Chapter 32: Noise at weddings

2134words
Today is a special day for Nick and Ramona. Their wedding is about to take place, and the church is already full of invited guests who can't wait for that sacred moment. Nick stood in front of the altar with the pastor, his face radiating happiness and a hint of nervousness. Sevano, one of Nick's family members, stands in the front row, along with Belinda, Sonya, Teresa, and Jeseline. However, there was one empty seat—Hunter, who had been invited, was not seen present.

When the doors of the church began to open slowly, the atmosphere changed. All eyes were on Ramona, who looked stunning in a glittering white wedding dress. Her hair was gracefully braided, and she held the bouquet tightly. Ramona stepped slowly on the red carpet, towards the altar, her smile shining like a morning star. Nick couldn't hide his emotions. As soon as Ramona arrived at the altar, Nick greeted her with a loving smile.

The pastor opened the book of promises and asked, "Are you ready?" Ramona nodded enthusiastically, her eyes twinkling. Nick, who was still amazed by Ramona's beauty, smiled widely. She was so happy, she couldn't wait for Ramona to be her forever.

The pastor began to lead the couple to say the sacred vows. Ramona spoke it first, her voice clear and soulful, reflecting her belief in their love. When Nick's turn arrived, suddenly the door of the church opened violently, thundering and shocking everyone.

Hunter appeared with a shaky but authoritative step, accompanied by a line of fierce-looking bodyguards. Hunter's sharp gaze swept across the room, creating a piercing tense atmosphere. The bodyguards swiftly chased away the invited guests, who scattered out in confusion.

Hunter continued to step closer to the altar, his face full of anger and determination. "Nick, hurry up and say your sacred promise!" urged Ramona in a panicked, but confident voice. Nick, who looked confused, nodded and opened his mouth to continue the sacred promise. But before those words could be spoken, Hunter's loud shouts echoed throughout the church.

"Pastor! Do you want to live or die? Quickly get off your place!" Hunter ordered in a cold tone, making the priest tremble and step back.

Ramona stared intently at Hunter, her eyes burning with anger. However, Hunter didn't care. He kept walking, getting closer, as if he wanted to snatch control from Nick and Ramona's hands. All attention was now on this thrilling confrontation, while the atmosphere that had been full of happiness turned tense.

The tense atmosphere escalates when Sonya, with the courage of a mother, immediately steps forward to confront Hunter. "Hunter, what are you doing? Nick is getting married! Why are you making such a fuss?" he exclaimed in a questioning tone, trying to calm the atmosphere.

Hunter stared intently at his aunt, his gaze full of pressure and firmness. "Auntie, go. I only have business with your son," he said coldly, as if affirming that nothing could stop him today.

Sonya shook her head firmly, refusing to leave the place, making Belinda, Nick's mother, come forward with an angry face. "Hunter! What do you do? Why ruin your sister's wedding?" shouted Belinda, her voice trembling with emotion.

Hunter did not provide an answer. With a single hand gesture, he ordered his bodyguards to take Sonya, Belinda, Teresa, and Jeseline out of the church. The four women were forced to leave the place, although they continued to protest violently.

Sevano, who was standing in the corner, watched keenly. He didn't say a word, just waiting for Hunter's next move. Hunter, aware of Sevano's presence, turned his head and looked at him threateningly. "You, especially you, leave now while your legs are still intact," Hunter pressed coldly.

Sevano narrowed his eyes, looking at Hunter with an unwavering attitude. However, he remained motionless. Hunter, who was impatient with Sevano's stubbornness, nodded slightly to one of his bodyguards. Instantly, the sound of gunshots echoed in the church. Sevano fell to the floor, blood flowing down his legs. It turned out that the shot came from Liam, one of Hunter's bodyguards. Without further resistance, Sevano was dragged out by the guards.

Now, the atmosphere inside the church is really tense. The priest who had previously stood on the altar had run away in fear, leaving Nick and Ramona alone facing Hunter. Nick, despite looking tense, still stands tall in front of his brother.

Hunter walked slowly towards the altar, staring at Nick intently. "You stole my weapon," he said with very strong pressure.

Nick smiled wryly, trying to control his emotions. He stepped closer to Hunter, his eyes showing firmness. "We'll talk about your gun issue after I'm done marrying this woman," Nick replied growlingly, his anger starting to build up.

Hunter smiled sideways, his steps getting closer. "Where are you hiding my weapon?" asked Hunter again, this time in a louder and more stressful tone.

Seeing the increasingly dangerous situation, Ramona stepped forward quickly, standing between Nick and Hunter. He opened both hands, protecting Nick behind his back. "It wasn't Nick who did it. But I," Ramona said firmly, her voice sounding loud and full of courage.

Nick was surprised to hear Ramona's confession. He looked at the woman with wide eyes, not believing Ramona admitted something he didn't even do to protect her.

Hunter smiled obliquely, his gaze filled with cold anger. With a quick movement, he grabbed Ramona's neck tightly, making the woman suffocate and try to catch her breath with difficulty. Nick, who saw the incident, swore loudly and stepped forward, intending to fight back. However, before Nick could get close, Hunter deftly pointed his gun at Nick while still gripping Ramona's neck with his other hand.

"Let go of Ramona! I won't forgive you if you touch or hurt him!" shouted Nick in an angry tone.

Liam, who was standing by Hunter's side, also pointed his gun at Nick, adding pressure to the situation. "Shut up," Hunter said in a low but threatening voice. "You're just a snatcher. From the beginning he was mine. It's a shame, he started acting after getting to know you. Even dared to betray me." His tone became even more tense, full of pent-up anger.

Nick looked at Hunter sharply, then let out a mocking smile. "What does it feel like to be betrayed by someone you love? Is it really painful? Sorry, Hunter. Even if he was yours from the beginning, he will be mine. He chose to be with me compared to you."

