Chapter 16: Do I affect you

LYNN'S POV

"Please, for the love of all fucking, tell me the details, tell me the details!" Luis whined after Drake left.

Heat filled my cheeks as I turned away from him, tugging the sheet with me. "A girl never kisses and tells."

Luis snorted. "Bitch, please. A girl who kisses that," He pointed behind him, "Better fucking tell. It isn't everyday I come across a friend hot enough to snatch a guy like that."

Giggling, I shook my head. "Luis, he was amazing. Better than amazing," I stared at the bed I had shared with Drake all night, remembering every moment as if it were still happening.

"Uh oh," Luis breathed out as he stepped up to me. "Someone's got it bad for the porn star."

Now I was the one snorting. "It isn't like that. He was just amazing in bed. Can't a girl dream a bit longer."

If I could, I would have stayed in bed all day smelling the sheets full of his scent. The last sexual experience I had was with Jason and I'd rather not to live that ever again.

"Yeah, whatever, girl. Let's go get some food and do some shopping before we meet Chrissy at the docks."

I assumed Chrissy was the kavana girl we interviewed last night, I wasn't looking forward to being around a ditzy woman like that all afternoon but a ride around on a yacht sounded awesome.

"Alright, well turn around so I can get dressed. Then we'll go."

He spun and I changed into a simple sundress and high heeled sandals to match. I brushed through my hair, leaving it in beach waves, and then we were off. But not before I took one more glance at my messed up bed. Sighing, I shut the door behind me.

~~~~~~~~~~
Lunch and shopping were just what I needed to get Drake off of my mind, but one look at the yacht parked at the docks, and I swear I saw him abroad.
"I'm losing my mind," I muttered under my breath.
"What?" Luis asked, throwing his arm around my shoulders. "We're going to have a blast tonight."
He pulled me along as we boarded a huge yacht, greeted by smiling crew members. And as soon as we boarded, I saw the gate close behind us and the yacht began to move away from the docks.
I will be honest when I say I wanted to jump off. If I was stuck on this boat all night, I wouldn't have the chance to booty call Drake and I was looking forward to another night in my bed with him. Not anymore, I guess.
"Welcome aboard Chrissy. Your host is waiting on the top deck for you with champagne and appetizers."
"Ooh, food!" Luis cried as he took my hand and yanked me along.
Giggling, I replied, "Luis, we just ate! Where are you going to put more food?!"
"In my stomach, ya smart ass!", Luis called over his shoulder.
As soon as we reached the top deck, I saw several people milling around, talking and laughing. There were far more people joining us than I had originally thought and I didn't know a single one of them.
Until I turned and saw him. Drake.
My mouth went dry and my legs began to shake. What the hell was he doing here?! Our meetings no longer felt like coincidence and I reached over to pinch Luis.
"ow, bitch!" He turned and froze when he caught Drake in his sights as well. "Oh, hot damn! He just can't stay away from you. Go say hello and I promise not to get mad if you disappear for the evening, besides," He paused to grin at me , "There are some hotties on the boat I might disappear with myself.
He stepped away from me at the same time Drake made his way over to me.
"Hi," he greeted softly, his eyes searching mine.
I laughed nervously, trying to keep my cool. "Okay, this is weird, right?"
He continued to study my face. "Just a bit," He replied dryly.
The awkwardness between us was palpable, crackling the surrounding air. It almost felt as if he were uncomfortable with my presence, something I hadn't experienced with him before and I couldn't put my finger on it.
"Just to be clear," I started, nibbling on my bottom lip, "I didn't know you would be here. I promise I'm not obsessed with you or anything." The urge to slap my fore head was strong. I really needed to know when to shut up.
A small smile tugged at one corner of his mouth as he continued to study me, his gaze slithering over me like a snake. "I must not have left that good of an impression last night....," He paused while he reached up to push a strand of hair from my face that had blown loose from the sea breeze before he added, "and again this morning."
My cheeks were crimson, the heat consumed my face and I tried to look away but Drake had other plans, holding my face forward by my chin. He was always doing this and I wasn't sure if I liked it because he was doing it, or because he held an authoritative demeanor when he did so. Either way, a wave of excitement swam through my veins and now I wished we were back on the island and not stuck on this stupid over priced boat.
 "The impression left was good," I whispered, feeling arousal crawl across my skin.
"Just good?" He smirked.
Nervously, I pulled my gaze from him and saw that we had a small audience. A few people stood among each other, staring intently at us.
"People are watching," I pointed out, looking back up into his piercing blue eyes.
One of his brows lifted in amusement as he continued to stare at me, his hand still on my chin as he brought his thumb up and ran it across my bottom lip. An ache went straight between my legs and I inhaled a sharp breath.
"I'm used to having eyes on me," He whispered, his gaze moving down on my lips now. "I think I might taste later, but right now, you look a bit uncomfortable. Do I affect you this much, Rhea?" His voice was dangerously low and the way he was looking at me right now made me feel things I hadn't felt in a very long time.
