Hlaford's visit didn't take long. He said it was to formally introduce himself to the abecedarian and I really appreciate it. He was so kind earlier and it felt like I'm talking to someone I've known for years.
I glanced at my wrist watch but it's gone. I hissed when I remembered what Damon said. Human inventions are not accepted in this place. I'm happy that I still have my clothes on.
I looked around the room and an antique looking wall clock caught my attention.
"It's 5 p.m.," I whispered to myself.
It makes sense. There's still daylight when we teleported in to Vortaxia. Peculiarly, I don't feel exhausted and sleepy at all. It seems like my body have adjusted to this world. It's so cool.
What I'm feeling right now is hunger.
I winced when I heard several knocks at the door. I stand up and opened it. My face automatically smiles when I saw the same ivaw who escorted me in my room. "Ivawww!"he greeted.
"Hello little guy," I said. The ivaw frowned at me.
"Did I say something wrong?" I asked. He nodded and I pouted. "Please don't be upset. What did I say wrong?" I asked. The ivaw grabs something from his pocket and my lips parted when a ribbon came out.
He puts in on his head and I almost slapped myself mentally.
He's a she.
"I'm sorry little lady," I apologized. They all look the same to me and I didn't realize that she's actually a girl.
She smiled and grabbed my shirt. "Where are we going?" I asked. She gave me an eating gesture and I nodded and started following her. I scanned the main hall and I saw a lot of them walking towards the main stairs and following their own ivaw.
They walk on pairs and I couldn't help but feel ostracized for not having one. "Ivaw!" she squeaked excitedly when she saw an ivaw that seemed to be her close friend. Even though I can't understand what they're saying I'm sure that they're just saying hello to each other.
"What the hell are you doing there, Lucy!" a woman yelled. I lifted my head and I saw a girl with purple hair marching angrily towards us. My ivaw hides behind my back and the ivaw named Lucy, started trembling. Her ears were folded and she looks very scared.
"You ugly creature dares to neglect your master!" she frantically yelled at the little ivaw. "Who do you think you are, huh? You want me to pull all you hair off with my poison!" A ball of violet light flashes to her right hand.
Lucy trembled even more and I think something just pricked my heart when I saw a tear fell from her eye.
I can't just stand here and watch.
"Stop!" I surprisingly yelled. The glowing light on her hand disappeared and looked at me. She raised her eyebrows and smirked. "Who do you think you are, bitch?" she slurred. I gasped because of what she called me but I didn't step back and answered her.
"I'm Golden and I'm more than willing to tell Hlaford how badly you treat your ivaw." I fought back. She smirked and the purple light flashes on her hand again.
"I'll put poison in your lips before you can even do that," she threatened. I nervously gulped and looked around. Everyone is busy with their own lives and I think they don't even realize that someone is about to get really fuck here yet.
"And I'll make sure to strangle you to death with roots if you don't leave her alone," a voice said. I followed it and I sighed in relief when I saw Elaine. I've never been so relieved in my whole life.
She was about to yelled at her when Gabby spoke. "Cecilia, right?" he said. The girl looked surprised and she even lower her hand. "My power is telepathy. I kind of read minds you know. I can also see all the bad deeds you've done all your life," he said. Cecilia's eyes widened. She clears her voice and glares at me. "We're not done yet blonde weakling," she murmured.
I released a deep sigh when she finally leaves. Lucy follows her and I genuinely feel bad for her. "I didn't know brats exist in Vortaxia too." I shook my head in disappointment and Elaine laughed.
"We're just like humans, you know," she flipped her hair and I chuckled. We went on the dining hall together and I could sense my ivaw's sadness.
I decided to open my mouth and speak to her. "Hey little lady," I called. She looked at me and forced a smile. "What's your name?" I asked. She shook her and I pouted. "You don't have one?" she nodded and became even more sad.
I think I just failed to comfort her...
"Uhmm. Do you want me to name you?" I asked hesitantly. Her face lightens up and I smiled when she cheerfully nodded her head. "Okay so... What do we name you?" I mumbled. A huge aquarium caught my attention as we head to the dining hall.
"How about bubbles?" I suggested. "Since your pretty bubbly and always cheerful?" I said. She nods her head happily and my eyes widened when she suddenly hugs me. I hugged her back and smiled.
"You're so cute," I told her and chuckled. I winced when something popped in my hand. I pulled off our embrace and stare at my palm.
"Eh?" I said puzzled.
It's like a hair ornament. I looked at Bubbles and she was smiling and her eyes are twinkling. "You get different gifts if you show affection to your ivaw," Gabby said. My lips parted as I turned to look at him.
"Oh. Really?" I said amazed. I scanned the hairpin and smiled. I attached it in to my hair.
When we finally reached the dining hall. Spheria didn't fail to amaze me again with their extravagance. Everything is just beautiful and look very expensive. The chandeliers are insane.
I noticed how tables are arranged in here. There are table for two's only and it's scattered everywhere. And when I say everywhere, I mean everywhere. There are floating tables in the air and I don't even know how some of them managed to sit there.
"Dinia Chosva," Elaine enchanted. My lips parted in amazement when the table above us slowly descends.
So there's some type of magical word to say, huh?
I turned to look at Bubbles but she's nowhere to be found. Elaine and Gabby's table ascends again and I tried to summon one. I stand just in front of a floating table and say the magic word.
"I really wish I'll say this right," I mumbled to myself. "D-Dinia Chosva..." I enchanted. I smiled when the table above starts descending. I sat on the chair and the table started floating again. I squeaked when my feet drew away from the floor.
"Ivaw!" I glanced at my left and I saw Bubbles holding a glass of pink juice and a bean?
She placed it on the table and I looked at it confusedly. Do I get full with just one bean here?
"Food in Spheria doesn't look that appetizing. Don't you think Bubbles?" I disappointedly said. She shook her head and my head tilted.
She grabbed the pink juice and give the bean a drop.
My mouth literally hanged open when the bean disappeared and a feast replace it. There were so many foods. Mostly are fruits and vegetables. It looks so delicious!
"Hey Bubbles. Come on join me," I told her. She shook her head and told me to start eating now. I'm so pumped for this!
I started digging in and everything just tastes so good. I drank my juice and ate a spoonful of noodles. I also have some of the turkey in the side and I've never had such a really good roasted turkey. It's perfectly seasoned.
"May I have all your attention please."
I lifted my head and a man sitting in a floating long dining table stands and looked at us. How can they have such a loud voice without any apparatus?
"Plese be informed that next week, we will be having the Classife."