The statement provoked Hunter's emotions. His angry gaze grew sharper, and Liam moved quickly, pointing a gun at Nick's temple. From the side, a Hunter bodyguard approached, sticking a knife to Nick's neck. "Shut up if you don't want to see this woman's corpse stiffly lying in front of you," Hunter hissed sharply, making Ramona try to struggle. However, the grip on his neck was too strong, and Hunter had no intention of letting go.

Ramona, who was trying to calm her breath in the middle of the grip, finally shouted in a tone full of courage. "You bastard! Luckily, I chose to be with Nick instead of you!" he exclaimed in a loud voice, even though his body felt weaker.

Hunter narrowed his eyes coldly. He shifted the muzzle of his gun, sticking it to Ramona's forehead. "You've betrayed me, turned away from me," he muttered in an angry tone. "Did you forget? Your son is still with me. Do you want to die first, or see your son's corpse?"

Those words made Ramona look at Hunter full of anger and despair. "You coward!" he muttered in a suppressed voice. "Now speak," Hunter continued, tightening the grip on Ramona's neck even more, "where did you hide my gun?"

Ramona looked at Hunter sharply, her eyes full of determination. "I'll tell you," he said slowly, "after you've let Nick go."

Nick was shocked to hear Ramona's sacrifice. He stared at the woman's back with eyes full of emotion, anger, and helplessness. He realized, in this situation, he couldn't do anything to protect Ramona.

Hunter snorted, nodded softly, then removed his grip from Ramona's neck. However, before anyone could react, he quickly flipped Ramona's body, making it face towards Nick. With a well-trained movement, he held Ramona's neck from behind while holding his gun tightly to the woman's temple.

"Oh, so now you love him so much, huh?" sneered Hunter, his voice full of cynicism. Hunter looked at Nick with a cold smile, waiting for his sister's next move. Meanwhile, Ramona just stood stiffly in place, even though her body was shaking, the look in her eyes still showed courage.

Hunter looked at Nick with a cold smile, then spoke in a threatening tone. "Pay close attention to this," he said. With a quick movement, he raised his gun and fired a shot into Nick's right chest.

Nick screamed in pain, his body staggered before finally falling to the floor. Blood began to seep from his wounds, although the shot deliberately did not hit his vital organs. While pressing against his bleeding chest, Nick looked around, realizing that his bodyguards were helpless due to Hunter's actions.

"Nick!" cried Ramona hysterically, tears streaming down her face. He continued to rebel from Hunter's grasp, desperately trying to get close to Nick who was lying weakly on the floor.

Hunter, who was holding Ramona tightly, spoke again in a mocking tone. "It turns out that you love him so much. Alright, I'll do this for you." Calmly, Hunter pointed his gun at Nick's leg and shot him.

Nick's screams echoed in the room, while Ramona screamed louder, her cries getting hysterical and hysterical. "Hunter, stop! You've hurt him enough!" Ramona pleaded, but Hunter didn't budge.

Hunter then carried Ramona's body like a sack, though the woman continued to struggle and beat her back with all her might. "Let me go, Hunter! You're crazy!" Ramona screamed and struggled endlessly, until her eyes caught the gleam of the knife tucked into Hunter's back. Quickly, he grabbed the knife and without hesitation stabbed Hunter in the back.

Hunter screamed in pain, his body staggering slightly. Liam, who saw the incident, immediately ran over to help Hunter. Ramona, who was still holding the knife, prepared to attack Hunter again. However, before he had time to do so, Liam deftly brushed Ramona's hand away, causing the knife to be thrown away.

Nick, who saw Ramona's actions, felt moved and full of emotion. Although her body was struck by excruciating pain, she smiled faintly, convinced of the sincerity of Ramona's love. Ramona, now unarmed, still stares at Hunter with courage, even in a state of threat.

Liam, without wasting any time, injected something into Ramona's neck. "I'm sorry, miss. You need to calm down," Liam said coldly. Ramona, who was still trying to resist, slowly lost consciousness and fell unconscious.

Nick, who was witnessing that, narrowed his eyes sharply, anger burning across his face. He tried to get up, but the pain in his chest and legs made him fall back. Hunter, who was now guarded by his bodyguard, glanced at Nick with a triumphant smile.

Liam carried Ramona's unconscious body on his shoulders, while Hunter, despite his injuries, walked with a determined step, leaving Nick in agony who could only feel physical and emotional pain at the altar that was now filled with the smell of blood and tension.

Nick muttered reproachfully, "I won't forget what happened today Hunter, I'll reclaim Ramona and bring her home." He pressed before he fell unconscious.

Elsewhere, Sonya continues to rebel and tries to escape from Hunter's guards.

"Belinda, hurry up and do something, gunshots keep coming from the church, something must have happened to our son, let's stop them," Sonya begged Belinda to order Hunter's bodyguards to let them go.

Belinda could only be silent, making Sonya even angrier and not knowing what to do at this time.

Jeseline only noticed that until Teresa stepped forward to her aunt.

"Do you know what makes Hunter so bad with Nick?" Sonya squinted her eyes as her son continued to be cornered from earlier.

The clueless Jeseline easily snapped, "If only that lowly maid hadn't come back, Hunter and Nick wouldn't have had a dispute like this. it looks like that lowly maid did it on purpose to pit Hunter and Nick against each other."

"Shut up! Even though Ramona is a maid, she is better than you. Who allowed you to speak, it's about our family!" said Teresa fiercely, making Jeseline squint her eyes and walk away.

Teresa smiled faintly when she managed to drive Jeseline away.

Teresa looked back at Sonya and continued, "Nick betrayed Hunter." Teresa said briefly.
