It was the best day of my life!

***

I returned to New York that weekend, at peace with my parents and myself.

"So how did it go?" Kee asked.

"Perfect. Josh was arrested and he will be behind bars till he gets judged in court next month. His freedom is over."

"Omg girl, I'm so happy. You should've done that from the start. And now what did your parents say about Shane?"

"Well about that, I have to go see him by the way."

"Hmmm, okay."

The next day was Saturday. Shane didn't know I was in town. I got ready and left for H.prods.

I reached the productions and of course I was allowed up to his office. Everyone knew I was his girl now and honestly I felt awesome.

I reached his door and knocked.

"Come in." I heard from inside.

I turned the door knob and pushed the door open.

"Hey, baby." I said happily.

He looked up from his table in surprise.

"Sweetheart! When did you come back?" he asked with a smile as he came over to me and kissed me deep, holding me tight. He'd clearly missed me.

"I missed you." he said.

Bingo.

"I missed you too. More than you think."

"I don't doubt."

He kissed me again.

"Come sit down." he pulled a seat for me. I sat down. Then he retuned to his.

"So tell me, how was it with your parents and the Josh issue?"

I smiled and told him everything.

"Really? That's fantastic! Hahahaha, the bastard. Your dad's a real MVP."

I laughed.

"Hahahaha, yeah."

"Nobody touches his princess. Try and your dead." he joked and I giggled.

"I believe you touched me too." I teased.

When his smile faded, I burst out laughing.

"Oh, right." he chuckled.

"It's less funny now, right?" I teased and he smiled.

"You're a case too, Shayenne."

I giggled.

"Anyway, I also came to tell you that my parents want to see you. My dad especially."

Once again his expression changed. I laughed.

"You're kidding, right?"

"Nope." I giggled.

Shane leaned into his chair and slightly loosened his tie. He was clearly uncomfortable with the idea.

"Hahahaha, don't worry. I told them a lot of positive things about you. Now they just want to see and talk with you. They're cool. They're just trying to make sure I don't end up with someone like Josh again."

He looked at me with a nervous expression on.

"You sure?"

"Yeah."

"Hum. Well, okay then."

"Good. Better prepare your mind, we'll be leaving next weekend."

"So fast?"

"Yeah." I laughed, "Cmon Shane."

"Okay, okay. Next weekend."

"Hahahaha, good."

Well, that weekend arrived quite fast. We took a private flight first class.

While I enjoyed being taken care off, Shane was as nervous as ever.

"Shane, everything is gonna be fine. I promise."

"I know. I hate meeting dads. That's my problem."

I laughed. He always succeeded in making me laugh. Even when he was nervous.

We arrived safely. We reached my parents house and Shane was welcomed appropriately. He was given a different room of course.

"Hope you don't mind sleeping in a different room, son." my dad had told him.

"Um no problem, sir." Shane chuckled.

"You two should go freshen up. We'll discuss during dinner time." my mom cut in with a smile.

"Okay."

**

Evening reached and we were all seated at the table. At first there was silence. But then my mom broke it.

"What do you think of the food, Shane?"

"It's very delicious ma'am. Absolutely appetising. I now see where Shayenne got her great cooking skills." he smirked at me. I smiled.

"Thank you very much. Happy you like it." she smiled.

Guess he'd won one more bit of my mother's favour.

"I'd like to know about you, Shane. I'm talking about your parents, childhood and the rest." my dad continued.

Shane looked at me then back at my dad.

"Um, okay."

Shane told them everything he'd told me. Even Sloane and their relationship. He didn't want my parents to try and research on him and discover something he had not already told them.

"Sir, my past might not have been an exemplary one but I'm a new person now. I make my clean money and I avoid everything that has to do with the past. The fact is, I want you to believe that I really love you're daughter. More than I've loved anyone." he concluded.

My dad stared straight into his eyes. I could clearly see that Shane was uncomfortable.

"And what about the tattoos? I don't like them." my dad stated firmly.

Shane smirked at this to the surprise of everyone.

"I'm sorry Sir, but there's nothing I can do about that now." he replied casually.

I smiled at that. I loved him the way he was.

My dad looked at my mother for a while, then turned to Shane.

"I know. Was just letting you know." he told Shane who looked very amused.

"Well, thanks for letting me know then." he replied.

My dad chuckled a little and shook his head before turning to me.

"And you, do you love him?" he asked me.

"Yes, dad."

"I see." he turned to Shane, "I do hope you're feelings towards my daughter are sincere because I'm not gonna lie, I still got doubts."

Shane turned and smiled at me. Then turned to my dad.

"You have nothing worry about. I assure you. I love her very much. If I didn't take this relationship seriously, trust me, I would've never accepted to follow her here. That's a fact."

He wasn't lying.

My father nodded and looked at my mother.

"So, do you approve me being with your daughter? I love her very much."

He stared at Shane.

"Do I have a choice?" he asked and I found myself smiling.

"Is that a yes?" I mused.

"I believe it's time for you to decide who you want to be with, darling. You're a grown young woman. I just hope you make the right choices."
