. "Let's go back."

I was about to leave when Josh next words stopped me.

"I'm not leaving."

My eyes grew big. I glanced at Josh. He sounded so serious and unsure at the same time. "W—What are you talking about? You can't stay here, Josh. Didn't you see how vigilant they were?" I chirped.

He throw us a glance.

"There's nothing out there, Golden. I failed to protect Freeda."

"But that doesn't necessarily means you have to stay in the enemies' Kingdom. You are coming with us, Josh!"

"The guard saw us. He didn't say anything, but the backups are on their way now. I'll buy you time." He looked at me. "Go."

"N—No!"

"THEY'RE RIGHT THERE. MY SENSOR SENSED THREE DIFFERENT AURAS BEHIND THOSE BUSHES. GET THE FIRE READY!"

I winced in horror as the Wizardus guards pointed the place where we're hiding. Wizardus are indeed smart. That guard pretended to not see, so he can call more guard to back him up.

"Let's go, Golden."

"No!"

"We have to go!"

"GET THEM!"

I looked at Josh. He came out of the bushes.

N—No....

"I'm here."
