Chapter 126

This is our last resort. I stared at the young man standing before me. His glasses are still on point like the last time I saw him. You'd never think of him as a wolf because of his physical appearance. But wait till you see his other form.
"He is not the vortan I'm expecting to see," I said my mind. Damon glances at me. "You called Josh to help us. Isn't he a Mythos? How can he help us sneak to the Wizarnia?" I asked confusedly. Brows are furrowed and voice is curious. Josh cleared his voice which catches my attention. He looked at me straight in the soul.
"I volunteered when I heard what happened to my parsen." His voice broke. My brows arched sadly when I saw sparkling of his eyes which means he's about to cry. "I—I know a spell that can the portal to Wizarnia Kingdom. I can get you there. J—Just promise me one thing."
My ears twitched as I listen to whatever it is that he has to say.
"Find the vortan who killed Freeda. Bring him to me. Alive."

My heart is still nervous. Thinking about the sound of his voice when he said what he wanted. Josh sounds so vulnerable and scary at the same time. He's so ready to devour whoever it is that killed his parsen.
I can't help, but feel bad about their love story. Two men are now destroyed and ruined because of her death.
"Are you bringing everything?" Damon asked beside me. I stopped on packing my stuffs. I'm not even conscious enough that I even put the lamp inside my small bag that expands inside.
His gaze went down to the lamp inside my bag. "You're bringing that?" he asked confusedly. I immediately put it out of my bad and chuckled.
"O—Of course not. I'm just a little occupied right now. Can you hand me that armor?" I asked while pointing the small armor keychain he gave to me as a gift. His face brightens after seeing the miniature armor he gave me. I haven't really tried it yet. "We'll just get the fluentela plant and give it to Mapheus, right? We don't necessarily have to fight them."
Damon gave me a small smile as he puts the armor inside my bag. I stared at his face waiting for his response.
"Baby?" I called.
He landed his eyes at me. I can see the uncertainty on his face. So, does that means we have no choice, but to fight them if ever? This is not kind of visit I am picturing. Sure that it's the place of our so-called-enemies. But I don't want to add more fuel to the fire by fighting them.
"Can't we just pretend that we're one of them?" I asked in a worried voice.
"It's not that easy, Golden. We'll have to be vigilant the whole time we'll be there. Do you trust me?"
My lips parted. There's no way for us to be safer? Does that means we have no choice, but to accept the reality that this is a suicide mission?
"I—I trust you. We can do this. We'll fight through this."

The sound of chirping birds made me feel a little less nervous. We're going to meet Josh on the heart of Vortaxia. Damon and I tried our best to keep this mission of ours a secret to everyone. Even Elaine and Gab don't know a thing. Gab promised to help Steve to move on fast. It's one of his gift's properties.
"What if we don't make it?" I finally broke the silence in the forest. Damon remained silent.
"I can't help, but think about the circumstances. Wizardus may not have the supernatural gifts to track us, but they're still smart enough to create their own spells and curses. And who knows? They might have their own special tracker for outsiders and non-wizardus vortans."
"Stop overthinking things, Golden. You'll just scare yourself. Why don't you get this bottle and drink it. Freshen up. You look tired already."
I pouted my lips after hearing what he said. I look tired? What does that supposed to means? That I look old and ugly? Tch.
"You don't have to be scared. I've been to Wizarnia. They don't have advanced security and discoveries there. They're the weakest kingdom for a reason," he said that made my eyes grew big. Damon stopped walking. "Go and sit on that rock. Be careful. There might be spiders."
I'm still pretty astounded on what I've just heard.
"You've been to Wizarnia?" I asked to verify what I heard. He nodded his head. I looked at him straight in the eyes. He doesn't look like he's kidding. "So, you've really been there? That's a surprise. I thought we'd be both new to that place." He chuckled. So, that explains the chillness of his face.
"But how did you get there?"
"Draco lured me there when we were younger. He made me fly over their boarders and I was shot and cursed for two weeks."
My brows furrowed. Why would he do what that pigeon said?
"I was so confused back then. I believed everything he says because I thought he would be a better stepbrother to me that way."
That asshole.
"It's all in the past now. I'm kind of missing his stupid conversations, you know? Hahaha!" he laughed. I looked at my water bottle. It tasted sour and bitter.
"Let's go?" I asked him.
Damon supported me with high rocks and thick and sharp plants. We can't really fly up high because we don't want to catch attention. The walk took us almost an hour to get to the heart of Vortaxia.
Josh was there already when we got there. He was sitting on the rock and staring at nowhere. I glanced at Damon before calling his attention. Josh's senses are enhanced because he's a wolf, but he's so occupied that he didn't noticed us coming.
I cleared my voice when Damon nodded his head. "Josh?" I called. The wolf turned his head to look at us. "Sorry for making your wait. We didn't want to call attention that's why it took us a long time to come here. Have you eaten? We brought some food—" Josh cut me off.
"Should we start?"
I bite my lower lip. Damon lifted his head to look at the serious Josh on the rock.
"Sure."
I heave a deep sigh while while waiting for the next thing that's going to happen. Nobody actually knows where Wizarnia is located. It's a hidden place and no portal can get you there.
Josh jumped out of the rock. His face is so blank. He looks like a different person right now. My eyes widened when he suddenly punch the ground with his bare first. It created a crack on the ground and my brows arched after seeing the light peaking through the cracks.
Wizarnia Kingdom was under us the whole time?!
"It was there the whole time?" I asked astounded.
"How did you know it was there?"
"I happened to saw someone entering. It was an accident. I didn't know what's the kingdom under here at first to be honest. That's why I decided to spy on them more. That's when I learned that the vortans coming inside this place are Wizardus."
I cleared my voice. "A—Are you coming with us?" I looked at the special weapons on his waistband. "You're quite suited. Are you planning on joining us on the mission?" I asked with a hint of hesitation in my voice. He gazed at me.
"I'll kill who killed her."
