Chapter 46

Golden's POV

The hell is she talking about? What does she mean by me dying? And why does she keep on calling me princess?

I was about to answer back when Dragunus came. Their arrogant faces changed in an instant. They look like submissive puppies.

I bowed when Damon bowed his head.

"What's happening in here?" he asked. I can sense the authority in his voice.

I lifted my head slightly to look at him. He's got good clothes. Something a god would wear in this kind of occasions.

"Did you caused trouble again, Draco?" he asked dangerously. I glanced at the red tomato and he looks like he's about to pee in his pants.

Fucking coward.

"Baby..." Damon whispers. I looked at him and he prompted me to bow my head.

Oof! I didn't realize I was standing straight already. I immediately bow my head and listened.

"I didn't started it," Draco answers. My head automatically lifted and glares at him. How dare he lie before me?!

"You came running in here with your arrogant face taunting us and now you're acting like the victim! You even called for your parsen to rescue you. Shame on you for being a coward piece of red tomato!" I said frantically. Totally forgetting about the god beside me.

Oh no.

My eyes grew big from the sudden realization. I am so stupid. Damn!

I looked slowly at god Dragunus and my heart almost jumped out of my chest when I saw his burning eyes. He looks pretty pissed off. Maybe because I dared to interfere in his conversation with Draco? How impulsive of me.

"I—I'm sorry! God Dragunus please forgive Golden. She doesn't know what she's saying," my parsen says and covered himself to me. I mentally smacked my head.

This is what I get for being a gangsta.

"I see your toughness young lady."

My brows arched from what he said. I peaked in between Damon's hand and waist to look at the God of Dragonia. There's a smile plastered on his face. A dangerous one.

"I was worried about you for I know that Chosens are soft hearted by nature and being the only Chosen in this kingdom might terrify you." He smirked. "But that's not seems to be the case. You were even provoking him."

My eyes widened. He seen the whole thing? Uh-oh...

"Let's see your toughness then. You and Damon will battle Draco and Selda," he said and left. Leaving me dumbfounded and freaking dying right now.

Okay. I get the part that I indeed provoked them and even taunting them but those were all talks. How can I possibly fight these two who can transform ten times their sizes. This is not fair!

"Told you princess. You'll die here," Selda slurs and left with his freaking red haired parsen. I clenched my fists.

No. They don't scare me.

"Are you alright?" Damon asked worriedly and check the scratches on my body. I nodded hesitantly and looked away. I'm guilty.

"I—I'm sorry. We could have gotten ourselves a less competitive and demonic opponents but because of my foul mouth we're destined to fight those two," I said apologetically. He shook his head.

"It's okay. Shit happens and you were pretty badass earlier. That was sexy," he jokes. I rolled my eyes. "The way you grab his collar? Damm baby. I would love you to hold me that way in bed." My face heated. This guy really!

"Stop Damon. Seriously."

"I'm kidding baby. Hahah!"

And this is it. The moment of truth. He holds my hand and we both find ourselves a seat. We decided to sit on the front because why not?

I scanned the place to see the dark ambiance of the place. There's a huge difference between dragons and Chosens. Dragonians seemed to be more competitive and serious while Chosens are more friendly and loud.

Must have been the reason why Dragonia stays on top. They're full of powerful and competitive Vortans.

It didn't take long for the Batailen to start. Dragunus seat on the tallest chair in the bowl. I didn't know at first why it has to be that tall but Damon told me that they would be flying.

Okay. So I hate heights?

"Vestacios Dragonians!" he greeted loudly using his deep voice. Those starting greetings are expected to be friendly and cheerful right? His was just pure authority and serious. Kind of scared me to be honest.

"I'm sure you heard about this Picking Dragonian Torch," he says and pointed a huge torch. I scanned it momentarily and my eyebrows arched when I saw the tiny details carved around it.

"This will spit out names and thy shall be your opponents that you can call you enemy."

My brows furrowed. Enemy? Wasn't this supposed to be a friendly battle?

"Baby," I called. He looked at me worriedly. "What was that?" I mouthed, referring to what Dragunus have said. He sounds like it's okay for him if we killed each other in here.

"He doesn't mean it," he says. But I know he's just trying to comfort me. Not helping Damon.

I winced when a loud music started playing. It sounded like an anthem. Everyone stands on their seats and put their hands on their chest. Damon did the same and I remained seated.

Okay this is awkward. This feels like school.

After their little flag ceremony. Dragunus started picking a name. Trust me. I am nervous. I don't want to be called out first and the thought of being called terrifies me already.

"Voughn Nickles and Megan Wash," he called loudly. It's Damon's friend.

He went out from the sea of Dragonians and came running in the battlefield with his parsen named Megan. He's got a really bright personality.

Wonder what kind of dragon is he.

"Jack Procious and Winslet Hulms," he calls again. Two dragonians came out of the bleaches and walked to the circle.

I hear no cheering nor name calling. It was just pure silence and maybe a tiny little amount of talking. The quiet and competitive atmosphere brings chills down my spine and I'm honestly scared now.

What if that Selda girl was serious? What is she'd really kill me? What can a lowly powerless Chosen like can do if a well trained and powerful dragonian like her attacked me with her smart and tactical moves?

Oh geez.

I guess I'm about to die in here for real.

"Position," Dragunus says. Both parties get into their starting positions. I watched them carefully. I wanted to see how they will move their hands and legs.

I wanted to see how fast are they.

If I couldn't get to win over their gifts, I could maybe win over their skills.

We shall find out.
