Golden's POV

I can't sleep.

My eyes have been closed for hours but I'm still wide awake. Damon's hands are wrapped around my waist. He's snoring cutely beside me and as much as I want to sleep peacefully beside him, I just can't seem to fall asleep.

I pouted my lips while staring at the ceiling. Should I cite the multiplication table quietly?

"Golden..." he whimpered.

I looked at him with small eyes. He's still sleeping but his forehead is creased like he's having a bad dream. I reached for his face and caress it softly.

His white skin touched my palm. I smiled when his bothered face faded away in an instant.

"I love you," I whispered to his sleeping handsome face. The two corners of his lips lifted. But still sleeping like a baby.

I carefully pulled his buffed arms away from me. His groan stopped me momentarily but he just turned himself to the other side of the bed. Much better.

I got up and stretch my body.

"I thought I'd lost my back. Geez."

I glanced at the window to see nothing but the darkness of the sky. It's satisfying how everything's bright and colorful on daytime and vice versa on night time. I wanted to creep myself in fear but the darkness of Spheria is still beautiful for me.

I walked to the bathroom. Since I can't put myself to sleep, I would just kill my time by doing girly stuffs. I was about to open the lights when a sudden realization hit me.

I wonder what Spheria is like during night time...

I gazed at my sleeping parsen and smiled. He wouldn't know if I come back early, right?

I don't want to disobey his order of me not going anywhere without him, but I know for a fact that he will never let me leave at this time even if I have him with me.

A short night walk around the castle wouldn't hurt, right?

I plastered a sweet smile and walked to the door. "I promise to come back early baby," I whispered to my sleeping parsen. I carefully close the door and tiptoe away from our door.

"Finally!" I said to myself as I scanned the darkened ambiance of the castle. Every doors I walked passed through are closed. I guess I'm the only one awake here now, huh?

I entered the main hall to see the clean floors and off lights. God Gaviel's statue caught my attention. The bludgeon is still not there. I wonder who would dare took it?

I continued walking to the dining hall. I smiled when I saw the floating sleeping tables. The chairs are uplifted to the flat surfaces of the tables neatly. So this is how the ivaws clean it, huh?

I continued walking to the back side of the castle. The wide fields welcomed my tired eyes. This is where we train and enhance our so called skills.

A hint of sadness crossed my eyes when the sudden realization of me being powerless hit me. How can the two Vortans mentioned on Gaviel's prophecy be powerless? Both I and Damon do not have any special gifts. Aside from the fact that Damon can transform himself to a dragon, he does not have any kind just like me.

"It's been two boring days. I missed training already," I whispered to the wind. My hazel eyes looked at the little stock room we made at the side.

That's where we keep our training tools and equipments. I pouted my lips and walked towards the closed stock room. I didn't mind the cold whiff of wind.

I get my gears and weapons.

I put it all on just like what Diante taught us. He said that there are vulnerable parts in our body that we should cover with gears. The first time I wore it, I thought it would break my back.

I positioned myself on the wide fields and breathe a huge amount of air. "Okay. Here we go, Golden. We're about to apply the things you learned from Diante."

I raised my sword and did all the positions the God of Classife had taught me.

I didn't mind the silence of the fields nor the coldness of the night. I'm too determined to even realize that the clock is ticking and I've been out for hours already.

"Hahh! Ahh! Yahh!" I screamed as I whipped my golden sword in the thin air.

I was about to do the final position when something tripped me. "Ouch!"

I fell on the dirt ground harshly. "Damn it!" I blurted while looking at my soiled clothes. I glared at the freaking object but I didn't see anything. There wasn't anything that can trip me. It was a plain flat ground.

"What the..."

I rolled my eyes when I saw Travis. He has a mischievous smirk on his face. Yeah right he has this gift called invisibility.

"The hell with you!" I jokingly yelled and throw him dirt. He just laughed and gave me a hand. I accepted his help and pulled myself up.

"Hahaha! Why are you still up?" he asked. I smiled at him while removing the soil on my clothes.

"I can't sleep. How about you?"

"Same."

"Since when you've been here?"

"Just a few moments when you're about to blow that position of yours," he chuckled.

"You're such a nuisance," I slurred and rolled my eyes at him. We walked to the vacant seats while still talking.

"So how's Cecilia?" I asked. He looked at me with his amused eyes. "What?"

"You're jealous now?" he blurted.

I rolled my eyes. "Shut up, Travis."

"Hahaha!" His deep voice filled the fields.

I was about to say something when I saw a silhouette of a man walking towards us. "Oh shit," I mumbled.

"Hmm?" Travis looked at me confusedly.

"I think you need to go now," I said nervously. I glanced at Damon and I mentally smacked myself for forgetting his one and only reminder to me.

Never wander around alone.

"Travis go!" I yelled.

"Huh? What? Why?"

He followed my gaze and he gasped when he saw my parsen marching angrily towards us.

"Baby!" I wasn't able to stopped him from laying his iron fist on Travis.

"Damon!" I yelled and grabbed him but he just shove me away and continued punching him. Travis is already bruised on the face and to his neck. Blood started squirting everywhere.

Fuck! What do I do?!!
